Yoshiken quietly snuck to the front entrance of the hotel and quietly opened the door. He entered the hotel and closed the door cautiously as he heard sobbing coming from the chair nearby him. Yoshiken heated up a small flame to light up the lobby and to find the source of the sobbing. As he moved closely to the source, he noticed a green Yoshi with mechanical gadgets.
“Joshi? Is that you?” he asked in a whisper.
Joshi looked up at Yoshiken with tears in his eyes.
“Yes.” responded Joshi.
“Why are you crying?”
“Because I don’t belong here anymore.”
“What makes you think you don’t belong?” said Yoshiken as he walked up to Joshi and wiped his tears.
“Anjil and Graedius were discussing and I overheard them talking about me. They said I am a major threat to this village and I should be disposed off at once.”
Yoshiken was engulfed with anger and flames began to appear in his hands.
“Oh, it’s that so? Don’t worry Joshi, I’m not going to stand around and let Ms. Guardian Angel and Red Mage freak eliminate you. I’m going to teach them who doesn’t belong around here.” said Yoshiken, powering up his flames.
Joshi stopped crying and looked surprised at Yoshiken.
“You mean you want to help me out, even when I called you a jerk, kicked your knee, paralyzed you, teased you, hurt your feelings by reminding you about your dark past with your family, and made you chase me for days?”
“Joshi, don’t push it. If you do, I can’t guarantee that you will not leave the lobby alive. Yes Joshi, I realized something very important. You helped me realized what family is truly about, it’s about love, being there for each other, and always sticking together no matter what obstacles you face, not the privilege to rule the world and become more mightier than others. Joshi, you were right, I’m just a tool to Lt. Tronzoa, he isn’t my family, and he doesn’t love me or cherish me at all. I didn’t realize it until you walked into my life. Look, I’m really sorry about what I said to you earlier, about how you ruined my life. I was wrong, you are the one that finally gave meaning to my life and knocked sense into me, and I’m not going to let your efforts be in vain just because of some stupid mages who believe you are a deadly threat to society. To me, you are more than just Joshi of YATE, you are the best rival I have, but most of all, a true friend. I know I sound sappy when I say this but, every person has a light in their heart, even the one with the most destructive heart. I would give anything just so I can remove this title but I can’t rid of my capabilities. No matter what, you will always be my YATE buddy, and my rival. Now, I have something very important to say, but I suppose I can do you the sub-line favor of protecting you from complete annihilation first. Just don’t cry, I love your stupid looking smile, makes me want to smile myself. If it means anything to you, I’d be glad to be someone like a brother to you, and I’ll take you back to your family, I promise. So what do you say?” said Yoshiken, patting Joshi on the back.
Joshi was speechless and overwhelmed by Yoshiken’s friendly speech. The only words that came out of him were...
“Yoshiken, you silly old dragon, just come over here and give me a hug already!”
Yoshiken and Joshi shared a friendly hug and smiled at each other.
“Be right back Joshi.” said Yoshiken as he left the hotel.
Yoshiken walked towards the bench where Anjil and Graedius sat. He powered up a fire blast and raised his arms. Anjil looked behind and sprang out of the bench.
“No, don’t shoot!” yelled Anjil trying to stop Yoshiken from shooting Graedius.
Anjil missed Yoshiken’s arm and a powerful blast struck Graedius from behind. Anjil got very angry.
“Why did you shoot?” asked Anjil, blocking herself with the scepter.
“Listen here gorgeous, nobody, I MEAN NOBODY, messes with my rival! I know what you are up to, and get this straight; if you want to dispose of Joshi then you’ll have to get through me first! You may be beautiful on the outside, but I’m standing right here and I’ve never seen anyone uglier on the inside!” said Yoshiken, powering up another blast.
“What are you talking about? We weren’t going to dispose of Joshi, who told you that?” asked Anjil, helping Graedius up.
“Joshi overheard you speaking and he said that you said he was a threat to Yoshi’s Corner.”
“Heh, we weren’t talking about Joshi. We were talking about the guy he claimed to have caused the collapse of the ICT, Lt. Tronzoa. Graedius and I discussed about how he was a threat to our village and should be disposed of immediately. Did he really hear that?” asked Anjil, regaining her temper once more.
“Oh this is embarrassing. Perhaps he may not have heard all of it. I’ll talk to him.” said Yoshiken, blushing.
“Aye, you better laddie, because if I get blasted one more time, it isn’t going to be gorgeous.” said Graedius, giving Yoshiken a threatening glare.
Yoshiken ran to the hotel before Graedius could do anything drastic. He found Joshi patiently waiting at the lobby once more.
“Oh Joshi. I just attacked Graedius the Red Mage and almost blasted Anjil, you know what the feedback I got was?” asked Yoshiken, crossing his arms.
“They are going to get rid of me and you now?” guessed Joshi.
“No. YOU DOPE, THEY WEREN’T TALKING ABOUT YOU, THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT LT. LAZY BONES!” yelled Yoshiken.
“They did? You mean I’m not going to be disposed?”
“Let me put this in terms you can understand. No, you are not going to be kicked out or annihilated. In fact, I learned that the hard way, embarrassing myself. I forgive you though, that’s what family is for! Just don’t let it happen again.” warned Yoshiken.
It was now morning and the sun rose. Suddenly, Yoshiken remembered what he came to Joshi for. He had to warn him about Lt. Tronzoa.
“Oh my gosh, Joshi! You have to go back to the Yoshi Advanced Technologies Enterprise! Now! Hurry!” yelled Yoshiken, shoving Joshi to the door.
“Wait, I need to wake Mailtroid up, and why do I need to go back anyway?” asked Joshi, crossing his arms.
“Ay! Joshi, Professor Mowrylean refused to turn you and Mailtroid over again and that was the final chance Lt. Tronzoa gave him. He’s going to destroy him along with his enterprise with the same cannon he used to destroy the Intergalactic Communications Tower! There isn’t enough time left, you must hurry!”
“Oh no! Yoshiken, get Mailtroid and tell him to find help and bring them to the enterprise. I will go in to evacuate Mowry! Hurry Yoshiken!” rushed Joshi as he tried activating his Rocket Shoes.
Joshi continuously tempted to activate his Rocket Shoes. Unfortunately, they had no power left. Joshi decided to sprint to the enterprise without the speed of the rockets. Yoshiken flew upstairs to Joshi’s hotel bedroom and woke up Mailtroid. He alerted of what was happening and requested that he looks for back-up and bring them to the Enterprise. Yoshiken then flew out the window.
“I must return to Lt. Tronzoa’s base and try to stop him before he completely destroys the enterprise!” he said as he flew to the direction of Lt. Tronzoa’s headquarters.
“HA HA HA HA! Today’s the day I begin phase two of conquering the world, destroying my brother’s enterprise so the experiments will never be reproduced! I shall keep all the original and indestructive ones to myself and rule the world where evil freely roams around! This time, I cannot fail,” said Lt. Tronzoa, pointing the cannon towards the enterprise. “Let’s see how my brother will react when he finds out I’m taking him down. He’ll think twice before messing with me again, oh wait, ha, he can’t because he shall never think again!”
Mailtroid gathered as many villagers as possible and headed towards the enterprise.
“All right villagers, we must move quickly before Lt. Tronzoa fires that cannon! Come on quickly, let’s move, he is certainly going to target us next!” said Mailtroid leading them.
Joshi was running as quick as possible when he was about a mile from the enterprise. Mailtroid and the villagers caught on quickly and Yoshiken has almost arrived at the base. Lt. Tronzoa charged the cannon.
“Yes! Goodbye my dear brother!” he said as he pressed a button and released a powerful beam towards the enterprise.
Joshi, Mailtroid, and the villagers arrived at the enterprise, but too late. The beam impacted on the enterprise and the residue from the giant facility whooshed through the air. Everyone ducked behind trees with their hands covering their heads as the residue zoomed by above them. When the explosion ended, everyone stood up to look at the enterprise. There was nothing but pieces of the facility. It was the end of Professor Mowrylean of YATE...
“Joshi? Is that you?” he asked in a whisper.
Joshi looked up at Yoshiken with tears in his eyes.
“Yes.” responded Joshi.
“Why are you crying?”
