When I say it's long, I'm not kidding... at the time I'm posting this, there are currently 32 chapters and a prologue published on the 'net, all averaging out at about four pages in Word. Posting them all here would probably flood this sub-forum, so rather, I shall leave links to two current publishing locations. If one doesn't work, try the other.
A word of warning; this story isn't for the light-hearted. It's quite long and deep, depressing at times, extremely dark, occasionally violent, and has (minimal) romance in it as well. It's really more of a serious novel-in-progress than a 'fic. As such I felt it only proper to give it a Web PG-13 rating, so you have been warned ahead of time...
