I'm nothing if not friendly, touchy, and downright weird.
I can breathe fire, hit someone with ice power, emit lightning, and fire steady lasers from my eyes. I also hold a Keyblade that can fire light.

The clock tower rang 6. The sun was setting over the city skylines.

But now, the students would come back on campus grounds to enjoy dinner. However, Leoshi knew that the book was far too important to ignore.

He waited for the students to loose their interest before running back toward the dormitories. He rushed through them until he came to Enrique's. He shyly gave a quiet tap on the door and waited.

The door opened, revealing Enrique on the other side.

"Hey, come in!" he said.

Leoshi nodded and proceeded into the dorm room.

"Oh, hello." Yoshee said as he entered.

"Did you bring the book?" Enrique asked.

"Yeah... here." Leoshi said. He held out the book and placed it on a table.

"Okay... I'll scan this." Enrique said. He held a camera in his hands and snapped a photo.

"...Alright, let me see that thing again." Yoshee said. She took the book into her hands and flipped through the pages.

"Wow, this thing's very old."

"This book." Leoshi thought. "If I could just find out these what these symbols mean, I might be able to decipher this..."

"Hey, dude!" Enrique said. Leoshi snapped out of his trance.

"C'mon, grab a seat and help me find this!" he said, sitting at a computer.

For the next hour, they searched through the Internet and 10 other books to find out what it meant.

"This is going to drive me nuts!" Yoshee said. "How are we supposed to find out what this is?"

"I have another idea." Enrique said. "How about we go around the city and ask people if they know about it."

"Bad idea." Leoshi said. The other two looked to him.

"Why's that?" Enrique asked.

"We where attacked by people trying to get the book. Whom else may want it?" Leoshi asked.

"Good point." Yoshee said. "It's risky... but at the same time, we have no other leads."

"I say we do it." Enrique said.

"...very well." Leoshi said. "Will you allow me to get a larger coat?"

"Yeah, sure. Why not?" Enrique asked.

Leoshi was silent. Feeling to awkward to respond, he left the room without speech.

Leoshi walked down the hallways and toward his door. He reached for his key and turned the lock, only to discover it was already open.

"How could I have forgotten to lock this door?" he thought.

Leoshi turned the handle and gasped.

This room was completely trashed. Papers and textbooks laid scattered about, the window was left with a crack in it. The mattress was overturned. The closet doors opened wide, all sorts of items scattered about.

"What the..." he asked. "Who did this..."

The suspense is driving me nuts! You could put me in it if you want, my character has been studying old symbols and languages for a very long time so that may help with the gap in the story.

"My dorm..." Leoshi repeated.

"Hey!" Enrique and Yoshee called out, running down the corridors. However, they both came to a stop as they looked into his dorm room.

"Whoa!!" Enrique shouted as he saw it.

"...Leoshi, you sure are messy." Yoshee said.

"Somebody did this." Leoshi said.

"I bet it was those jerks that where bullying him before." Enrique said.

"We aught to tell the teachers about this. This is so low, even for them." Yoshee said.

"It wasn't them." Leoshi thought. "It was whoever is trying to get this book. I just know it."

"Listen." Leoshi said. The other two looked toward him. "We must find out whoever did this."

"Hm? I think it was those jerks!" Enrique said again.

"We can't jump to conclusions." Leoshi said. "Whoever did this will pay." he thought.

The clock tower struck 8 pm.

"Alright, we have two hours before curfew." Yoshee said. "Let's split up. I'll search the dorms."

"And I'll look around the campus."

"I suppose I shall investigate the city." Leoshi said.

They all nodded, and ran off in their own separate directions.

Enrique walked back on campus. It was a cold night, so the students where all in the lounges of the school. He walked inside the building and searched the room.

It was mostly filled with seniors and juniors.

"Hey!" he called out. The group silenced and looked at him.

"Yeah, what it is?" one of them asked impatiently.

"I won't waste your time, just tell me which one of you trashed my friend's room."

There was more silence.

However, both the volume and the subject diverted as another student walked in. This one looked younger, and more timid.

"Hey, it's that new freshmen kid!!" one of the seniors shouted. "Get him!"

Enrique watched about half of the students in the room get up from their seats and rush toward the freshman, who took off running. The other half did nothing but remained seated.

"...Those jerks got to have done it, who else is so mean?" Enrique thought. He sighed, then ran in their direction. As he turned a corner, he noticed he was too late. The last of the seniors where walking away through a set of doors. Nearby, a loud banging could be heard. A locker door was shaking rapidly.

"Hey, you okay?" Enrique asked.

"Please, get me out!!" a voice shouted back.

"They locked it with a padlock, I don't know the combination." Enrique said, holding the lock.

The banging continued to echo in the halls. He was amazed no one else cared about it.

"Alright. Brace yourself." Enrique said.

The banging stopped suddenly. "..w-what are you doing?"

Enrique took a few steps back, then charged at the locker. It burst open, and the freshman Yoshi fell out.

"Hey. Are you hurt?" Enrique asked.

The freshman looked back wordlessly. His face and body was covered in bruises and cuts.

"I'd better get you to the nurse's. What's your name?"

"...John." the freshman replied.

Yoshee began to look through the dorm rooms. One by one, she ran to the doors and knocked on them. Eventually, her path lead her to to a dorm that belonged to another friend of hers.

The door creaked open.

"Yoshee? What are you doing here?" the Yoshi asked.

"Hey, Lava." Yoshee said back. "I should ask the same thing. It's eight and your alone in your dorm?"

"I'm studying for the exam tomorrow. That English teacher of mine doesn't cut any slack." Lava responded.

"Do you have time?" Yoshee asked. "Someone trashed another friend's room, and I'm trying to find out."

"Uh, sure." Lava responded. "I mean, how far could this culprit have gotten?"

Unknown to them both, a shadow passed by in the hallway. It had seen everything.
