After communicating with Mailtroid, Joshi and Yoshiken made their way through Section B, of course, Yoshiken being the leader. Section B wasn’t any different than Section A, however, it smelled like the scent of hangars and it was extremely noisy. Yoshiken noticed that the corridor leading upwards was blocked by security robos. He turned around and gripped Joshi’s shoulder.
“Let’s take the long way around. Maybe it’ll be much safer.” he said. Joshi nodded and once again followed Yoshiken around the corridor.
Joshi’s radar began to beep louder and more irritating as they continued walking. Yoshiken turned around and looked at Joshi, anxious and frustrated.
“Will you shut that thing off?”
Joshi tried to find a mechanism that’ll stifle the earsplitting noise. It turned out to be a failure.
“Ugh, why couldn’t Mowry install an off button?” asked Joshi to himself.
Yoshiken began to hear security robos beginning to beep and scan for intruders. He became dreadfully desperate and took a moment to think. He then realized that as long as Joshi doesn’t equip the experiment, it will not function. He held Joshi’s arm and snatched it away swiftly, sighing with relieve for peace, quite, and regained stealth. Joshi looked at the experiment and began thinking to himself. Hoping that Yoshiken might know something about that rampant beeping, he asks him.
“Yoshiken, why do you think the radar kept constantly beeping?” asked Joshi, gazing at Yoshiken.
Yoshiken glanced at Joshi, and then looked up at the ceiling.
“Maybe it’s the experiments that I’ve stolen. They are in Section C just right about here. Perhaps I could snatch some for you, I stole them out of Professor Mowrylean’s enterprise, you know, before you came.” explained Yoshiken.
Joshi laughed at Yoshiken’s reply.
“You told me that you stole them twice.” chuckled Joshi.
“Ugh, so ... what’s your point Mr. Perfectionist?”
“Ha! What is it with you? Got short memory or something?”
“Ha! You wish, punk.”
Yoshiken and Joshi laughed together, and then realized what their mission was. Yoshiken led the way to another corridor that led the same way, unfortunately, that one was also blocked.
“Joshi, let’s go take the manual elevator. It’ll take us directly to Section C and right beside the experiment store room.” instructed Yoshiken.
They quickly ran to the manual elevator and were able to squeeze in (since Lt. Tronzoa’s massive figure could not possibly fit through a diminutive manual elevator). Joshi pulled the ropes (since he has his Power Gauntlet already equipped) and pulled the elevator up with ease. They arrived at Section C, the highest point the Section B manual elevator can reach.
“Yoshiken, I wanted to ask you something. If the base is so enormous and difficult to infiltrate, how does Lt. Tronzoa walk to Section E with ease?”
Yoshiken let out a small giggle before responding to that question.
“Duh, he doesn’t, he takes the automatic elevator all the way up to Section E. Of course, we can’t access it because it is heavily guarded.” said Yoshiken before proceeding to the experimental room.
Joshi gazed upon the surroundings of Section C. It was much more bright and attractive than the previous two sections of the base. It smelled stronger, however, as if oil were spilled all over the corridors.
“Ah, I see you noticed the smell. Your twitching nose tells it all, so don’t deny it. The ship I captured you with is located in this section. Maybe after we get rid of Lieutenant Tronzoa, I’ll take you back home to ... what was your home planet’s name?” asked Yoshiken, trying hard to remember.
“Planet Crysal.” responded Joshi, rolling his eyes.
Yoshiken looked at Joshi in disgust, as always.
“What kind of name is Planet Crysal? It sounds so sissy. Man, I would’ve run away from home if I lived in such a whacko planet.”
Joshi glared at Yoshiken, preparing to attack, but remembered that he was, indeed, essential into reaching Lt. Tronzoa’s Control Room.
“So let me get this straight, you think my planet sucks because of its name?” asked Joshi, crossing his arms.
“Eggsactly, couldn’t have put it better myself.”
“But, if you were to live there for some time, you would see how glorious it truly is.” defended Joshi.
Yoshiken was on the verge of uncontrollable laughter.
“Uh-hu, sure, I bet I would.” said Yoshiken, sarcastically.
“Fine then, see if I care about your home planet!” shouted Joshi.
“Shh, shh, shh. It’s all good man, I was only kidding.” said Yoshiken, trying to comfort Joshi.
Joshi gave an awkward look and unfolded his arms.
“Oh. Sorry, I guess I got carried away.”
Yoshiken and Joshi arrived at the door to the experimental room. Yoshiken dug his hands into the wall, grabbed the keycard, slid it through the door, and entered the room. He walked towards the center of the room and picked up something that resembled a lens, however, it looked more like a small, green screen. He picked it up and brung it to Joshi.
“This is the YATE Data Scope. With it, you can view information about any other devices, detect security threats, and pretty much scan info off of anything in sight. I’m sure this one will come in handy,” he said, positioning it on Joshi’s right eye. “It also works as Night Vision goggles, pretty cool huh?”
“Yeah!” Joshi said, amazed by the Data Scope.
Yoshiken walked towards two other massive experiments that looked similar to the YATE Water Launcher.
“This red one is one of my personal favorites, it’s the YATE Fire Launcher, and I’m all about the hotness. You can place this one on one of the sockets on your jetpack, along with the Water Launcher. Also, I think you might be interested in this one; it’s the YATE Lightning Launcher. It pretty much shoots out paralyzing lighting jolts or even bright flashing lights. You must be cautious with it however, you don’t want to shock yourself.”
Joshi held both the Fire Launcher and the Lightning Launcher and placed them on the remaining two sockets on his jetpack.
“I don’t know where I’d be without my jetpack.” said Joshi, smiling.
Yoshiken studied Joshi closely and decided to add two more light experiments onto him. It seemed he had the capacity to hold more.
“All right Joshi, the last two experiments I’m going to give you that I find extra special are these two watches. It was a great deal of difficulty to steal these, so you better appreciate! This red one is the Time Out Watch, also shortened to TOW. This green one is the Speed-up Watch, also shortened to SUW. They are similar in design, but the color indicates their abilities. Their abilities are pretty much self explanatory. Just remember, red is to stop time and green is to speed it up. A word of advice, time tinkering is an incredibly serious thing, use it wisely or it’ll cause catastrophic changes to our world.”
Joshi accepted the watches and carefully positioned them on the space remaining on his arm.
“Who do you take me for, an idiot like you? I’ll be cautious around these watches.”
Yoshiken growled at Joshi with anger.
“Ugh, fine, see if I ever do another good deed for you, punk!” yelled Yoshiken, crossing his arms and turning his back.
Mailtroid and the others grew anxious to hear news from them, but they haven’t responded for some time now.
“I hope they are all right.” thought Mailtroid to himself.
Everyone was paying close attention to the radio, except for Fifth, who was reading the instruction manual for F-15 Yoshi’s jet. He sat there, quietly, reading each and every page, until he shut the book and stood up with zeal.
“Aha, just as I have predicted, F-15 Yoshi, there was an eject button!” he shouted.
F-15 Yoshi turned around and gazed at Fifth. He noticed that he was holding his instruction manual in his arms rather than listening to what he had to say.
“It was you? You stole my instruction manual? I knew it! What were you doing snooping around my jet? I should’ve known you were a thief. Give that back to me, it’s mine, I’ve been looking all over for it!”
Fifth returned the instruction manual to F-15 Yoshi and allowed him to store it before responding to him.
“For your information, my good man, I found the book on the concrete in front of my library. It surprises me how some can be so lackadaisical and unorganized. Secondly, I have just discovered that there truly was an eject feature on your jet.”
“There was an eject button? Fine, where was it Mr. Genius?” asked F-15 Yoshi, crossing his arms.
Fifth gave an amused smile towards F-15 Yoshi before replying.
“It was beside your seat right over the lever used to position your chair.”
Everyone, except F-15 Yoshi, began to laugh vociferously. F-15 Yoshi couldn’t help but to feel awkward towards the eject button correction, but found it a bit amusing. Together they laughed, taking their minds off the battle that was now inevitable...
