I decided I may as well make an attempt at a fanfic. It's going to be based off of my own Yoshi, so enjoy: This awesome title pic was done by Yapi, it's good, isn't it? ;D ----------------------------------------------- "Driver, stop here." Leoshi said. The bus slowly came to a halt. "Ah, you must be a new student here." the bus driver said. "You may call me that." Leoshi said. He reached for his luggage, then proceeded down the isle way. As he did, he reached into his pocket, took out some change, and placed in in the driver's hands without a word. "Thank you, sir. I hope you enjoy your time here." the driver said. Leoshi didn't respond at all, but merely continued to walk, as if he heard nothing. He heard the doors shut behind him. Leoshi did bother to turn around to watch the bus vanish over the horizon. So here he was. A brand new city, a new start. The star-lit skies where bright that particular evening. The celestial crescent moon hovered over the metropolis, as if it where watching it. Leoshi looked back around the street. Buildings, skyscrapers... all of which he expected to see in a city. It was a chilly night as well. The wind whipped against him. He sighed and positioned his hood over his head. With that, he slowly began to walk down the street way. Leoshi was still a teenager, about 15 at the time. Now, on this night, he would begin his sophomore year in school. Unlike the others, this year would be different. "Mother and Father. Oh, what a choice they made for this year.He came from a more poorer town far away. Leoshi's academic skills where said to be unmatched there, and for that, others made fun of him. Leoshi was certainly the quiet type. He would never speak to people unless he had to, and sometimes even then he would not. For that reason, it was that he was a lonely Yoshi. Leoshi ended up becoming so smart, he was given a scholarship to this very school. Since the education is better in this city then from his own hometown, his parents sent him to this boarding school instead. (Half Hour Later) Leoshi finally reached his destination. It must have been 20 stories tall at least, perhaps more. On the top was a large clock tower, giving him the time of 1:20 in the morning. On the front of the building where large letters that had been inscribed on the walls. "Yoshi City High" he thought to himself as he read the words. "I have found it. ..hopefully, this will allow me a fresh start."As he walked toward the building, he had no idea of the dark figure which had been watching him... ------------------------------------------ There's part 1. If anyone wants to be in this fic, or to be involved or anything, let me know.

Thanks! I'm not sure when I'll use you, Enrique, but I will. Here's my second part:
---------------------------
The sound of the bell was much louder then he expected. He shot directly out of his bed.
This dormitory was empty, aside from him. He was glad he didn't have to share one with the other boarders.
"Wha..." he asked, still half asleep. He looked at clock on the side of his bed.
"AH!" he shouted. The time read 7:00. School had begun a half hour ago.
"And on my first day!" he thought. He reached his gray sweatshirt and pulled his backpack from the closet. He ran of the dorm as fast as he could.
--------------------------------
Leoshi burst through the classroom door. At that instant, everything stopped. Every last student was starring right at him. The teacher just gave him a glare.
"And you are?" the teacher asked.
"...Leoshi." Leoshi said simply.
"You are late for class, Leoshi." the teacher said. She pointed to an empty desk.
Leoshi sat down with a red face. The other students where laughing to themselves.
"Now, before we where so rudely interupted..." the teacher gave another angry glare at Leoshi. "...I have put a problem on the board."
Leoshi looked up and saw the math equation.
"Aw, c'mon!" a student yelled. "We're only sophomores, we're not supposed to be doing calculus yet!"
"Now, now..." the teacher said. "This isn't that hard, think students. What do you-"
Leoshi stood up from his seat. "65 times X plus the square root of ZY."
The teacher was silent. "...my, that's correct."
"Nerd!" someone else shouted. The class erupted in laugher.
"Now, now, students!" the teacher said. "But still, Leoshi. You come late, now you interrupt? You're on thin ice!"
Leoshi sank into his seat sheepishly.
----------------------------------------
The next class wasn't much better.
"So, thus, there are five main vowels, and in some instances, Y applies." the English teacher said.
"This is so easy. I can't believe they would teach such simple things." Leoshi thought.
"Leoshi. Perhaps I am boring you?" the teacher asked.
Leoshi shook his head.
"Then perhaps you can tell us the definition of the word: Inanity."
"Inanity: Pertaining to foolishness, or being stupid." he said. "That was fitting." he thought.
"You should have opened you dictionary for the answer." the teacher said.
"I already know what it meant." Leoshi said.
"Don't talk back." the teacher said.
Leoshi growled. "What's with all of these teachers? They are not too nice or bright..."
-----------------------------------------
Leoshi was relieved to hear the lunch bell ring. He walked over to the lunchroom and saw all of the yoshies enjoying their free period.
"Maybe the students will be nicer in here then in class." he thought.
"Hey, look! It's that geek!" one of the other Yoshies shouted. The room burst into laughter.
Leoshi sighed. "I should have known."
He approached the line to the food.
"I hope the food is good here." he thought.
Leoshi tapped the one in the line in front of him.
"Excuse me, do you know what they're serving?" Leoshi asked. "See for yourself, dude!" he responded. With that, Leoshi saw the incoming pizza slice headed for him. Leoshi ducked as watched it pass over his head and strike someone else.
The room filled up with laughter.
"Oh, that's your game?" the one who got hit asked. He look his tray and threw in into the crowd. It missed Leoshi and struck some other student.
"FOOD FIGHT!!" Someone shouted.
On that statement, food began to fly everywhere. Leoshi slowly backed away from the battle. As he did, he suddenly felt something hit his back.
It was a cupcake, which had just made a big mark on his shirt.
Leoshi growled, taking the cupcake and holding it out to the crowd.
"Okay, who threw this?" He asked.
"STOP!!" a more adult voice shouted.
The fight came to an abrupt halt. The principal has just walked into the fight. leoshi watched as the principal pointed to Leoshi.
"You there! In my office!" He shouted.
Leoshi realized he was holding the cupcake toward the crowd.
"Oh, you've got to be kidding!" He thought...

That was rude of those teachers to get mad when you answer when they want an answer , and then they assume you're an idiot and SHOULD look up words. And as for the food fight, I could've ended it quickly. ;D But then again, nobody in the room would be alive. Or solid for that matter.

Okay, here's my next part:
--------------------------------
Leoshi ended up with a detention. On his first day.
School ended, and the students where dismissed. All, that is, accept for Leoshi. He was left in the principal's office.
After an hours worth of detention, he was let go.
"And if you ever try to pull a stunt like that, I'll have you suspended! Am I clear?" the principal asked.
Leoshi nodded in shame.
"Now get out of my sight!" the principal shouted, pointing to the door.
Leoshi walked through the doorway, very eager to leave.
The hallways were now empty now that the classes has all been dismissed.
Leoshi sighed. "I already hate this place. I want to leave."
There was the sound of paper being crunched in the hallways.
Leoshi looked up and saw a shadow quickly race by. It was so fast that he was unable to see it.
"Hmmm..." he said. "I wonder who that was?"
There was another sound. It was a bang.
Leoshi quickly turned around. Again, he saw nothing more then a shadow.
Leoshi was nervous now. Something was watching him.
"I can see you." Leoshi said aloud. "Show yourself!"
The noises stopped.
"That guy didn' even talk to me?" Leoshi thought. "Why does everyone at this school hate me?"
"Hey, dude!" another voice shouted.
Leoshi turned around. He saw another Yoshi. A blue one, with a black and white hat.
"Not again!" he thought. "Why can't they just leave me alone?"
The yoshi was running toward him.
Leoshi took the only course of action he could think of: to run.
"Hey, wait! I just want to talk!" the yoshi said, running after him.
"Don't lie, leave me alone!" Leoshi shouted to him as he ran.
Leoshi quickly turned a corner in the hallway. He turned to look behind him and saw the yoshi was still pursuing.
Leoshi sped up even faster then before. He looked to his right and came to an abrupt stop. There was an elevator.
Leoshi ran up to the door and began to beat on the button. The doors slid open and he reached inside.
"Hey wait! I won't hurt you, I just-"
The rest of the Yoshi's message was cut off as the doors slammed shut.
Leoshi gave a sigh of relief. The elevator began to shift up-wards.
---------------------------
It came to a stop. Leoshi gladly walked outside.
"I went all the way to the roof. I should be left in peace up here." he thought.
Leoshi walked away from the door and looked up into the sky. He walked to the edge and peered over the rail.
He quickly looked away after seeing it. The drop from this building was scary just to look at.
He dropped his backpack on the ground and sat beside it.
He was suddenly interrupted. He saw the same shadow pass by overhead.
"WHOA!" he shouted in surprise. Unable to see what it was, he rushed to see where it went.
As he tried to catch up, he noticed the shadow dropped something on the ground. After that, it jumped back up and vanished in the air.
Leoshi raised an eyebrow. "This town's full of crazy people. Now they are jumping off rooftops? What's next?"
But his attention was drawn to the item that the shadow left behind. He walked up to it.
"What's this?" he asked. With a bit of caution, he lifted the it.
"It's a book? An old book..." he thought. He opened the first page. "I can't read the writing. It's in some strange language I've never seen before."
Just then, the elevator doors opened again.
Leoshi quickly grabbed the book and hid behind a pole.
It was the same Yoshi again.
"Where'd he go?" he asked. "Hello?"
Leoshi kept his eyes focused on the Yoshi.
Suddenly, the doors opened again. Three more yoshies, in cover-coats and sunglasses raced out of the elevator and grabbed the yoshi.
Leoshi gasped. "What now?"
"Okay, kid. Where is the book?" one of them asked.
"I.. don't know what you're talking about!" the yoshi shouted back.
"We traced the shadow to this roof and found you. Where's the book, kid?!"
"First of all, my name's not "Kid!" It's Enrique! And second, I have no idea what you're talking about! So let me go before I call the cops!"
Leoshi knew the book they where after was in his hands. For some reason, though, he felt that this book would not be safe with them. He didn't understand it, but he knew it would be better off in good hands.
"Looks like we're just gonna have to take a hostage!" one of the yoshies said.
Leoshi suddenly realized the situation. Holding the book in his hands, he ran into the open. "I have it!"

Thanks, here's part 4:
------------------------------------
"So, you're the one with the book?" one of the over-coated Yoshies asked.
Leoshi said nothing. His face was that of anger. He clutched the book firmly in his hand.
"Now be a good little boy and hand over the book."
"Tell me what you want with it. Why is it so important?" Leoshi said.
"That book contains everything. You must really understand the secrets inscribed in the pages, the very text screaming the answers to so many mysteries."
As they went on Leoshi quickly switched the book with a textbook from his backpack.
"What language is it?" Leoshi asked.
"Filled with questions, I see. I don't have time for them. Just hand over the book and this kid here won't be taken!"
"My name is Enrique!" Enrique shouted.
"Have it your way." Leoshi said. He took the textbook and threw it an one of them. He caught the book and began to walk away.
Enrique was released. He began to walk to wards Leoshi, who began to walk back-wards.
"Thanks." Enrique said.
Leoshi didn't say anything, but by his expression, it looked like he wanted to run again.
"WHAT?!" one of the yoshies shouted, realized they held a textbook.
Leoshi took off running. He tried to reach the elevator doors. Before he could make it, a rough hand grabbed his shoulder. Leoshi was thrust down onto the ground.
"Now give us the book! That's the last time I'll ask!"
"No..." Leoshi said. "I won't let you keep it. I will not!"
He was suddenly kicked. He shouted and spun on the ground until he hit a wall.
"You could have done better then that." the yoshi said angrily. "Now-"
Suddenly, something jumped in and knocked the three of them down.
"Enrique?" Leoshi asked, looking back up at him.
"We're even now." Enrique responded.
"Mind your own business, kid!" they shouted back.
"MY NAME IS ENRIQUE!!"
"That's it." Leoshi said. He pushed a button on the elevator doors.
"Where do you think you're going?" one of them asked. "I'm not going anywhere." Leoshi said. "You are."
"What?" one of them asked.
The elevator doors opened up.
"Why you-" they all charged him at once.
"Going down." Leoshi thought. He ducked and watched them all fly overhead and into the elevator. They all collapsed within it. The doors shut before they could get out, and began an decent to the first floor.
Enrique sighed. "That... was crazy. I knew staying after school was a dumb idea."
Leoshi didn't respond. He ran and picked up his backpack.
"Where are you going?" Enrique asked.
Leoshi didn't say anything. He grabbed ahold of the railings and climbed over the side.
"Are you mad!?" Enrique shouted back at him.
Leoshi was climbing down the side without saying a word.
"Those goons will come back up here for the book. This is my chance to escape." he thought.
"Get back over here, you'll fall!" Enrique shouted. He looked over the side of the railing.
The elevator doors suddenly opened again.
"GET THAT KID!!" one of he yoshies shouted. They all charged at him.
"MY-NAME-IS-ENRIQUE!!!" he screamed. He suddenly realized they where holding something in their hands. It looked like...
"Ah! Wait for me!!" Enrique shouted. He climbed over the rail and began to climb down the walls.
"Take him out, now!!" on of them shouted from the roof.
There was the sudden sound on an explosion. They looked up and saw light flashing.
"What are they doing?" Enrique asked.
"In here." Leoshi shouted. He made it to an open window. He jumped through the window. Enrique quickly followed through the window.
The entire building shook for a few more seconds.
"...who where those thugs?" Enrique asked. Leoshi, of course, didn't respond. Instead, he looked at the book he had just gotten.
"You still have that?" Enrique asked.
Leoshi nodded.
"Come on." Enrique said. "I have to take you to someone."
"What?" Leoshi asked.
"Yeah, a friend of mine. She aught to know."

There you go.

Alright, here's my next chapter:
----------------------------------------
Leoshi felt rather uncomfortable as Enrique began to pull him along the hallways and out the door.
"Who is this person?" Leoshi asked.
"Oh, she's a good friend of mine." Enrique said. "I'm sure you'll like her."
"Where is she?" Leoshi asked.
"She's outside, out at the tennis court." Enrique said as they walked outside the doors.
The campus of the school apparently wasn't filled with too many people either. It seemed like right after class, they'd go into the city and enjoy themselves.
Enrique stopped at the tennis court entrance. From there, they could see a student playing against a coach.
"Hey, Yoshee!!" Enrique called out. "Over here!
The student, apparently names Yoshee, turned her head just in time to loose her concentration. The tennis ball whizzed on by and struck the fence.
"Game, set and Match." the coach said.
Yoshee looked rather irritated. She gave an angry look to Enrique. "Thanks allot!"
"Uh... sorry?" Enrique said quite sheepishly.
He led Leoshi onto the court.
"Hey, coach! I'm calling it a day!" Yoshee called out.
The coach gave a wave and then walked away.
"So, what's up?" She asked.
"Oh, first of all, I would like you to meet... uh... what's-his-face?"
"Leoshi." Leoshi said, realizing he had never said his name yet.
"Oh, you're that new kid." Yoshee said. "That kid who's the new target for those jerks from the senior class."
Leoshi looked down. "I'm a target?" he thought.
"Aw, lighten up!" she said. "Anyway, I'm Yoshee, nice to meet you?" With that, she held a friendly handshake out.
Leoshi at first didn't respond, but he slowly reached and gave a weak shake back.
"He's kind of timid." Enrique said.
"No prob. Most of the new kids are." she said. "So, is that what you wanted?"
"No. We just got attacked by some dudes!" Enrique said.
"Attacked? By who, seniors?" Yoshee asked.
"No! I'm talking about these big, hulking matrix-style goons who wanted to steal a book from Leoshi!" Enrique said.
Yoshee raised an eyebrow, the laughed quietly under her breath.
"I'm being serious!" Enrique shouted. "Tell her, Leo!"
Leoshi, of course, said nothing, but he did nod his head.
"Oh.. okay, sorry. What kind of book was it?" She asked out of curiosity.
Leoshi held out the old book that he found.
"Oh, this?" She asked. She held the book and flipped through the pages. "I can't read this thing. What is this, hieroglyphics or something?"
"That's what we don't know." Leoshi said quietly.
Yoshee continued to look at the book.
"So, what do you think we should do?" Enrique asked.
"It's obvious that this book, even if it doesn't hold any mysteries, could be quite valuable." he thought.
"I got it!" Enrique said. "We could go back to my dorm tonight and check it out on the web."
"Uh... okay. Sounds good." Yoshee said. "I'll be there at six."
"Got it. See ya!" Enrique said. With that, the other two yoshies left, leaving Leoshi standing alone.
"This book." He thought. Recollecting the day's events, starting from the detention, then the shadow that dropped it, then the thugs who where after the book... "What have we gotten ourselves into?"
---------------------------
There you are. I'll try to think of more as soon as I can.
