In Yoshi’s Island, life was going as usual, happy. Everyone was moving around from one place to another, finding something to keep them occupied while the Yoshi children scheme plots to go adventuring. Yoshi, however, likes to hang around with no care in the world. “Hmm ... I wonder why the kids aren’t trying to escape from their parents?” Yoshi wondered. “Uh-huh. Got it.” The Yoshi kid leader whispered to his friends and fellow followers. “Excuse me, Mr. Yoshi, may we ask you something?” “If it’s about creating a diversion, then forget it. I’m heading out to the Mushroom Kingdom to see my friends and—“ “Well, actually, we just wanted to ask you something else. Since you are so brave and always do things right, we wanted to dare you.” The Yoshi kid responded. Yoshi did not like the looks of where this was going. Yoshi stood cross-armed and stared at the children. “I’ll do it, if you promise to go to school for a two years straight without complaining.” Yoshi agreed. “Ok! We want you to visit Sarasaland for one day and stay there until the next day.” The little Yoshi smiled. “What? I can’t just roam around kingdoms as if I own the place. Besides, you did that to Boshi and his goose was cooked.” “Fine. I guess you’re not as brave and strong as we thought.” The little Yoshi children began to cry and Yoshi had no other option. “Fine. But you’ll have to behave for two years like you promised.” Yoshi said as the children cheered him on.
Yoshi took the newly built warp-pipe that would easily transport him to the gates. Of course, he took this opportunity to disguise himself, to hide his identity. He approached the gates and with his mysterious look, he convinced the guards to allow him to enter. Yoshi walked to Princess Daisy’s Castle, where Daisy would definitely loan him a room to stay. He waltzed into the castle with perfect stealth, sneaking through the elegant corridors undetected, avoiding security guards at all costs. “Hmm ... now how will I ever get to her room?” pondered Yoshi. He heard the elevator, however it was too crowded. He took the risk of climbing the stairs. Besides, it was the only safe way to reach Princess Daisy’s room. The primary entrance was heavily guarded, making it impossible to surpass security. Yoshi finally made it to the top, but two guards guarded Daisy’s room. He would have to go around, come out one of the nearby room’s window and jump into her balcony, doing it with grace and precaution.
All the nearby rooms were guarded as well. “How am I ever going to reach her?” wondered Yoshi. He ran to the farthest room, the music room, which was completely deserted. He took off his disguise, hid it under a rug, and climbed out of the window. He jumped on the roof of the castle, where he planned to slowly and quietly side step to Daisy’s balcony. “Wow! What a view from up here!” said Yoshi as he was moving closer to the balcony. Finally, he jumped onto her balcony and opened the glass door. Daisy was combing her hair, obviously preparing for a very, important meeting. “Hello Yoshi! How in the world did you sneak in here? Today’s not a good day to visit you know,” said Daisy. “I know, but I was dared to. I couldn’t let those children down and make them think I’m a phony.” replied Yoshi, looking at all her cosmetics. “Princess, are you ready? I’m coming in on the count of three! 1...” the commander’s voice appeared behind the door. “Oh, quick, Yoshi, hide in my wardrobe!” said Daisy, desperately shoving Yoshi in her wardrobe. “...2...3! Well, you look splendid! Now come on down, the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, the chief of the Yoshies, and Princess Plum are waiting in the meeting room.” said the Commander of the guards. “Sure, I’ll be there in a minute,” replied Daisy. “Hey, Daisy, is this all you wear? Yellow gowns? Where’s everything else?” asked Yoshi in curiosity. “That is none of your business. Ok, Yoshi, now I want you to stay her and act invisible. You could sleep here. Just, promise me not listen to what some foolish children have to say. You have a right to control your life, you know.” Princess Daisy said, kissing Yoshi’s nose and walking out the door.
Princess Daisy finally arrived around bedtime. She changed into her gown pajamas (similar to her regular gowns) and loosened her hair. She read her messages and set her clock. She prepared the bed for a goodnight sleep. “Yoshi, do you know where my lullaby locket is?” asked Daisy. “It’s right there in the top drawer,” replied Yoshi. “Thanks! Goodnight Yoshi. At last, this nightmare is over. By tomorrow, you can return to your island and show of to Doshi.” “Um ... it’s Boshi.” “Oh, whatever. Goodnight. See you in the Yoshi news!” “Good-night Daisy. I really don’t want to listen to those children again.” Yoshi concluded as he switched off his lamp and went to sleep. The next morning, he woke up early to get a head start before the guards returned and exchanged farewells with Daisy. He immediately returned to his island to tell of his marvelous epic. The Yoshi children were stuck doing their work and behaving well for two years solid.
