Chapter 9- ... SARMAD?!

"You really think you're gonna distract me with THAT?" The Black Bandit asked, frowning.

"Shaddap.." Crystal muttered. She fired the electricity into the air. After half a minute, it began going down like lightning bolts. This caused the Yoshi to run around, trying hard to dodge the electric bolts.

Mysteriously, a rock came out of nowhere and bonked the Black Bandit in the head, making him fall over.

"Oww..." The Yoshi got up, frowning. He'd have to leave before anything else happened.

"I, uh.. gotta go." He said, beginning to walk to where Twilight town was. He stopped and looked at Anna. "You know. I never said this, but.. For a Yoshi, you're pretty cute."

Anna was shocked at what he said. Crystal just blinked. They never expected him to say that.

Meanwhile, at the Rogueport Inn.

Zuna was reading the cursed prognosticus. How'd she get it? "After they get the third one, they'll never find the others in time.." She said, smirking. She walked out of the in, smiling.

Back at Twilight trail.

Another rock flew straight at the Black Bandit, but he dodged it in time. "Who the heck is throwing these things?!" While he was yelling that, another rock knocked him over when he finished. He got up, growling. He didn't realize that his mask had fallen off.

Anna's eyes widened when she saw who it was under the mask. "... Sarmad?" She whispered.

The Black bandit saw his mask on the ground and put it back on. "Uh.. bye!" He ran back to Twilight town after that.

Kendra eventually found a way out of the broken house. How'd she do it? She had to keep banging the door. That actually hurt a LOT. "Pain.." She said. She noticed Crystal pick up the time Shard the Yoshi left behind. "What the heck happened?" She asked.

"You don't want to know.." Crystal said.

Anna just stared ahead, unable to move.

In Between chapters.

Rogueport sewers.

"WHAT?!"

"I'm sorry! I don't know how it happened!"

"... ugh.."

Zuna and The Black bandit were arguing in Rogueport Sewers.

"Nevermind.. I gotta go think for a while.." Zuna walked away after saying that.

The Black bandit sighed. He took off his mask, frowning. he took out a sketch from it, looking at it. It seemed to be a sketch of a young Female Yoshi, smiling. The other half was torn up and got lost. "Why is she so familiar?" He asked. he put it back in the bandana-like mask, and tied it back onto his head.

Chapter 10-

It was the next day, and they were at Rogueport.

"What?!" No one except Kendra and Anna were in the alleyway when this happened. Anna had told Kendra what happened. Crystal had gone to Fahr outpost before all of this.

"it's true.. When his mask fell off, he looked just like Sarmad.." Anna said.

"Zuna tricked him.."

"Oh.." Anna looked down to see a piece of paper on the floor. "Huh?" She picked it up. it seemed to be a sketch of a Yoshi, smiling. it looked like he was having fun. The other half was lost.

"This is half of the sketch that I drew. How did it end up all the way here?" She asked.

In between chapters

Zuna was watching the Black Bandit closely. she frowned when She saw the sketch.

"The girl must have the other half. I won't let the two cross paths again.." She murmured.

The Black Bandit frowned. "All I can remember is that the morning I woke up to visit the girl, we found out that she had to leave. One of the Yoshis took the sketch she drew, and tore it in half. I picked the first piece up, and when I tried to grab the other, it was carried away by the wind. I looked up and saw the girl go."

To him, recovering his memory was a good thing. But to Zuna, it was the opposite.

"I have to keep them apart..." She murmured.

I've been trying to do something funny for the past three chapters. Sadly, it ain't working.. I just making my characters have funny moments. XD

Here's chapter 11! I'm adding a new character in here. he's a bob-omb and doesn't know what his name is, so I'll call him Bob. XD

Rogueport, fourth day.

It was two days since Crystal and Anna got the second shard. of course, this was the second day since they got it. Crystal was still wandering through fahr ooutpost, and Anna had gone to Petal meadows with Kendra to see if there was a hidden time shard there that wasn't on the map.

Zuna was still in the rogueport sewers with the Black Bandit. She read the cursed prognosticus and smirked. "I should change this a bit.." She said. she waved her hand over two pages. in an instant, the words were changed. "By the fifth day, The girl will be hit by an awful curse. it's a curse called an endless nightmare. it only lasts for three days. by the eigth day, she'll die. Unless..." That was it. That was all that was there. nothing else.

"What does it mean by unless?" She asked. she changed the words in the book, but she didn't expect this.

The day after that.

On the fifth day, Kendra was still in petal meadows. they checked in the town nearby the day before, but no sign of it. The koopa found Anna lying near the entrance to the town, whispering something.

"Help... Help me..." That was what she was saying.

Kendra blinked. looking around, she ran to the inn in (that sounded the same! XD) petalburg town (Forgot what it was called..)

The Black Bandit was also in the own. this time, he has the bandana thing in his hand with the piece of paper inside it. He walked into the Inn, wondering what was going on.

The Innkeeper and Kendra were talking, when the innkeeper stopped after kendra had mentioned Anna not being able to wake up. "What the heck?!" That was all the Innkeeper said.

Kendra saw the Black bandit where the door was. "You're not going anywhere near us!" She tried to grab her wand, but realized she left it in twilight trail. "CRUD! I forgot my wand!"

"It's okay. I won't do anything." The Yoshi said, walking towards them.

"Help.. Sarmad.. where are you.." Anna said. She would've tried to get up, but she was stuck in her own nightmare. She could hear voices outside of it, so the least she could do was try to say something.

Sarmad... The Black Bandit Blinked. 'That's my name..' He thought. "Guys.. it's me, Sarmad.." He said, smiling.

Kendra blinked. "I thought so.." She said. She actually knew it a few days ago.

Meanwhile, at Fahr outpost.

Crystal was getting real tired of wandering around. "Where the heck is it?!" She tyelled, growling. the head of a snowman fell off, and due to her surprise it got up. She began screaming and ran around randomly. Wow, it actually spooked her. "IT'S ALIVE!!" She yelled.

"Shut up!" Those words came out of nowhere. That, and snow being blasted everywhere. where the snowman head stood, there was a purple bob-omb with orange feet named Bob. He never knew his real name, so he named himself that.

"Who the heck are you?" The Duplighost asked.

The Bob-omb just looked at her. "Bob."

Back at Petalburg Inn.

"Sarmad.. that you?" Anna asked.

"Yeah.. what the heck happened?" Sarmad asked, linking.

"I don't know.. One second I was heading to thw town, the next I find myself on the ground."

That time, Zuna, disguised as a Goomba ran into the Inn screaming.

The Innkeeper sighed. "What the heck is going on here?!"

"This Goomba's INSANE!" Kendra yelled.

While Zuna was screaming, she thought "Sarmad you traitor. Thought you could sneak away from me, huh?"

Sarmad was trying to ignore the screaming. He remembered something else. from the day Anna left, to the first day of school, where they started teasing her, and dragging him away. That was how much he remembered. That, the fact he was born with Telekinesis, and remembered she was a mage.

Zuna still went on with the screaming. She also thought "Great, he remembers more. it's only a matter of time before he recovers his memory completely. even if he does, they won't be able to break the curse."

Kendra had it with the screaming. finally, she had enough anger to yell "SHUT THE HECK UP!" When she said that, she roof on the Inn was sentflying into the air. shortly after, it landed back onto the house. all the Koopas outside, near the inn looked at the building, blinking.

How's that? The end of the chapter might not be funny, but to me it is. XD yes, I went braindead.. so.. yeah.. I ran outta ideas, okay?

Chapter 12!

Petalburg Inn, sixth day.

Good thing Zuna left after that. otherwise, everyone near the Inn would've been up all night.

Sarmad blinked. Anna appeared to be sleeping. "I wonder what happens when she yells in her sleep?" He asked himself.

Unfortunately, Anna heard that. "Sarmad.. SHADDAP!" She yelled. Shortly after, Kendra was electrocuted.

"ow.. Now you know.." Kendra mumbled. She looked scorched.

"Yikes.. Yeah, this is probably my fault."

Anna woke up and glared at Sarmad as soon as she got up. "Yep. This is your fault.." Although she was awake, in her mind, the was still stuck in the endless nightmare. She seemed pretty mad at Sarmad.

"Uh.. Gotta go!" Sarmad ran out of the Inn, sighing in relief.

"GET BACK HERE!!" Anna had gone after Sarmad by now, chasing him all over town.

Kendra sighed. "If only I stopped her before this happened.." She said.

The Innkeeper just blinked. "Okay then..?"

Kendra walked out of the Inn. the fireball Anna fired at Sarmad actually hit kendra, making her scorched, AGAIN. "Why's it always me?!" The Koopa yelled. "I'll go get my wand.." She ran off after that. Where was she heading to? Twilight town, just where the broken house is.

Fahr Outpost

Crystal growled. For her, this was INSANITY. "I gotta get away from the Bob-omb.." She thought.Luckily the Bob-omb was too busy talking to notice her, so she ran off, sighing in relief. "Finally.." She muttered.

There's chapter twelve.. I find it amazing that Kendra lost her wand in Twilight town, and remembered after being in the Inn for so long.. XD Sadly, the Innkeeper has no idea what was going on.

Here's chapter thirteen!

Chapter Thirteen- Still the sixth day.

It took a few hours for Kendra to come back, Dragging Crystal behind, who was holding the time shard. The actual time clock was a heart, with a clock in the middle of it. Bob wasn't there at first, but when they heard someone saying "Oh, I see you managed to find your wand, kendra.." Kendra and everyone else, including Anna and Sarmad turned to see Zuna. that was when Bob showed up, watching silently.

"What? not surprised?" Zuna asked, walking over to them. "Looking for this?" She pulled out the final time shard (Which wasn't supposed to show up into later)- a small silver clock.

"The final shard. I thought we weren't supposed to see it until we found the rest of the shards!" Kendra blurted out.

Zuna the spotted Bob. "you, over there. You're going with me." She said. before Kendra, Crystal, Anna or Sarmad said anything, Zuna disappeared with the Bob-omb.

"Anybody else notice that this was random? Crystal asked.

"We have to look for the other shards." Kendra muttered. That was when they spotted two Koopa staring at them.

"Oh snap. they're onto us. RUN!" the first Koopa yelled. the other nodded, and both of them fled.

"... Okay, random much?" Anna asked.

That puts the end to my thirteenth chapter. It's random.

Here's chapter fourteen!

Chapter fourteen- Night of the seventh day.

Once the Innkeeper left, Kendra, Sarmad, Anna and Crystal, who were pretending to sleep, woke up. Anna, well, she was still asleep.

"I can't help but think the koopas we saw yesterday had one of the shards.." Kendra muttered.

"Sorry to change the subject, but.. how much longer does Anna have to live?" Sarmad asked.

"Not much longer, I guess.. I've never seen a more complicated curse than this. when I flipped through the spellbook, I saw a few curses and jinx spells, but.. no one's ever done this before.." Kendra frowned.

"Oh.."

Meanwhile, outside the Inn, and when everyone's gone into their houses..

The two koopas from yesterday were outside, walking.

"Do ya think they could be talking about one of these??" The first one asked.

"I guess so.. it IS a shard, you idiot.." Koopa #2 said.

"..."

"What?"

"Nothing."

Back at the Inn

Once Kendra fell asleep again and so did Crystal, who never said a word the whole time, Sarmad frowned. he noticed a piece of paper on the ground and picked it up. it appeared to be half a sketch. "I wonder.." he whispered. after he tried to put the two pieces together it worked. By then, his memory had recovered.

"Anna drew this?" he asked himself. settig it back on the ground, he picked the spellbook up and began flipping through the pages. there, he came across the endless nightmare spell. at the very bottom of it, it said something about undoing it, but it was written in small letters.

"In order to undo the curse, you must say these words backwards: take the endless nightmare back right now"

Sarmad blinked. he was never used to saying things backwards. he sighed and tried saying it backwards. nothing seemed to happen. closing the book, he put it back where it was. "I wonder if it worked..?" He whispered, going back to sleep.

the next day..

Anna seemed to wake up very early. The Innkeeper was still gone. Who knows why??

"Huh? The drawing's fixed.." she whispered, picking up the sketch. she looked at sarmad and smiled. "Thanks.." she whispered again.

Once everyone else woke up, Kendra and Crystal were confused.

"Why didn't the curse work??" Kendra was flipping through the pages, wide-eyed.

"The loophole.. it was in small words.. it was hard to read it." Sarmad explained.

"You read my spellbook?!" Kendra yelled, furious. when she yelled, the roof of the Inn was flying in midair again, and landed on the house again. the koopas outside stared at the inn, confused.

"I'm sorry! I had to. Don't hurt me!!" Sarmad yelled, hiding behind Anna, who had gotten up from sleeping on the floor, an was confused.

There.. end of chapter fourteen.. I wanted the roof of the Inn to blow off and land on it again, so.. yeah. XD

Yay, Sarmad had his memory back! I wonder if Kendra will do something horrendous to him for reading her spell book!

Chapter fifteen- eighth day

"You might wanna start running before she tries to turn you into a pile of ashes.." Anna muttered.

"Good idea.." Sarmad ran out of the Inn, kendra following behind.

"Wow.. I'm surprised that no one's supposed to read the spellbook except Kendra.." Crystal muttered. because of the yelling, it caused her to wake up.

"Yeah.."

The Innkeeper came back, asking "Where did the other two go?"

"You don't wanna know.." The two girls said.

The two girls, and the innkeeper walked out, and saw Sarmad dodging the spells Kendra fired at him.

"... Think it could be jinx spells she's firing at him?" Crystal asked.

Anna blinked. "Maybe.."

The Innkeeper blinked for a few seconds before going back inside and saying "Yikes.."

Yes, but it gets the point across =). I wonder how things will turn out between Sarmad and Kendra? I can't wait for the next chapter! Despite the loss of my hand-eye coordination, I'm still pretty talented at painting words onto grains of rice.

Finally! chapters sixteen and seventeen. I'm trying to shorten the length of the fanfic, ok? I think the fanfic'll just take a LONG time or something.

Chapter Sixteen

"I swear they're onto us!" The two Koopas had gone by again, and they dropped two shards.

Kendra, who stopped chasing Sarmad, picked up the shard. "Wow." She wondered why they had the two shards.

Kendra began reading the prognosticus. "... Even if they find all ten Shards, it'll practically be impossble to fight the Shapeshifter, since a certain Yoshi has betray his friends. The only way to win the battle is if they find out their weakness.. If that lose, the void does what it does."

"... That's not gonna happen." Anna frowned.

"Remember. I was there when you fuirst found the book. One way or another it'll happen." Kendra reminded her.

"Wait.. You were there when I first found the book?" Anna was confused now.

Sarmad wasn't paying attention, since he had no idea Kendra's wand was floating behind him.

Crystal hadn't said anything the whole time.

"Sarmad also has a dark side, remember? So Who knows whe He's gonna leave us?" Kendra continued. Anna was too busy listening to her when Sarmad had run off.

Crystal Saw the blue Yoshi run away, but she never said anything. At the same time Sarmad ran off, Kendra's wand fell to the ground.

"Sorry guys." Sarmad whispered, putting his mask back on as he ran.

He had no idea where he was going, but he hoped it was far away from them. he had no idea he was going to the Fahr outpost.

Sarmad also felt sad that he was leaving Anna behind, but he had no choice.

In between chapters..

once Sarmad reachedthe Rogueport Sewers, he stopped, tired. He didn't notice Bob the bob-omb walking by him, carrying a shard that he "found" 9(More like traded with someone else.).

Zuna noticed him, and smiled. "One way or another..." She repeated what was in the prognosticus that she got from one of her "Visions" This time, she didn't need to hypnotise Sarmad.

Chapter seventeen- later that night.

Anna stood outside. She wondered what was taking Crystal and Kendra so long? They should've been back from Petal meadows by now.

That was when she saw Bob come in. Noticing thsat he carried a shard he thought was part of a clock, she told herself "another shard? oh great."

"Want this? Make me blow up and I'll give you it." Bob mumbled.

"Okay..? Why the heck are you purple? Were you born like that or did someone pant you--" Anna began, but in mid sentence, Bob asploded. grwling, he gave her the shard.

"i can't believe it. no wonder everybody calls me the idiot..." Bob walkd away.

From the night of the eighth day to the fourteenth day, Anna and the group had been looking for the rest of the Shards. Though it was har and they had to put up a lot of fights with bosses that had them, they got all ten of them. they were all tired, and they finally went back to the place where the void started- Rogueport. it was the night of the fourteenth day, and the ground started to rumble.

"Ah yes. the red void. as soon as the fifteenth day starts, it'll do what it does." Zuna told herself. Sarmad noticed Anna and the others "They're here." he said.

"We were waiting for you. Here it is, the final battle." Zuna smiked. "Two on two." She said. Nobody- Not even Kendra knew her weakness.

"Come on, Crystal. Lets fight while Anna tries to fix the clock." Kendra said.

Aw. I can't believe I stopped when the final battle was about to start. ah well. xD
