Be prepared for Chapter 4!!!
Anger flourished between the thief and the good side. Yoshiken heated up his hands and shook his fist towards the thief. He gave him a dirty look, raised his hands, and cast a mighty flame on the thief. The thief blocked it with ease and performed a counter attack of his own. A dark substance hit Yoshiken and glued him to the cavern wall. Tim Yoshi ran towards Yoshiken and washed away the substance.
“Give it up, the longer you waste your time with me, the more danger your precious Anjil walks into. There is nothing you can do to stop me.” The thief said as he smiled towards the group.
Koshizu disappeared for a second and reappeared with the “#1 Graedius the Red Mage Fan” doll and threw it on his face. The thief bounced back and lost his balance. Mailtroid grabbed the F-15 jet model and threw it at him. At this time, the thief fell. Teh Yoshi grabbed the wand that was next to the Graedius doll, ran towards the thief, and threatened to use it against him. Joshi used his YATE Paralysis Whip and whipped the thief along with a shocking jolt. The thief could not move. Tim Yoshi and Yoshiken finished it off by forming a cocoon around the thief made of the elements Fire and Water, to create the substance “Cold Fire.”
“You were saying?” said Yoshiken raising his eyebrows. He crossed his arms and laughed.
“Now, time to find out who this naughty thief is. Joshi, use your YATE Water Launcher.” said Mailtroid, pointing the thief towards Joshi’s aim.
Joshi charged up his Water Launcher and cleaned up all the purple substance the thief used to disguise himself. When he uncovered the thief, Yoshiken gave a very dark expression.
“Who the heck are you?” asked Joshi, with a confused expression.
Yoshiken covered his face and expressed anguish. He took a deep breath and opened his eyes. He could not believe who he saw. He took another deep breath and opened his mouth.
“It’s ... Scade, my arch-nemesis. How did I end up helping you? I thought I gave Boshi the disguise. You always ruined my plans! You have interfered with me for the last time!” yelled Yoshiken with much anger. He heated up his hands ready to strike but was quickly interrupted by Scade.
“Yes, Yoshiken, you thought you gave the disguise to Boshi, but you didn’t. In fact, I persuaded Boshi to give me a realistic costume of himself. How? A pass to paradise, and black mail. Either he chooses to accept my pass to a vacation cruise and give me a costume of himself, or he would have to battle me in front of the other villagers. You and everyone else fell for the scam. You all were easily tricked to think I was your usual bully, which comes to no surprise to me. Now it doesn’t matter. As you all know, Anjil is missing and she’s underground. You’ll never save her now!” said Scade. He gave a big sinister grin at the others. They still have not seen Anjil.
They left the Scade lying on the floor to find access to the lower mines. They found that a huge boulder blocked the path to the lower levels. They turned to Joshi and he activated his YATE Power Gauntlet. Unfortunately, there was no power left, and there was no source of energy anywhere.
Meanwhile, Anjil and the star shadows reached the end of the passageway which led to the higher levels. They can see it is much brighter now, even more with the help of Anjil’s Sapphire Locket. She held it firmly to give her confidence and courage. She must venture into the mines to find her way out. She stopped for a moment as two torches lit up. Someone walked up to her. She and the star shadows backed away slowly. The figure revealed itself slowly until Anjil can make out the person. It was the stranger she saw a bit after her Sapphire Locket was swiped, 00Yoshi.
“So we meet again, Anjil. It is I, 00Yoshi. Trapped in the mines I see. Let me give you some words of advice to guide your way,” he said as he walked up to her. He closed his eyes and rocked gently. “Pray that your journey back is a long one, for you will find much more than your way out, but a friendly deed. Let the truth be told as the light of the Sapphire leads the way. From cave to cave, from chamber to chamber, you will find danger upon its slumber. Find two more to join your party, and with their techniques and knowledge, you will soon find, that through the power of friendship and faith, all desires will be met.”
“Wait, what does that mean,” Anjil asked as she slowly extended her hands to grab a hold of 00Yoshi. “Please, don’t leave me again. We need you to guide us.”
“I’m sorry Anjil, but I believe my job here is done.” he said as he touched her face, closed his eyes, and disappeared.
Anjil looked back at the star shadows who walked up to her once more. She smiled with bright eyes and tried her best to decipher 00Yoshi’s riddle. Through it, she might find her way out of the mines.
“But who are those two more that 00Yoshi mentioned?” Anjil asked to herself as she walked further through the mines.
Anjil walked through a chamber that seems to be lightened up. She was curious as to what or who may have ignited the torches. She walked slowly through the chamber, aware of her surroundings and making sure the star shadows are keeping up. Anjil walked even deeper into the chamber and her Sapphire shone even brighter. Then a gust of ice blew against her wings. It felt refreshing in such a hot place. She tripped over many stones, rocks, and even gold. The star spirits hid behind Anjil for a moment as Anjil saw someone with a red cape. He was forming beautiful crystals made of ice. Her Sapphire Locket shone even more brightly at this as Anjil’s curiosity grew larger and larger.
“Hello. Who are you? Do you know the way to the surface?” asked Anjil while expressing some of her curtsey.
“Hello Anjil. So let me guess, you’re trapped in this forsaken, abandoned place and you want to find your way to the surface so you can return home with your Sapphire Locket? Is that correct? I’m Graedius the Red Mage. I came here to find materials. I lost my partner in the mines and perhaps he may be lost. I’ll gladly join you if and only if you find him. I’m not going back without him and without my materials. His name is F-15 Yoshi.” said Graedius as he sculpted the crystal.
“How does he look like?” asked Anjil, willing to help.
“He is a Yoshi with a pilot’s uniform and a helmet with a flashlight he brought to the mines. You can’t miss him.” said Graedius, returning to his sculpting.
“All right, will do. I have a request. Would you take care of these little ones? They are star shadows and they need to find their way back to the stars.”
“No problem. I’ll take full responsibility for them. Now go find my partner before I cast a fire on you to make you run out of here.” said Graedius as he gathered the star shadows and placed them in an orderly fashion where he can both sculpt and keep an eye on them simultaneously.
Anjil ran quickly out of the chamber to find Graedius’s partner. Her Sapphire Locket brightened the way for her. She followed the light of her locket north to south, west to east. In a few minutes, she reached another passageway that led to a higher level of the mines. Her locket did not shine upwards however, and she followed the light of her Sapphire Locket, just like 00Yoshi advised her to do.
While Anjil followed the light, the others were thinking of ways to destroy the boulder. Koshizu took out her mirror to shine some light on a hole. Joshi smiled at her with bright eyes. Night Croshi took her mirror away and handed it to Joshi.
“I have a brilliant idea! We can reflect light from outside using mirrors or reflectors. It would take 100% cooperation from everyone however. Here’s what we’ll do.” said Joshi who looked at Mailtroid to continue the idea.
“All right, we’ll need Koshi to go outside and hold the mirror, pointing towards the Mine. Teh Yoshi will use his medallion to reflect a portion of Koshi’s light towards Night Croshi. Night Croshi will use his badge to reflect a portion of Teh Yoshi’s light towards me who will reflect Night Croshi’s light towards Joshi’s Gauntlet using this orb.” said Mailtroid as he quickly plotted the plan and instructed everyone to get in position. Tim Yoshi, Fifth, and Yoshiken made sure everyone was in a correct angle to successfully reflect the light. When Tim Yoshi gave the signal to Fifth, who gave the signal to Yoshiken, Koshizu lowered he mirror precisely towards Teh medallion which successfully reflected to all the points that led directly to the Gauntlet. When it gained enough power, the signal was given to put away the items and to gather up by the boulder. Joshi powered up his Gauntlet and punched the boulder, which rolled down the hill and crashed into a strong rocky wall that caused it to be crushed. They all quickly entered the mines, and completely neglected Scade, who was still trapped and cannot move off the floor.
Anger flourished between the thief and the good side. Yoshiken heated up his hands and shook his fist towards the thief. He gave him a dirty look, raised his hands, and cast a mighty flame on the thief. The thief blocked it with ease and performed a counter attack of his own.
