Anjil walked back with Graedius, the star shadows, and F-15 Yoshi, who lost all evidence of the underground plane crash. After, they have left the crash site, Anjil and the others began hearing the voices that called her name. Anjil, F-15 Yoshi, and the star shadows ducked behind the boulder, Graedius stood there paying close attention to the voices.
“All right lass, I’m going to check where those voices are coming from. Stay here if you wish.” said Graedius without expression.
“Graedius, aren’t you a bit wee afraid of those voices. What do they want with Anjil? Who could be calling her in such a dreadful place?” asked F-15 Yoshi, shivering with Anjil and the star shadows.
“Lad, I don’t do with fear. Neither should you, these emotions could cause trouble. Now, please excuse me while I go take a look at these voices.” he said, again without expression.
Graedius left them behind and the boulder and walked up the passage way Anjil saw while looking for Graedius. It was very dark and silent, until a thud could be heard.
“Oof, w-who’s there? M-Mailtroid, get the flashlight.” The small voice said.
Mailtroid switched the flash light on and everyone could be seen. It was Joshi who Graedius bumped into. Along with him was Mailtroid, Koshizu, Teh Yoshi, Night Croshi, Fifth, Yoshiken, and Tim Yoshi, who was most concerned about Anjil Yoshi’s safety.
“What are you guys doing here? You scared Anjil Yoshi and my partner. Why don’t you try to be less quiet in such a dreadful place?” asked Graedius, getting the dirt off his clothes.
Tim Yoshi took a hold of Graedius and gave him a desperate look. Graedius was not amused.
“Where is she?” demanded Tim Yoshi.
“Lad, you better get your hands off of my clothes or I shall ignite you! Touch me again and you’re a dead man!”
Tim Yoshi let go of Graedius and backed away by two feet. Graedius wiped his clothes again and looked at the team.
“Aye, Anjil is with me and F-15 Yoshi. Oh and she brought a few star shadow friends with her. She is hiding behind a boulder from you people because you constantly kept calling her name while she was off doing some errands for me. Come, this way.” said Graedius, as he walked back down with the team.
Graedius led them down to the boulder where they reunited with Anjil. Anjil came out and yelled with excitement, and F-15 Yoshi revealed himself with a sigh of relief. Only the star shadows remained behind the boulder.
“Ahem, allow me to introduce the “scary beyond belief” voices.” said Graedius with a smile.
“Graedius, don’t rub it in, please.” said F-15 Yoshi rolling his eyes.
“Oh guys, I want you to see the star shadows. Come here little ones, it’s okay, these are my friends.” said Anjil.
The star shadows revealed themselves slowly and in an orderly fashion. They all appeared in a straight horizontal line. The team gasped as they saw each of them. Tim Yoshi walked up to Anjil in curiosity.
“Anjil, how did you end up down here?” asked Tim Yoshi.
“My sapphire locket, I couldn’t find it and I fell through a trap door while you all were celebrating. Then I met the thief holding my sapphire locket and I followed him-“Anjil continued the story as the others continued to hear it. “Mostly, however, it was my sapphire locket, it has done the craziest things and I don’t understand why it’s doing this to me. See, look, now it’s glowing to the direction where you all came from, how does my sapphire locket know these things? Does it have like a built in computer or something?”
“I can explain that,” said 00Yoshi. “Your heart activates the mind of your locket. It guides you using your will to do good things and...” 00Yoshi was quickly interrupted.
Anjil Yoshi stormed up to him, grabbed him by the shirt collar, and slapped him across the face several times. The others just looked at how violent she is to a complete stranger. Graedius raised his eyebrow in interest.
“You always knew what to do and yet you just abandon me as if I knew what the heck you are talking about. Well, it ain’t going to work this time buddy because you know what, you are coming with me this time, and you are going to tell me exactly what I want to know and when I would like to acknowledge it! No ifs, ands, or buts about it little mister. I’ve had it with your mysterious attitude and your rude reactions towards me. See this face? This is the face of disappointment because you messed up big time letting me do all the work without understanding a single word of your confounded riddles. Am I clearly understood?” roared Anjil.
“C-C-C-Crystal clear.” trembled 00Yoshi, trying to regain the damage on his face.
“Good, I’m glad we worked it out.” said Anjil releasing 00Yoshi.
“Oh dear, I never saw this side of Anjil.” said Fifth.
Anjil commanded everyone to follow her with 00Yoshi beside her. They went up the passageway, following the light of Anjil Yoshi’s sapphire locket. At last, they can see the sun shimmering through a few open gaps on the mines. They continued to run upwards until finally, they were back to the cave where they left Scade.
“103 bottles of beer on the wall, 103 bottles of beer, you take one down, pass it around, and- finally you arrived. I’ve had it with this cocoon, just take me to jail already.” demanded Scade.
“HA! Serves you right loser, I’d leave you there forever if I had my way. Oh yeah, Anjil, this is the thief and my arch-nemesis, Scade. Hey Night Croshi, could you handle him?” asked Yoshiken.
“Surely!” responded Night Croshi, walking up to Scade, picking him up, and walking back with the team.
They walked back outside where they can finally taste the bright, shiny sunshine. Anjil Yoshi turned to 00Yoshi to ask him a question.
“Ok, smart guy, I have a question and I want an answer. How can I return the star shadows back to the stars?”
“Why, the same way they were taken away, open the locket and let the remaining light shine to the sky. It will open a gate for the star shadows to reach the stars once more. Can I go now?” asked 00Yoshi.
“Yes, you’re done here Mr. Riddles, now go and don’t see me at all for 3 months. I want to get over the fact that you caused so much trouble for me.”
“W-Will do.” He said, disappearing in the thin air, as usual.
“Ok little ones, it’s time to go home.” She said, opening the locket that creates a magnificent light towards the heavens.
The star shadows enter the gate individually and each shared a very happy farewell. They were very grateful to Anjil Yoshi, and they once again returned to the stars to shine upon the sky. Once they all returned, the sapphire locket closed. Anjil picked it up and put it around her neck. The police force quickly came towards them noticing the light. They demanded to know who was responsible for reentering the mines and causing so much chaos. Everyone pointed at Scade and he was taken away. Yoshiken laughed so hard, fire came out of his mouth. Everyone decided to return home and were grateful to Anjil for helping them get their most prized possessions back. Anjil Yoshi yawned and return to her home. She entered her room, took of her sapphire locket, stored it in the chest, and fell fast asleep...
