Yep, the prologue. What more need to be said? It's about how Toshigau got Link's cap. Read it. O: -----------------------------------------------------------------------
Prologue
What I'm about to tell you is a sacred story, a story of a now famous hero's heart-grinding past. This story starts out when he is very young. His mother is tucking him, his brothers, and sister into their large bed, "Tell us the story about the Hero of Time mommy! I love that story above all others," Toshi squealed. "Aw man c'mon bro! We've heard all of them dozens of times over!" Boshi grunted. That led all of them in an argument about which story their mother should tell them, the sister, Chishi, agreeing with her big brother of course and being backed up by Trenshi, "We want Hyrule!" The other three: Yoshi, Donshi, and Boshi joined together and yelled in the others' faces, "We want a different story!" They continued on like this for a while. Their mother smiled calmly, "Calm down children, I'll tell you something you'll all like." The children got back under the covers as they listened to their mother's story. After she had finished she had made sure everyone was nice and warm, "Goodnight my little ones." She turned the light out and left the door cracked. Toshi sat up, "See it was new and it was a story of the Hero of Time," he smirked, teasing his brother. "Bah! It was a good story I suppose. But you don't actually believe in that do you?" Toshi paused a bit awkward but then snorted, "Yes! Yes I do. I believe every word of it." Trenshi sat up, "Ain't that roit? Well, I got news for you brah, I believe it too." Boshi rolled his eyes and brought a glare upon his two siblings, seeing he was obviously being overcome by his strongest brother no less his other, oldest and he surrendered plopping back down on the bed, "Pfft, whatever." Trenshi scoffed, " 'Ey! Don't gimm-" Chishi cut him off, "I have an idea that'll solve everything! Why don't we, mmm, GO TO BED!?" Trenshi flung back down on his pillow and sighed, "Fine. But just 'cause ya ain't got nothin' ta look up ta doesn't mean ya gotta ruin it for others, brah." Boshi, ignoring that comment, fell silently to sleep. Toshi folded his arms behind his head and looked up at the sky through their rooftop window, "All I have is dreams of Hyrule. I wonder if Boshi's right. I wonder if it's all a fraud." He sighed with a gloom face and got out of bed, careful not to wake his siblings, he walked downstairs and tugged on his mother's dress, "Mommy, is it true? The kingdom of Hyrule? The Hero of Time? The evil man called Ganondorf? Any of it?" His mother put down the book she was reading and picked up her son, "Now, now, it's late honey, you should be in bed." He looked up at her from her lap and sighed, "But mommy...I want to know...the truth." His mother smiled calmly and reached over for a small chest on a shelf and blew the dust that had gathered on it away. "My little Toshi, I need you to promise to keep this a secret if I show you." Toshi's eyes gleamed as he looked up at his mother with curiosity, "Yes, Mommy. I promise." She took out a key and unlocked the chest as a few rays of light escaped it. "Wh-what is it?" She took out the necklace and put it in his hands. "What do you feel?" Toshi beamed when he opened his hands as he saw a golden shard hooked onto a silver chain. He froze as a bright light shone from his hands. He opened his eyes to see a vast field with lush trees and grass as well as a cool yet refreshing breeze blow across his face. What surrounded were clear skies and mountains surrounding the region as far as the eye could see. Then he saw it, a large magnificent castle rising above a forest. "It's...Hyrule." The shard glowed once more and he was back on his mothers lap blinking and panicked. "Wh-What? I fell asleep?! It was a dream AGAIN!?" His mother put her finger on his lips, "No, it was not a dream. It was Hyrule Kingdom. There as it was, the vast fields and forest, the skies, the castle. It was true. It was there." Toshi's eyes beamed and he smiled widely clinging to his mother, "I knew it mommy, I knew it was real." His mother smiled and hugged him, "Yes, Toshigau, it is indeed very real."

Chapter 1
Years later, Toshigau and Trenshi were running towards Peach's castle after receiving a letter about Professor E. Gadd's new portable time machine device. "I wonder what it looks like!" Trenshi, panting, replied, "Well, Professah said it was some so't of bracelet! We'll jus' 'afta find out eh, brah?" Toshi laughed, "Ye, I suppose! Think Ludwig might be there?" Trenshi, stumbling now, shrugged, "Ah, dunno! I'm pretty shah he is though! I gotta take a break Ah'll catch up with ya latah!" Toshi waved, running ahead, "Alright, Trenshi! See ya!" After about ten minutes he finally got to the castle gate, "Open up it's me, Toshi!" A voice shouted from a window, "Hey Toshi! Vat are you doink here?" Toshi looked up as the gate opened to see Ludwig smiling, "Your kidding! Like, I'd pass up a chance like this!" Ludwig laughed, "Ah, curious are vee? Likevoise, indeed. Vaut neither of us can't see the devise just yet I'm afraid!" Toshi flung his head back and grunted then returned his gaze to Ludwig, "Why not!?" Ludwig shrugged, "I don't quite know myself. Professor E. Gadt told me he needed more time to finish the product." Toshi snorted and walked in the castle, "Just my luck. I run all the way here and for what!?" Ludwig shook his head and sighed continuing to gaze out the window, now in deep thought. Toshi walked into the room were the Professor was tinkering with the bracelet and looked up as Toshi walked into the room. "Ah, good morning, Toshigau!" Toshi pulled a chair and sat across from where he was working on the machine. "So what's the problem?" The Professor gazed up from his glasses and continued to work, "Ah, my boy, it seems as though I overlooked a bug in this confounded contraption! Say, didn't your brother come with you? I could sure use the help." Toshi sighed about to speak but Trenshi just walked into the door, "G'day, Proffesah! And 'ow's the Time Watch comin'?" He sighed and scratched his head, "I don't know. There's a bug in it and I can't seem to fix it." Trenshi snapped on his trademark goggles and tinkered around with it, "A'roit! I found tha problem, 'tis simple! All ya gotta do is reconnect this hea and tighten up tha chip!" Professor E. Gadd hooted with delight, "I see! I see! Ludwig! Toshi! The device is ready!" Toshi got up and leaned over gazing at it with interest, "It looks amazing!" Trenshi paused, "Ah, Brutha...ya might not wanna get t-" Cut off from finishing his sentence, Ludwig burst in, knocking Toshi clear across the room. "Vat beautiful craftmanship! Zees is truly a great scientific step forward!" Toshi got up rubbing his head, "Ow...ah, so how does it work, Professor?" The Professor picked it up and held it in the light, "Hmm, yes, all you need to do is put it on your wrist and press the ruby to power it. It not only travels through time but also through space! Thanks to the help of your parents' blueprints Toshi and Trenshi and also your youngest brother's little trick I used. You also need a, I call it a "fossil," to scan with the watch. Then you will go to that era. Now, I need to find a trustworthy test subject." Toshi jumped forward, "I'll do it! Gladly!" The Professor was a bit stunned, "My word, you know what your doing by accepting this, correct?" Toshi nodded, "Ye! Lemme see it." The Professor hesitated, "Trenshi, what do you think?" Trenshi was about to say otherwise but then noticed the look in his brother's eyes, he saw what he was thinking and nodded his head, "A'roit, Professor, if he wants to do it, let him." Ludwig nodded in agreement, "Eet vill be the discovery of a century!" The Professor was content and handed Toshi the watch, "Now, you must remember that when you come back, it will not be a second after you left, understand?" Toshi blinked, "Not...really." Trenshi sighed, "What he means is, that when ya go ta Hy- I mean wherevah ya goin' ta, you can spend twenty yeahs, more or less, and when you come back, it will only be a few seconds afterward. Obviously you did it roit or not at all because if you woulda come back before you left, the otha you would be roit hea as well. Time travel is dangerous brah. Remembah that!" Toshi nodded, "I understand...I think." He snapped the watch on his wrist and sighed, "Here I go, I'll see you all in a few seconds I suppose," Toshi laughed at the thought. He took out his new Bom-Bomb Hammer and the shard hanging around his neck and moved the watch over it. The watch's stone as well as the shard glowed brightly. The Professor snapped up, "T-T-Toshi, what is t-that you are using!?" Toshi looked up at all three of their astonished faces, "It's a Triforce shard." He smirked as Ludwig sprang forward to try and stop him but he slammed his hand on the gem and was gone in an instant. He couldn't breathe, he felt like he was being stretched to his limits and let out a scream. He saw nothing. He couldn't feel his body any longer and blacked out. He gasped and clenched the soft green grass beneath his hands and looked up, he saw exactly what he saw years before when his mother first showed him the shard: lush forests and ferns growing wildly as well as the small forest around him, tall grass and mountains, crystal clear blue skies, and at last, the Hyrule Castle in all of its glory. "I...can't believe...I'm here. At last, I'm not dreaming! I can feel the wind and the grass. Just like the first time mother gave me the shard." He clutched it in his hand and gleamed. "Just think of the adventure I can have. Everything is so peaceful! It's beautiful." He swung his hammer over his shoulder, jumped up on the top of a tree, and let out a loud cry that could be heard from the surrounding forest and beyond. "My dream...is a reality at last." He breathed deeply the air of Hyrule savoring every last moment and jumped from treetop to treetop heading for the castle.

Chapter 2
He landed on the soft green grass and was now very near to the castle walls. "Ah, perfect. It's getting dark," He said sarcasticly. He had started to whistle only to remember that in his mother's stories, she spoke of the Hylian gaurds that would close the gates at sundown for as not to let thiefs and monsters inside. A jolt of fear went down his spine. He broke into a run and closed in on the gate but was too late as he heard a Wolfos howl, he could see the gate close. He saw someone else trying to run to it but was too dark to see who it was. They both reached the gate yet it had already been some time before they had closed it. "No! I was so close..." Toshi wailed. The figure turned to him, "Excuse me...who are you?" The stranger asked. Toshigau tried to adjust to the darkness but was to no use, yet he could tell it was a young boy not much older than he by the tone of his voice, "My name is Toshigau, who are you?" The stranger was about to speak but was grabbed by something as it screeched from below the ground. He let out a scream when it began to pull him under as Toshi sprinted forward and grabbed his arm. "I've gotcha!" He pulled him out of the ground and smashed the creature's head into pieces. "That'll learn ya." He felt the ground raise under his feet and jumped up only to be grabbed by a swarm of boney hands, "Lemme go!" He heard a sword being unsheathed and felt the hands crumble into nothing as the steel of the blade made a clashing sound against the creatures. He panted rubbing the scratches on his body. "Thanks a lot." He heard the sound of paws circling them, "Now what!?" A Wolfos jumped at Toshi and slashed at him as he fended him off with his hammer then giving him a devastating blow to the head. "We gotta get outta here!" the boy started to run slashing his way through a mob of Stalfos and Wolfos. Toshi followed closely behind. A blue glowing light came out as if from nowhere and yawned, "What'd I miss?" Toshi nearly tripped at seeing this. "Y-you-" The blue light chimed and bounced around in the air, "HEY! Stalfos and Wolfos are following us!!" Toshi almost laughed, "Navi....if we didn't know that... WHY WOULD WE BE RUNNING!?" the boy yelled as Toshi stumbled again at the sound of hearing her name, "NAVI!? Wait a minute! Y-your-" The boy stopped but Toshi was so dazed that he kept running and right into a stone wall, "MURPH!" The boy grabbed the now unconcious Toshi and dragged him into a ranch. "Malon! We have company!" a man yelled, "Oh? Who is it, Mr. Ingo?" Mr. Ingo shouted once more, "It's that rambuncious hooligan that you hang out with and...something..." Malon peeked her head out of the window and squeaked, "What do you mean by 'something'?!" He yelled once again, "Just come out here and see for yourself dag-nabbit!!" She closed the window and rushed out the door, "Alright! Yeesh, you need to take a vacation." Mr. Ingo gleamed, "Really?! You mean it?" Melon shrugged, "I...guess." Mr. Ingo clopped his heels together and ran in the stable. "Hey, what happened to him?" The boy shrugged, "We were running from a pack of Wolfos and a bunch of Stalfos. I stopped and he ran straight into the wall." He laughed a bit. "You were being chased? Hey, I thought you were going to the marketplace to get us some food!" He hung his head, "I'm sorry, I got there too late...the gates closed. But actually I'm glad I did otherwise this guy would have been done for." He looked over at Toshi who was asleep against the stable. "I wonder what he is. I've never seen anyone like him before. Not here and not at Termina either." He thought for a bit, "How odd. I have never seen anything like that bracelet in my life either." Malon went over and bent down next to Toshi, "What a big nose he has...maybe he's a Dinolfos? Or a Zora or even a breed of Dodongo?" She looked at him over and over, "I'm stumped." She started poking his cheek, "Wow, he actually has really soft scales...It's like silky leather." He opened his eyes and all three yelped. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Malon hid behind the boy, "It wants to eat me!!" Toshi's eye twitched, "Yeah, I want to bite into your skull and suck out your brains then roast your stomach in your blood. Ew." Malon had a terrified look on her face and clutched the boys hand, "Don't scare people like that!" she squeeked. Navi popped out of nowhere again and promptly sat atop Toshi's hair, "He's a Yoshi." Both looked puzzled, "What?" Malon and the boy both said in unison. Toshi glared up at the fairy, "If you weren't so cute and innocent, I'd swat you." The fairy chimed, "You would do no such thing!!" Toshi grabbed her by the wings and examined her, "Yep. You look exactly as my mother said. I wonder how she knew about you?" Navi squirmed trying to break free and Toshi tossed her to the boy. "So...you never told me your name." The boy patted Navi and raised his head, "My name's Link. Pleased to officialy meet you." They both bowed their heads, "Likewise." He snapped back to reality, "WAIT! Your the Hero of Time aren't you!?" Malon and the boy stumbled onto their backs, "NOT SO LOUD!!!" Navi screamed. "People would flock to our only hiding spot, much less challenge him, then we might as well open a local Carnival!!" Toshi was stunned by the volume of her voice, "GEEZ!!! You've got a big mouth for such a little fairy!" Navi cringed and slapped him across the face which sent him plumeting into a puddle of mud, "Owwww..." Link and Malon laughed, "She's also got a mean right hook!" Toshi got up rubbing his cheek, "You didn't have to hit so hard!" Navi turned her back and mumbled, "You certainly deserved it." Toshi stood up, "Well, whatever." He yawned, "Ugh, I'm tired." He plopped down on the grass and stretched, "I'll see you in the morning I guess." Malon glanced at Link a little concerned and Link returned her glance. "It's not a good Idea to sleep out here..." Toshi got up as a chill went down his spine, "Stalfos...right. Can I go inside then?" They both nodded and led him in. "We're going to bed too, if you need us for anything just ask, my father is still asleep. I'll tell him everything when he wakes up," Malon said. Toshi nodded, "G'night." Link followed her upstairs and went to his room and after blowing out the candles she went to bed herself. Navi had stayed downstairs and was sitting on Toshi's shoulder, "Don't go to sleep. I need to talk to you. It's urgent." Toshi rubbed his eyes and yawned, "Fine, fine."

Chapter 3
Navi started to shake and cry as Toshi sat on the sofa, "Hey, hey what's wrong?" Navi looked up and smiled, tears rolling down her little blue cheeks, "It's just, you act so much like your mother did. It brings back such good memories." Toshi looked confused, "What are you talking about?" Navi wiped her face, "You may not no this but, your mother used to be good friends with me when she was your age," She paused and started to cry again. Toshi petted her head lightly, "No," He paused, "I had no idea...mother used to come here?" Navi nodded, "She used to but then stopped all of a sudden. The last time I saw her she was really upset. I thikn something must have happened. But she did tell us all about you and your siblings. Your father came from time to time. How he had grown." She giggled but then fell silent again lost in her thoughts, "The time I saw her before she was grabbed by that...thing, we were walking through the Lost Woods." Toshi tilted his head, "I thought only the Kokiri children were aloud in there." Navi nodded. "Before Link's time... she used to be one of them." Toshi, shocked fell off the sofa, "WHAT!?" Navi chimed, "Not so loud!" Toshi started to shiver, "What are you talking about, 'she used to be one of them'!?" Navi put a hand up to his mouth, "Let me finish." She breathed deeply, "She had ran off to go play with the Skull Kids without me, I had gone after her and when I finally got there she was minding her own business playing one of their own little games with the Skull Kids and I had flown up to her. * * * "Violet, I've been looking all over for you! Don't do that!" Violet jumped up, "I'm sorry! I should have told you were I was going...but I thought you would know since I always come here so..." Navi smiled and sat on her shoulder, "It's quite alright Violet, no need to be worried," Violet giggled and continued playing with the Skull Kids. "Hey, Violet! Wanna go into the old temple?" The first Skull Kid chanted. Violet lit up, "Yeah! We can go tease the Wolfos again!" Navi chimed and bounced everywhere, "Are you INSANE!?" She shouted with much anger in her voice, "The Great Deku Tree told us not to go into that cursed place!!" Violet and the Skull Kids laughed, "Oh, Navi, we go there all the time!" Navi was still unsure, "Well, I don't think it's right to go against the Great Deku Tree's word," She started to panic, "What if he found out!? We could be banished!" The Skull Kids laughed again, "Aw, come now! We'll take the blame for it if he ever does find anything out!" Navi was startled, "....You? You'd do that for us?" The Skull Kids nodded cheerfully. "We'd do anything for Violet, she helped us when we were in trouble a long time ago!" Navi sighed, "Well I guess it wouldn't hurt. I'm coming with you just in case anything happens." Violet and the Skull Kids giggled, "Okay!" They set off towards the Forest Temple. "V-Violet...Don't you think we should turn back now?" Violet shook her head. "We've already come so far! Actually farther than last time. I wonder where all the Wolfos are?" Navi stiffened and flew to seek comfort under her long hair. "W-Wolfos!?" Violet nodded, "Yep. The Skull Kids have really strong sticks though. We even killed a few once. They were bad ones. Now most of them like to play with us!" Navi felt at ease now knowing the Skull Kids, one in front and one behind were protecting them, "Allow me to thank you for all your trouble Skull Kids," Navi bowed. The Skull Kids giggled, "It's no problem! She's our best friend!" Navi noted something, "How come the other Skull Kid hasn't talked the whole time?" The Skull Kid up front stopped and coughed. The other Skull Kid giggled and nodded then pulled Navi off to the side and whispered, "He's really shy. He actually likes Violet a lot." Navi giggled, "Oh is that so? How cute! We should do someting for them sometime." The Skull Kid giggled, "No, no. He wants to tell her up here. That's why we haven't turned back yet." Navi chimed, "Oh! Okay, but let's still be careful." The Skull Kid nodded, "We're almost there." They arrived at the temple and sat in front of it. "Wow I can't believe we made it!" Violet squealed. The Skull Kid had made up an excuse to leave them alone, "Um, I'm going to go work on something. I'll be back soon!" They nodded as the Skull Kid grabbed Navi and ran behind a collection of thick trees. "This place is so pretty." Violet looked in awe at it as Skull Kid sat, cross-legged upon a rock, "V-Violet?" Violet turned around shocked that he finally spoke, "...yes?" The Skull Kid breathed deeply, "Ah was gonna tell ya this ea'liea but..." He paused. Violet looked smug, "What is it, c'mon tell me." The Skull Kid snapped up and dug in his pocket, bringing out a necklace made of ameryst and held it out to her, "Ah was gunna...give ya this cause..." He paused and Violet had a stunned, yet cheerful expression on her face, "Cause your pretty and...I th-" Violet hugged him tightly and smiled then took the necklace and put it around her neck. She then sat down next to him and leaned her head against his shoulder, "All you had to do was say it...I felt the same way...even if I didn't show it." Navi and the other Skull Kid were giggling, "It's kinda funny to know that they're going to stay children forever." Navi thought aloud. "Yep, they really will be together forever." The Skull Kid put in. Suddenly a strange wind blew across the forest, "Oog...that wind feels strange." Violet said shivering. "Ye, feels loik a storm brewin'." Navi flew out from behind the trees, "We need to leave. I have a bad feeling about this." All of a sudden a shadow appeared above Violet and the Skull Kid, "MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!!!!" Navi shouted as a large hand came down upon them both. The Skull Kid shoved his stick through the hand as it was carrying them off into the sky and it let them go. After they hit ground they started to run only to be grabbed by another one, this time knocking the Skull Kid out, it grabbed both of them and dragged them inside the temple then dissapeared with them in a flash of light. "VIOLET!!!!!" Navi screamed in despair as well as the other Skull Kid. The Skull Kid fell to his knees only to be tugged by Navi as another Wall Master came from the Temple, "WE HAVE TO LEAVE!!! NOW!!!!" The Skull Kid felt rage dwell inside of him as he lunged towards the Wall Master and slicing through it with a hidden dagger. "GIVE ME MY FRIENDS BACK!!!!" Navi grabbed him and pulled as hard as she could to stop him from going inside. "THEY'RE GONE! WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING!!! WE MUST LEAVE!! NOW!!!!" The Skull Kid cursed as he turned and ran. "ANOTHER ONE!!!" Another Wall Master came and grabbed the Skull Kid who was screaming with tears rolling down his cheeks. "SKULL KID!!" Navi screamed as he neared the entrance. A pair of Wolfos came out of the ground and slashed the Wall Master. They grabbed the Skull Kid and ran towards the exit as Navi followed close behind. They arrived back to the Kokiri Forest and set the Skull Kid on the ground, licking his cheeks. "Thank you." He tossed them a few bones he had gotten from a Stalfos he and the other Skull Kid had killed earlier that morning. They ran back into the Lost Woods, tails wagging. "They're...they're gone." Navi said with a heavy heart. "It's all our fault. We shouldn't have let them go." The Skull Kid said as he got up. A few Kokiri children raced to their aid. The Skull Kid turned around, "Hey Skull Kid! Where's Violet?" One of the little girls asked. The Skull Kid felt tears run down his cheek and fell to his knees. "They're....they're gone." The Kokiri children stepped back in astonishment. "What!?" The Skull Kid looked up and sobbed, "THEY'RE GONE AND IT'S ALL MY FAULT!!!!" Navi was going to say something but was stopped by a glare from the Skull Kid. What they said had come back to her, 'Aw, come now! We'll take the blame for it if he ever does find anything out!' She started to cry as the Kokiri children, filled with rage, chased him back into the Lost Woods and left to tell the Deku Tree. "Skull Kid...SKULL KID!!!!!" * * * Toshi and Navi both had tears running down their face, "Th-that's terrible..." He paused, "So...my mother was really a Kokiri child and my father was a Skull Kid...It's hard to believe but...I believe you." Navi threw herself down on Toshi and wept. He petted her as he was looking at the ceiling from where he lay and thought aloud, "But I don't understand...my mother and father are Yoshis...just like me." Navi wiped her face and sat up, "Toshi. When you entered this realm...did you notice something?" Toshi was confused, "Notice what?" She sniffed and pointed to him, "You've been changing. You've changed almost fully now since I told you that tale. All but your face and skin." Toshi notice that his tail had disappeared, his nose had shrunk, and his vision wasn't as good as well as his clothes were baggy and not fitting him properly. "What...I don't understand." Link and Malon had woken up when Toshi had screamed earlier when Navi had told him that his mother was a Kokiri child. They had listened on the whole thing and came down to Toshi and Navi. Malon was crying and Link was just as stunned as Toshi. He got up and walked over to a mirror then he looked at himself and couldn't believe what was happening. "I'm going to go see that Skull Kid. Navi...take me there, please."

Chapter 4
Navi was shocked, "What!? I don't even know if he's still alive! It's been years since I've seen him! Even when Link and I went there we didn't see him or anyone that knew of him!" Toshi snapped a glare at her, "We'll find him if it's the last thing I do. I need to know about my mother...and especially my father. I know very little of him." Toshi got up and walked out the door, "I'll be waiting outside." He slammed the door forgetting that Malon's father was still asleep. "It's a good thing Daddy is a heavy sleeper," Malon sighed. Link looked out the window at Toshi who was leaning against the stable. "I know how he feels, in a way, " Link said as he walked towards the door. "Where are you going!?" Link paused, "Where does it look like?" He unsheathed his sword, "I'm going with him." He stepped out the door leaving Navi and Malon inside. "Now, you know very well I can't go...I have business to attend to with Daddy." Malon said. Navi sighed, "I know...I'm going." Malon opened the door for her as she flew out and joined the other two. "Woah...Your growing fins..." Toshi jumped up, "WHERE!?" Link pointed to his arms and head. "There...there...and there." Toshi felt in the corresponding places. "...this is wierd..." Navi looked at him also, "His eye color is changing also. It appears he's turning into a Zora," she thought aloud. "A Zora? Oh yeah...Cool! I don't have to breathe underwater! And I guess I can call myself 'Tora' now." Navi shook her head, rolling her eyes and replied, "Surrrre...but you won't last but fifteen hours above land. After ten hours you'll start feeling the syptoms." Toshi sighed, "No problem, we won't stay there that long," Navi shook her head again, "I'm not taking any chances, Link fill up your bottles with water." Toshi gaped, "Your kidding..." Navi shrugged, "It'll save your life if we need it now stop pouting and let's go." The cucco crowed as the sun rose and they started off towards the Kokiri Forest after Link filled the bottles with water. After walking a few feet, Link spoke, "Navi, why haven't you told me about Violet before?" Navi sighed, "It was too painful..." Link smiled, "It's alright, I'm sorry." Toshi felt some discomfort in his arms, "Aaah...what's wrong with my arms?" Navi noted his arms were starting to bulge, "No need to worry, your just developing your fins," She waited a while until he cringed, "Yes, it's a very painful process." She raised her eyebrow, "I'm sure you can live through it. Your a strong boy." Toshi winced, "Oh man I gotta take the bracelet off or else I'm stuck he-" Just then he belted over in pain as the fins came out slowly and made his arm bleed then they stopped and bent like rubber, "AAAAAH MAKE IT STOP!! I MEAN GO!!! I MEAN-" The fins bolted out of his arms flinging a few drops of blood in different directions and broke the bracelet in half. It short curcuited and smoked. "Oh no oh no oh no!!!" He picked up the two pieces only to be shocked and he yelped, "AH! That..didn't feel to bad...ah, but still, this isn't good. This is NOT GOOD." Link grabbed him by the arm, "We don't have time for this! We need to get there before it gets dark, unless you want to fight more of those freaks, of course." Toshi shook his head and watched as his scaly skin started to grow over the wounds. Everyone stared at Toshi including himself for a while until Navi flew over to him and said bluntly, "That's gross." Toshi glared at her and shrugged, "Oh, well...yeah let's hurry." He picked up the bracelet and put it in his pocket then noticed something, "Ew...my clothes melded with my skin... Except for my pants. Odd..." Navi shivered, "CAN WE JUST GO NOW!?" Toshi and Link both practically flew back by her voice then shouted back in unison, "YES!!!" It was now at least four o' clock by the time they reached the castle. "Maybe we should stay here 'til morning?" Toshi suggested. "Good idea. I still need to get some supplies for Malon..." They were silent for a bit and a few crickets chirped, "I miss her." Navi grunted, "Oh put a sock in it!" Link blushed and covered his face with his hat. "Well we better go in, what kind of food do you haaaAAAHHH NOT AGAIN!!!" The long tail like fin started to grow out longer on the back of his head, his hair had fallen out by now and his nose had shrunken to a pointed one that face the ground slightly. "I...hate this...so much..." He fell on the ground and shivered. Link sighed and grabbed him by the dorsal fin on his head he had just grown and dragged him in the marketplace like a sack. "This is reaaaally pathetic," Link mumbled. Navi shrugged, "Who cares...we're already enough of freaks." Link nodded in agreement, "True...sad...but true." They both laughed a bit and made their way over the drawbridge, getting inside just as it closed. "Ah, the memories here." Link said remenesing on the great times they had here while saving Hyrule. Navi chimed in agreement, "Some pleasant memories indeed." Toshi cringed, "You're...stepping on...my fin..." Link yelped and jumped off his head, "Woah...sorry." Toshi gave out an exagerated sigh of relief and got up trying to balance himself. "How do Zoras walk like this!?" He took a few steps forward, tripped, and fell right into a group of people, one of which caught him. "Why, hello there." He looked up and squeaked as he saw a young female Zora, "Hi...there..." She giggled, "Hello Link. We haven't met for sometime." Link took a step back, "Ruto...hi..." She helped Toshi up and looked a bit confused. "You look a little different from a normal Zora," she said as she walked around him and practically got in his face. "Your kind of cute though." He cringed, "Thanks for that... uncomfortable comment..." She giggled, "Yep, just like little ol' Linkey," she said giggling and poked his nose. "Right...I'd appreciate it if you'd give me some-" He pushed her away from him a bit, "Space, please." She seemed a bit upset but hid it by saying, "Well there's plenty of other 'fish' in the sea." She started to walk away but Toshi couldn't help but laugh at her stupid joke. "Oh, boy. Now she's gonna be leeched to you forever." Link said with a smug look of remorse on his face. "Eep..." Ruto seemed to pop in front of Toshi out of nowhere and got in his face again, "So you think I'm funny!? Am I pretty? Tell me how my eyes look! Don't I have flawless skin?" She went on like this giving Toshi a headache yet he just said the words, "Shut up," over and over again even though she ignored him and kept on talking. "This is a time killer." Navi said, rolling her eyes. "Let's leave them here and go look around." Link nodded. "I'm up for that." Link walked away with his hands behind his head and a smile on his face knowing Ruto was now out of his hair, "Now Malon won't have to put up with her anymore!" He stopped and crickets chirped. "I miss her." Navi grunted again, "Oh, put a sock in it!" Meanwhile people were staring at the two Zoras, "Aren't my fins extravagant?" "Shut up." "Don't I have great skin tone?" "Shut up." "I wonder what father would say." "Shut up" She gasped, "I wonder what our children would look like!!" "Shu- WHAT THE HELL!?"

Chapter 5
Link was strolling through the Town and decided to pay a visit to Zelda at the castle. "Link, where are you going?" Navi asked as he climbed the vine that was running up the side of the wall, "What's it look like?" He grunted as he reached the top, pulling himself up, "I'm paying a visit to an old friend." He snuck past the gaurds and ran to another vine and started to climb, "Almost there." He reached the top and sat on the edge for a while as the sun set in the sky, "Whew, this is hard." He got up and turned around as Tora, with Princess Ruto clinging to his leg, was standing behind him. "WHAH! Wha...when did you....how did you get past the gaurds!?" Tora shrugged, "I asked to go in?" Link paused, starring at him in disbelief, "I hate you..." Tora grinned, "Well, I decided to follow you, what are you doing here?" Link shook his head, "I'm visiting someone that I haven't talked to in a while," Tora grunted, "Why are you STALKING ME!?" He shook his foot trying to get Ruto off, "Noooo, I won't leave you!" He sighed, slapping his hand on his forehead. Link laughed while making his way to the door, "You shouldn't have laughed at her joke." Tora moaned, trying to take a step forward, "Uhm, I kinda need to walk." Ruto raised a brow, "Are you serious?" Tora raised his brow also, "What?" Link turned around, "She wants you to carry her." Tora growled with frustration and picked her up, "Well, your lighter than I thought..." She giggled, "That's cause your such a strong man!" Tora felt his eye twitch, "Your becoming a nuisance." She whapped him on the head, "Silence! Now, march!" Link burst out laughing as Tora followed after him with her on his back, "Just you wait 'til we leave, Link." He laughed again joined by the gaurds as he greeted them. "I wonder how THEIR future will turn out..." One gaurd said to the other, "Hehehe, who knows but the gods themselves?" They opened the gates and they walked in, "Okay, you may put me down now...unless of course you don't want to, I mean, it is a great honor to be carrying royalty an-" Tora dropped her as she landed on the marble floor with a loud thump, "Ouch! How dare you!!" Tora and Link snickered, "Oh, I'm terribly sorry your highness! Please forgive me, I don't deserve such an honor as to be in your presence, oh great Zora Princess!" He got on his knees and pretended to worship her but got a surprisingly powerful kick in the stomach. "Very funny, don't underestimate me." She stepped on his back as he was holding his stomach and coughing as she walked past. He got up and rubbed his head, "Owww...she's sure got a mean streak...that, I didn't expect, heh." Tora said as he walked by Link who was trying his best not to laugh. He then decided to catch up after catching his breath from the hilarious experience. "Why is it so empty? I've only seen two gaurds the entire time." Tora looked around in awe, "Hey...those pictures up there...what the!?" He noted five pictures on the wall above him, going left from right it shows: Yoshi, Peach, Mario, Bowser, and Luigi. "How did they get those!?" Link looked up, "Hmm...I noticed those there too when I first came here. Who are they? Do you know them?" Tora shook his head, "Nevermind...we need to stay focused on our task which is finding Zelda, then heading to the Kokiri Forest." Link nodded, "Right, good idea." They searched all over the castle until Link finally found Zelda looking out a window, "Princess Zelda?" Zelda turned around, startled, "Oh...Link you scared me." Link scratched his head, "I'm sorry, I just wanted to visit you while I was in town. "I brought someone with me. His name's Tos...Tora. He's a Zora. Go figure." Zelda smiled, "That's nice that you've made some new friends since last we talked." Link nodded as Tora came flying up the stairs. "HIDE ME!!!" He jumped under a table. "I'm guessing that's your friend, correct?" Link nearly fell over laughing, "Yeah, that's him alright. He's having trouble with Ruto." Zelda tilted her head, "Is he her fiancee?" Tora jolted up, "WHAT!?" He hit his head on the table and slumped on the floor, "Oooooogg...tell me another story mommy...I'll be a good boy." Link shook his head, "No, no. I'm sure she would like that though," he said, chuckling. "So, why aren't there any soldiers wandering around?" Zelda looked out the window, "I'm not sure. All of a sudden most of them disappeard mysteriously, " Tora peeked his head out from under the table, "Owww...what do you propose it is, maybe i-OOF!!" Ruto had come running up the stairs unnoticed and tackled Tora to the ground and putting his hands behind his back, "Why must you torture me like this!?" She giggled, "Because, I'm taking you back home to show you to Daddy." He moaned and was about to speak until they heard screams downstairs and clashing of weapons, "What's going on!?" They could hear footsteps come up the stairs and heavy breathing, "Princess....Zelda...your be...ing...over...run...by...ugh..." A wrather tall man struggled to stand. He was holding his arm which had feathers sprawled out from the tips and a beak as well as feathers coming from his head and tail feathers. He collapsed as Link and Tora, now freed from Ruto, rushed to his aid. "What happened!?" The man coughed up small amounts of blood, "Get the...Princesses to...safety...before...it's too...late..." Zelda rushed to his side, "Hold on!" She took out a bottle filled to the top with blue liquid and popped the cork off, "Link, help me give him the potion!" Link held his head up as Zelda poured it into his mouth, most of it spilling off the sides of his cheek. He swallowed it and his cheeks flushed with color. "Ugh...I'm...alive?" Tora stepped in after running dowstairs a ways to see what it was then back up to tell his comrades, "Sorry to butt in but we have company." They heard more, yet louder thunderous footsteps and grunting. The creature made it's way up to view and gazed at the group as it screeched more horibly than a re-dead making them fall to their knees, covering their ears, and screaming in agony. It squeezed it's way through the narrow hallway causing most of it to collapse, "IT'S GONNA BRING DOWN THE WHOLE CASTLE!!" Link unsheathed his sword and shield, "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM US!?" The creature screeched viciously and from what could be seen, it had massive horns that curled down and back, a large eagle beak with a gargantuous silver nose ring, blood red eyes and much body armour as well as a grand, yet terrifying set of black feathered wings. It had also a helment donned on it's forehead. "Agh, we need to jump otherwise we're done for!!" Link screamed as it struggled forward. It spoke something in an ancient tounge and let out a blast of powerful dark magic towards the group. Link, Tora, and the stranger were all blown out the wall and fell screaming. The gargantuous bird-like creature reached the large room that they were in and rose up, spreading it's massive wings looking down agressively at the two princesses. The bird leaned it's head back and struck it's beak at them who were flung against the wall, Ruto being knocked unconcious. Zelda grabbed a large Gerudo Scimitar off a plaque on the wall and fought for her, and Ruto's life. The bird screeched and pulled with all it's might as it became stuck in the marble. Zelda rose the blade above it's head but the bird lifted its head out of the ground just as she sent the sword plunging into the marble. "I can't hold it off much longer...this is it, I've reached my limit..." The bird shook it's massive head and prepared to attack again. It reared it's head and lunged at her with all its might. As it came down upon her it was stopped by a massive axe. "If you want them...you'll have to go through me first." The bird-like man grabbed the mighty creature by its neck and flung it out the wall and jumped after it, catching it's wing then running up it to reach it's head he began to bring his axe down upon the beast's helment, "Forgive me..." He slammed the axe down upon the helment as the pieces flew in many directions. It was now unconcious and fell to its death just as the man jumped, spreading his wings, and ascended back to where the others were standing. "Thank you, Master Kaepora..." The man bowed to him. The mighty owl had come with the man to the castle and caught them just as they were about to hit the ground. "The pleasure was mine," He looked down at the other creatures "Alas, it is not the time to rejoice," he replied as he lifted a wing in the monsters' direction. "You still must finish the job." The man nodded and flew down. "There's no way he can beat all of them on his own," Tora began, "We must help him!" Tora jumped out the window and skidded along the wall. He noticed his shoes were starting to melt away, "Oh man...looks like I'm gonna have to find some boots or something soon." He jumped off the wall, kicking his shoes off and landed in the moat which he swam through to stop his speed from the fall and jumped out, landing a bit off-balance but was fine. A large metalic bull creature came up from behind him and pounded the ground with it's holves. Tora had jumped aside just in time and swung his fins directly at the beast's head yet, they recoceted off of him and came back to Tora whom caught them without any difficulty. "What's with this thing?" Tora was grabbed by two pairs of large hands, "HEY! Lemme go!" The bull snorted triumphantly and charged, "Let....me...go....NOW, DAMN YOU!!!!" With a blast of rage, he sent a shockwave of elecricity through the ground, frying the Moblins that were holding him and giving a critical hit to the bull whom after recovered started to whimper. "Heh, so that's your weakness, eh?" He paused, "It seems I can't use my ice powers anymore...and I left my hammer at the ranch but that's fine. I don't need them to beat YOU!!" He formed a small, yet powerful orb of elecricity and threw it directly at the bull as it connected and sent it flying to hit the mountain range surrounding the castle making one to cave in on itself as many rocks fell atop the beast, crushing its metal exterior and alternatly killing him. "Well, that was easy." A few moblins rose their spears above him, unbeknown to Tora but were hit aside by a scimitar and a sword. Tora turned around shocked, seeing the dead moblins as well as Link and Zelda standing in their place, smiling. He returned the smile but it fell to a frown instantly, "Where's Ruto?" Link blinked and scratched his head looking up, "Crap...well... we forgot.." Tora fell over, "ARE YOU KIDDING!?" Suddenly the castle started to cave in on itself, "NO!! I've got to get up there!" He started to run as Link tried to hold him back but he just snapped him off and continued running towards the castle. He started shaking and growled as he looked up at the castle walls which started to collapse, "I'll never make it in time..." He felt himself being lifted up as he looked up expecting the winged man or Kaeporo Gaebora but instead he saw a smaller image of the bird they had just conquered. Before he could react, the bird flew him into the now collapsing room. He let him go and landed behind him, squaking at him. He nodded and searched frantically for Ruto. He turned around on a heel when he heard her scream as a large portion of the room had collapsed on top of her leaving her trapped, yet unharmed, in a small space. He rushed to her side as fast as he could and started lifting the debris off of her. He grunted when a boulder came down on him as he struggled to keep it from crushing him. He finally managed to get it off and grabbed Ruto, then jumping out the window as the bird grabbed him around his shoulders and carried him to safety. When the bird landed them to safety, Tora grunted and collapsed on the ground. Ruto got on her knees and bent down to him, "Are you alright...say something!" Tora grinned, squinting one eye, "Something..." He coughed and grunted. She smiled, yet with much worriness in her tone, "This isn't the time for jokes! Your seriously hurt..." Tora clenched his fist, "I'm....fi-" He saw darkness engulfing him and breathed slower. He tried to speak something but was too weak and he blacked out. Link, Zelda, and the stranger came to their aid as Ruto frantically shook him. Ruto screamed and started to cry, "TORA!! TORA WAKE UP!!! WAKE UP!!!" Another large dragon-like monster came up from behind Link as he turned around, he caught the dragon by the snout and jumped to it's neck, then slicing it as the monster hit the ground. He got up and continued to stab it with his sword even though it had been dead with the first strike, "DAMN YOU!!! DAMN YOU ALL!!!!" The winged man grabbed the boy as he struggled and swung his sword around. The man caught the boy's hand and tightened his grip on his wrist as he yelped, releasing the sword. "They've retreated, we must get that boy a source of water to revive his strength," Link, rubbing his wrist lit up and rushed to Tora, taking out the bottles of water Navi had made him fill up earlier. As he turned him onto his back, he poured them over him. He started to breathe again and his heart-rate quickened. Ruto sighed with relief and flung herself on the sleeping Tora and cried. Navi had been sleeping in Link's hat the entire time, "Did I miss somethi- woah..." She flew up and scanned the surrounding area which had been totally destroyed as the sun rose in the sky. "How did I sleep through THIS!?" ------------------------------------------------------- That's the final one as of yet, if anyone has a problem with the quentuple (however that's spelled) posting, oh well. I couldn't think of a better way to do it. T_T I'll let the mods speak for themselves if they have an agreeable solution.
