I think most of you already know this part.
"A stork hurries across the dusky, predawn sky. In his bill, he supports a pair of twins. Suddenly, a shadow appears in a gap between the clouds and races towards the stork with blinding speed. "SCREEEEEECH! THE BABIES ARE MINE!" "WOW!" Snatching only one baby, the creature vanishes into the darkness from which it came. The second baby falls undetected towards teh open sea..."
CHAPTER 1: A Strange Baby
Fred, the orange Yoshi, laughed at Yoshi. "I'll bet you a melon that something interesting won't happen today!" He said. Lately, it had been so peaceful that the Yoshies were taking bets on what would happen.
"Fine by me," Yoshi answered. He was always looking for something to do.
Later that morning, Yoshi was taking a walk, pondering the odds of himself getting that melon. Suddenly, out of nowhere, something white fell on Yoshi's head, and bounced on to his saddle. He fell over. "Ouch." Yoshi mumbled, then a head popped out of the white bundle. "What's this?" Yoshi stared at teh baby, and it stared back. The baby had a red cap with an 'M' on it. A few seconds later, something else fell on Yoshi's head. "Wha-" Yoshi stood up and picked up the rolled-up paper. He opened the paper.
There were many markings and pictures on the paper that Yoshi couldn't understand. It looked like some sort of map. He recognized a circular picture with mountain-like marks on it. That looked almost exactly like Yoshi's Island.
Yoshi walked leisurely back to his friends; Lizzy the pink Yoshi, Kenzie the Light Blue, Fred the Orange, Winter the Purple, Choco the Brown, Cassie the Red, amd Brando the Dark Blue. Yoshi thought he heard something behind him, and whirled around. Nothing. The baby said, "Goo-goo." and pointed towards Yoshi's house. Yoshi shrugged, turned back around, and headed towards his friends.
"What took you so long!?" Fred yelled when Yoshi came through the bushes. "Umm... what's that?" Lizzie asked, eyeing the baby on Yoshi's back. He took the baby off and placed it in the middle of his friends. "Hey look, an 'M'!" Choco pointed at the baby's hat.
"Mawio." The baby said. "He said his name's Mario!" Winter commented. Mario gazed over the horizon longingly, as if something of his was over there. "That's probably where we should take him." Cassie said.
Yoshi ran up and placed Mario on his back. "That's where we'll go, then." He said. He walked off a few paces, then jumped up and down as goodbye to his friends. "Meet you guys over there!" He pointed to a far-away spot. "We'll do this relay-style!" Yoshi's friends all jumped in farewell. Yoshi turned around and hurried off.
