Ok I just thought that this would be something fun to discuss. (I guess there's nothing better than hearing it from a person who lives there, than from a book?). I don't remember seeing a thread about this in this forum. Where I live, the summer is very dry and hot, with temperature averaging about 35 C°, but it can go and has gone over 40 C° one or two times each year. In this kind of weather, sitting under a tree won't make you feel any cooler, and if it's a moderately windy day then the air itself passing over your body will make you feel hotter. (needless to say, air conditioners are a necessity). It rains very rarely, but when it does, it pours. The average temperature in the winter is about 15-20 C°, it goes below 10 C° about 4-5 times in the whole winter. And it snows like, once every decade, and it doesn't accumulate! =( The temperature drops below zero once a year on average. So, what's the weather like in your area?

Yay, at last an interesting topic! :-] The summer is varyfing here (here = Budapest, Hungary), sometimes is very "cold" (for a summer... 25 °C), but sometimes the average temperature is VERY hot! 'What means "VERY"?' you ask... ? Well, it's about 38 °C, but it isn't an "usual average summer temperature" anyway. Over 40 °C, we call the weather "kánikula" [in other words: "damn hot" :-]. For our luck, a lot of rainclouds come here from Austria at summertime. However, thanks to the people who cut(ted) down the trees on the Northern Carpatians, usually we have got a "little" flood in the spring / late-spring. The winter is always cold here... (-5, -8 °C). The combination of snow, ice and sleety rain is "awesome", man! LEVEL UP ! ! You step two times, and you fall back to your butt. Uh... my bones are trembling when i think about it. The only thing what worse than the weather in January is my english spelling... :-]

Hmm...its pretty cold up where i live. Darn the UK!!! All we ever get is rain and...more rain...but i guess in return we get lovely green countryside because of it. Temperature is between a mix of 0 - 15 degrees C at times...i dunno what it is at this moment in time, but its still cold...however, we do get lucky at times and it can be very warm!

We've basically got three seasons over here: hot, not-hot, and cold. During the 'hot' months, temperatures get... well, hot. Not very humid, just hot. The sun shines down all day long, and the heat carries through the night 'till the next day. Shorts-and-sandals weather, to be sure. The 'not-hot' months are more berable. Within this range, it might rain. It generally chooses a few days and rains 'em, all in a row. It is also advisable to wear pants instead of shorts here. The 'cold' months are only really cold relative to the others. It never snows. It tried once, but only managed hail that sorta looked white and fluffy like snow. Beyond that, 'cold' is like 'not-hot', except colder. It might rain, though it generally gets pretty cloudy. The pilot light gets turned on, and I'm forced to wear real shoes insted of sandals.
Not a lot of variation there, really.

Mrr.
Here, we get a decent balance of everything all year. Recently, though, this Winter's been a jumble of Warm, Cold, Bloody Cold, and Nigh-Absolute Zero, like today.
This Winter's high = 20*C This WInter's Low = -47*C.

Well, I live in Arizona, basically a desert. Summer sometimes gets to maybe 105*F. And Winter, oh I HATE Winter, it's gets as low as maybe 40*F. I cannot stand the cold, It's living torture! XD I prefure 80-90*F, I usually need a sweater or two at 70*F. Yeah, I get cold too easily, last winter, I was wearing four sweaters and a jacket to school each morning. ... Then again, I have to wait at 7:00am for a half an hour, in the COLD, for my principal to arrive and open the school up. Yeah, school's like that.

well... Brazil is a tropical country, all the seasons is constantly humid, and the temperature doesn't modify too much. in the summer and in the spring is pratically the same temperature: more or less 95ºF (35ºC) to 77ºF (25ºC) winter and autumn is more or less to 71.6ºF (22ºC) to 42.8ºF (6ºC) just when is very cold! I already saw the temperature in the 32ºF (0ºC)... actually, this summer is too normal... I think that the temperature now is: 77ºF or less...

(All of these are in degrees Farenheit. I'm too lazy to convert; Sosume)
Greater Chicago area... always good at throwing temperatures that drop 70 degrees within a 24 hour peroid.
The summers are usually humid, with temperatures that vary from 40-90 within the same month.
Erratic temperatures continue in winter, with temperatures that range from -15-50 in the same month, at least 1 blizzard every year.
Spring brings rain, storms, occasional twisters. Temperatures from 10-80

Hmm ... in spring and summer in the daytime, it can get pretty hot. The winter time is the only time for perfect weather. But, even then, it can get very warm. Night time can be very cold in the winter. Sometimes cold enough to form frost on our front lawn, but no snow, unfortunately . In the summer, the night time feels pretty much like daytime, which is around 85*F. And there's a whole lot of sunshine out here. It's hardly cloudy, which is why I wear sandals all the time.

Well, I'm close to MN and I used to live in Chicago, but now I live in North Dakota. This state is ranked for 3rd highest temp ever and 3rd for the lowest temp ever (in the United States)
The weather remains quite dry here, so humidity is always low. Summers are usually sunny, except for when the bi-weekly tornadoes and severe thunderstorms appear. The heat in summer has been over 110 degrees F. some years. On those days going outside is like approaching a blast furnace 'cause of the high winds. The states that get it worse than us are Arizona and Texas (I think).
It gets really windy even without the tornadoes. It's not uncommon to see winds get up to 40 - 60 mph. One time a microburst hit my home and blasted us with 80 mph winds (we found my dogs kennel in the neighbors yard).
The winters have been rather mild in recent years, but we used to get really bad blizzards, even in May. Temps have gone down to - 50 Farenheight, without including windchill even. The only time we get snow days though is when the snow drifts block cars from getting out of their garages.
We have a little problem with floods in the eastern part of ND. Since there are no hills at all in this area, when the rivers rise it's like spilling water on a table top. But since we've been in a drought for the past few years that has little chance of happening anytime soon.
I still like this place though! ;D

hmm, well depends on the season, summer can get as hot as the low 40's c or as cold as -30c or colder. Or if we take that to F thats hotter than 100 and bloody colder then 32, I seen it dip below 0F around here or colder. Sping time is a mix of evrything as is fall or autum if you prefure. Gotta watch out for twistys though. Along with hail at times. Whats relly strange is we have seagulls living here. This is about as far inland as you can go, Im arounf the center of the usa so theres not mutch ocean aound here =}
