This is based on the RPG, The Last Chance, started by Johnyoshi. I decided to derive it into a story.
Prologue: The Agency
23:00 - Koopa Security Agency
Bowser and his group of Koopa Troopa agents start to shut down for the night.
Bowser: Okay, guys... All done for tonight. Be ready to go by four tomorrow morning!
Sericecior: Sir, we still need to get ready for the attack tomorrow. Give us five more minutes.
Bowser: Hurry up then! Galapleck, what's the status on the island?
Galapleck: Calm, sir. No warning or nothing.
Bowser: Good! Sericecior, you done yet?
Sericecior: You betcha! But there's one problem...
Bowser: What's that?!
Sericecior: The Yoshies will know by three hundred hours tomorrow morning.
Bowser: CRAP!!!
Lunistenony: No worries, boss. They'll be sleeping!
Bowser: Yeah, but there's always that one or two people...
Galapleck: Don't worry, sir. They've got nothing on us.
Bowser: You're right. PACK IT IN!
23:10 - Enrique's House, Yoshi's Island
Enrique and Ishathod are being an insomniacs and are up watching the Weather Channel.
Enrique: Ishathod, I'm bored.
Ishathod: So am I.
Enrique: <sighs>
Ishathod: I wonder what's on the radio...
Enrique turns the radio on.
Person on radio: This is the KSA center shutting down tonight. Action in five hundred hours tomorrow.
Enrique turns off the radio.
Enrique: What was that?
Ishathod: I don't know. What's the KSA?
Enrique: It's the Koopa Security... Oh <bleep>.
Ishathod: What?
Enrique: Bowser's up to something. I can smell it...
10:00 - Diner (section co-written by Johnyoshi)
John is walking into the diner.
John: Hey
Waitress: Hey John! The usual today?
John: Yeah
Waitress: *Writes "pancakes" on order list*
Sericecior: You know what's going to happen today?
Lunistenony: Yeah, this place is going to blow up
Galapleck: We should get out of here; someone might hear us.
John sort of eavesdrops on the conversation.
John: What are they taking about?
A plate of pancakes was served to him. He ate them, then he looked at the nearby television as the Koopas left.
Weatherman: Well, it's going to be another sunny day today...
John: Yeah, I'm pretty sure...
