Yoshi's Island has but one code, and that is, on the map screen, holding Select and pressing Y Y B A X (or on SMA3, L L B A R,) to play minigames.
There are was to get lives easily (that is, even MORE easily than normal.)
Go to world 1-7. Lick up one of those rolly-bug things. Go to the pipe that makes Shy-Guys, and spit the bug to the right of it. Stand a bit further to the right and wait. You shold end up slowly getting lives.

Ooh, Marching Milde's fort. That's a tough one. Each of the four paths tests a different aspect of play.
Is there a particular part that's troubling you?

The trick is to use the middle-rings well. There's three of them in total. You go through one before you enter the fortress itself, so take the easiest door first... probably the one with spikes underneath it. Go through another area, then the middle-ring under the stairs, then another area, then the final area, and go through the locked doors to find the other middle-ring. That ought to help...

If you mean the ones on the LEvel Select screen, then yes. You need a 100% score on every level in that area.

But if you're playing the GBA version, you need 700 points for the bonus level, 800 for the extra level, and you need to complete the game for the secret level.

Well, there's 13 in the first room...
In the room with the water, go to the upper-right exit to find two more.
In that room with the platforms that flip over when you hit the switches, the other five are there, with two before the locked door, and three on one of the red platforms.
Hope this helps!
