It was a clear and sunny day in Yoshi’s Island and all of the Yoshis were headed to the beach. Not Yoshi, however, he decides to go to Sarasaland instead to visit Princess Daisy Rose. She was hoping he would go to her summer party instead of Princess Peach’s. Princess Daisy and Princess Peach don’t quite get along. Yoshi knew that if going to one of the Princesses’ party, the other one would start making a fuzz. So Yoshi made a dummy of himself and threw it through Princess Peach’s open window where the party was held. Yoshi is quite glad that Princess Peach is so careless that she leaves the windows open. Princess Peach fell for the dummy strategy and started hugging him and saying, “Oh, thank you for coming to my party instead of that rotten brat Daisy, Yoshi, the refreshments are on the table.” Now, Yoshi was bound to Sarasaland for the real treat. “I hope I’m not too late” Yoshi said as he stumbled onto Mario. Mario stopped to talk to Yoshi but all Yoshi could ask is “Where are you going Mario?” Mario was quite shocked that Yoshi has no idea where he always goes. Nevertheless, Mario responded,
“I-a am going to Princess Peach’s Party.” “Well, me going to Princess Daisy’s party” said Yoshi with a bright smile on his face. “By the way, Yoshi, do you-a know if there is ravioli in the refreshment table?” Yoshi just nodded. “Thanks-a anyway.” Yoshi said his farewell to Mario and once again headed off to Princess Daisy’s party. As Yoshi walked on, all he could think about is why Sarasaland is so far off. Yoshi knew he could make it for he has run a three-lap race against Boshi in Yoshi’s Valley, which was pretty long on foot, but he loses like always. Yoshi really hates Boshi every time he loses against him because to him, Boshi is a big bully. Yoshi longs to be as good or even better than Boshi but no matter what he tries, Boshi is always one step ahead of him. As soon as Yoshi stopped thinking about Boshi, he caught a glimpse of the top of Daisy’s castle. Oh how Yoshi yearns to see the royal yellow-daisy-like gown of hers. Yoshi is just a few miles from her castle. So he started running faster, faster, and even FASTER until he bumped into Luigi and sent him flying into a puddle of mud. He heard Luigi groan in pain making Yoshi feel sorry for him and gave him a quick friendly hand.
“Luigi, what are you doing here?” Yoshi rapidly asked. “Same thing you are here, to go to Princess Daisy’s party, who knows, maybe I’ll get a kiss from her tonight.” Yoshi rolled his eyes. “Luigi it’s a party not a date” a voice said. “Who said that” Yoshi and Luigi said being in a very frightened level.
“Oh don’t be silly, Luigi, it’s me, Princess Plum.” Yoshi and Luigi both were relieved. “You’re going to Daisy’s too, Plumy” Yoshi asked in a sweet voice. “Why of course, me and Princess Peach got in an argument yesterday and I told her I won’t go to her party and she acted like she didn’t care. Seriously, that Peach has no manners. Anyway, Luigi why don’t you go into town with me, you know, for some quality time after all those years.” Luigi was shocked. “I’d be happy to, Plum, but is it really okay” Luigi said in a soft tone. “Well, of course it’s okay” Yoshi was quite astonished that Luigi would rather spend some time with Princess Plum than going to Daisy’s party. “Yoshi, sweetie, why don’t you run along to Daisy’s castle now. We’ll meet you there soon, okay.” So Yoshi said his farewell and ran along to Princess Daisy’s party. He was almost there; he could smell the cake but then bumped into Kamek. “Ah, yes, Yoshi, you meddling dinosaur, you’re going to Daisy’s party am I correct” Kamek said with a sinister smile. “Kamek, what are you up to now” Yoshi demanded to know. “If you want to know, I’m am going to crash into that party and you can’t stop me because I have a shield, a magnetic shield, bwahahahahahaha!” Just then Yoshi’s brain got a kick. “A magnetic shield huh, well eat anvil you creep!” Yoshi, miraculously took an anvil out of his pocket, and let the magnetic shield suck it up and suddenly Kamek flew with a loud ‘clink’. You’ll pay for this you fiiiiiiiiiiiiiend. His voice faded in the sky and he could now enter the party peacefully. Yoshi was tired and hungry so he went to the refreshment table to get some punch. Suddenly Daisy came out, elegantly walking down the stairs. Everyone clapped and cheered as her gown shone brightly in the room. Then she began her “Thank you for coming” speech. It’s just like Peach’s but she tweaked it a bit. At last, she announced, “Let the party, initiate!” Daisy walked up to Yoshi and gave him a big hug saying, “Oh, thank you for coming to my party instead of that wretched, putrid Peach, Yoshi, the refreshments are on the table.”
“What a day, I’m glad that it ended just like I planned” Yoshi said with a big, bright smile.
