I'm very sorry for this delay, but it's finally ready:

It was becoming more and more dark throughout the duration of their search.

"We have already lost three people." Yoshiken said. "We can't afford to lose anymore."

"But how the heck are we supposed to defend ourselves?" Lava asked. "Whatever this is keeps taking us away."

"Well, we obviously can't outsmart it, because it took Enrique who was the smartest one in this group." Jay said. "So perhaps we need to rely on brute force."

"We never tried that yet." Eloeem said. "Everyone should have their weapons out."

The entire group held out their weapons, minus Leoshi who put the book away. Now that it's powers where gone, it was a meaningless thing.

"We'll be ready now." Teo said. "I think I also have a hunch about where to search."

"Really, and where's that?' Yoshee asked.

"Think about it. Who are the prime suspects?" Teo asked.

<Moshi is!> Champ exclaimed.

"And..." Teo began.

<It seems like Merier is also a suspect.> Charon said.

Eloeem snapped his fingers. "Of course. We've been thinking of this the wrong way. We have to go to his room."

"Right. Ever since I came here I figured that guy has something to hide." Yoshifrog said.

Yoshiko nodded as he hid in the shadows. "Then I'm not the only one thinking that. Merier is up to something!"

He ran off in the opposite direction. "I have to beat them there and make sure it's safe. We don't need any more vanishings."

He continued ti run down the corridor, which by now was silent again. It wasn't until long before he reached a single wooden door. It looked like it would have been any common door, but Yoshiko knew it was Merier's room. He held out his own sword, and gave a swing.

The door slashed to pieces and fell down inside of his room.

"Oh, Merier's going to kill me." Yoshiko said. Still holding the blade, he proceeded into the room.

The interior was quite fancy in comparison to the resort itself. Two of the walls, the farthest one and the left one where covered in old books. To the right, a table sat nearby a huge bed with white sheets. A single portrait of three yoshis hung over the bed, and a single old book marked "Diary" rest on the nearby table. From above, a huge chandelier hung in the room like a ghost reminder of this house's strange occurrences.

Yoshiko walked further into the room, drawing his attention to the portrait. In the middle of the picture was a female Yoshi, and a happy looking one. Blonde hair streamed from her head and all the way down to her waist. To the right of her was a light cyan Yoshi. He was wearing a black hat that covered both of his eyes because of the way it was tilted, but a smile was visible on his face. Finally, to the left side of the picture was Merier, with a cheerful and smiling face.

It looked like a happy group, as far as the painting could show.

Yoshiko rubbed his head. "...who in the world is Merier with in that picture?"

Yoshiko walked away from the painting and reached the diary that sat down on the table by the bed. He slowly reached for the book and opened it up.

"Merier's log... day one..." Yoshiko read aloud.

"I have arrived here at last. Miss Virtuous is very happy with our new home. I can tell she will find this place very nice as opposed to the other world we came from. Her brother also seems happy, but as always, Master Ceive is mysterious about it. Nonetheless, this day seems like an appropriate one to begin a new life here. I can tell for certain that life is going to be an adventure. I have never seen so proud to be Miss. Virtuous's servant."

Yoshiko flipped the pages of the book further into the text. As he did, he paid attention to the clock on the wall. "8:44." He looked back to the pages and sighed.

"Master Ceive has really done it now. I can't believe what happened. Nobody else believes it either, but I saw the deed with my own eyes. I guarantee that he will pay for this... I never thought it would come to this, but I am afraid that enough is enough. Tonight, I am going to destroy Master Ceive! He will pay for what he did!"

Yoshiko gasped. "...Merier... did he..."

But before he could read more, the sound of the clock tolling scared him. He looked up and saw that time was running out.

"Oh no, not again!" he shouted. He ran toward the bookshelf and hid behind it.

Just a few feet away from the room was the group.

"I can't believe what's been going on." Yoshee said.

From behind them came the sound of something screeching. The group looked back and gasped.

A series of dark, ghostly hands where rising from the floor behind them.

"ZOMBIES!" Lava shouted.

"No, it's ghosts!" Yoshee shouted.

The hands suddenly reached up and got a hold of Yoshee. She gasped and fell down. Her two chao rushed to her aid, only caught by these menacing hands.

"Yoshee!" Yoshifrog shouted. She let out her tongue and reached toward Yoshee. Her tongue latched onto Yoshee's hand.

However, with a sudden jerk of the hands, Yoshifrog shouted and was flung into them, only to be captured.

The others only watched in paralyzed fear.

"ZOMBIES!" Lava shouted again.

In a last-ditch thought, Yoshee reached into her pocket and revealed one her tennis balls. She shouted and chucked it into the series of hands.

It instantly exploded. Yoshee was thrown back, released the from the group of hands. She flew until she struck the wall.

However, it didn't seem like Yoshifrog or the two chao had suck luck. The hands suddenly retreated back into the floor, pulling them down without even giving them enough time to scream.

Yoshee gave a mortified expression. "...they sacrificed themselves... for me." She placed both of her hands over her eyes, still sitting on the floor.

The rest of the group was dead silent. They where too mesmerized to talk.

Alright, I got another one ready at last, sorry for the delay:

Yoshiken sheathed his sword. "I think I am starting to make sense out of all of this."

"That's good." Yapi said. "How?"

"Think about it. The clock gives a chime right before someone is kidnapped. That means that at least one of us has been taken by whatever is stalking us by the quarter of an hour." Yoshiken said.

"Moshi is our only exception, because we don't know if she is either responsible or kidnapped, or where the heck she is." Teo said. "But other then that, people seem to be kidnapped by the order of their strength."

"I doubt it." Yoshee said.

"Yes, think carefully." Jay said. "They took Yoshifrog, Enrique, John... and the chao. They may all have been smart, and some of them even brilliant, but weak in attack power. It took no time at all."

"Well in that case, I bet I'll be the last one!" Lava said, with a sigh of relief.

"If that is true, then why haven't they taken me yet?" Leoshi asked.

"...true, I suppose the theory is sort of flawed." Yoshiken said.

Yoshee gave a sigh. "You sounded like Enrique there for a moment."

"We're not quitting. We'll find them all, solve this mystery, and get out." Yoshiken said.

Jay, being the tallest in the group, looked toward the rest.

Leo, Yoshee, Lava, Yapi, Eloeem, Yoshiken, Teo, LD, and himself where all that remained. He quickly glanced at a clock.

"It's almost 9." Jay said. "Everyone need to draw their weapons. The stronger of us should block the weaker."

Teo stood in-front of them all, prepared to defend the group.

Yin drew her knives as LD reached for his skateboard. Eloeem drew both swords, and Yapi prepared for an elemental attack.

Suddenly, it began. The clock began to chime.

"It's started!" Yoshiken shouted. "Everyone, it's time!"

Even Yoshiko, who was watching in the shadows, drew his own blade. "I'll be ready to attack at the first sign of danger..."

There was the sudden sound of wood making loud, creaking noises. Everyone in the room looked up.

"...where is that coming from?" Eloeem asked.

It was getting louder and louder now. Yoshee, who was still stunned from the last kidnapping, held her last remaining tennis ball explosive in her still-shaking hands.

Yoshiken quickly looked down at the floor. He gasped, looking terrified.

"Guys, it's the floor!!" he shouted.

Everyone looked down and screamed. The wooden floor was cracking at their feet. It looked as though it would give way any second.

"Nobody move." Jay said. "...stay perfectly still..."

There was a forbidding silence, as if the house was now challenging them. It where as if the building itself was just waiting for them to slip up...

Though eventually it seemed like the floor was getting impatient. At last, there was the sound of an explosion. Wood separated, shatter, and gave way to their feet.

Luckily, Yin, LD, Eloeem, Lava, and Yoshee all managed to rush away, and Teo, Yoshiken, Yapi, and Jay managed to take flight.

It was Leo who wasn't about to run. No longer having the choice, he shouted as he plunged into the dark abyss along with the broken floor that lay under the room.

Yapi, and Teo instantly took flight, racing in after him. Both of them plunged into the darkness.

There was a sudden surge, as a huge, dark, skeletal hand rose from the darkness. Yapi swished and avoided the hand, but Teo was not fast enough. The dark, cold hand wrapped it's evil hands around Teo's dragon body, encasing him in bone.

The dragon growled in a panicked way, trying to shake himself free of it's grasp. All of the while, the remaining of the group watched from above, scared to near death of what was going on.

Yoshiko had enough right about then. He rushed ahead with his blade, screaming as he ran. he passed by the stunned group and lept over the side and into the hole itself. As he fell, he let his blade swing in the air. It slashed right through the skeletal hand. It shattered, releasing Teo from it's grip. Yoshiko continued to fall, but was caught by Yapi.

But as the hand exploded, there was a sudden mini-earthquake. Yin, who was unprepared, lost her balance and gave a scream as she let herself fall directly into the dark abyss.

"Yin!" Yapi shouted as she watched her fly past. because she already held Yoshiko, and that Teo was injured, they could do nothing. Yin continued to fall in the abyss, screaming as her voice slowly faded into the darkness.

Yoshiken decided to intervene at that moment. Placing his katana away, he rushed toward the hole with a battle cry before diving down into the darkness.

Further and further he flew, faster and faster, but Yin was still fading away. he wasn't gaining on her, he was loosing her, and very fast.

BANG!

Yoshiken hit the floor below with a sudden crash. he gave a yelp by the surprise and abruptness of the fall.

He slowly got back up and looked up. By the way it looked, he had only fallen one story, but by the fall itself, he felt like he had fallen from a plane.

Yin and Leo where gone, leaving no trace behind.

Yoshiken sighed, realizing that it was a lost cause, before flying back up.

Teo and Yapi had flown back through the hole and returned. Yoshiken followed soon after.

"What happened?" Yoshee asked.

"We lost them." Yoshiken said, looking down.

"Poor Yin." Yapi said. "If she was standing just a few feet away, she wouldn't have fallen."

"We will have to worry about this later." Jay said. "If we are ever going to save anyone, we'll have to get some clues."

"I found some a little bit ago." Yoshiko said. "I'll explain...
