You beat EVERYTHING, as in you got the gold cup in 50cc, 100cc, 150cc, and Mirror Mode? And you earned the bonus time trial ghost ghost thingy? And you did that 21 times?? I think you're lying... I hate liars. But, if you aren't lying, then you get your butt over in my house and beat that final course in Mirror Mode for me! Well, I could probably get it done if i actually tried for once.

I beat the entire game using Yoshi and Birdo, or later on, Yoshi and Wario. All I can recommend is to always do the skid around corners (EXCEPT on Rainbow Road, you WILL go off the edge) and to skid when you get hit with a shell (particularly a blue shell) as there is no friction and you accellerate faster.

Yes, but, can you get full points on every course? I've done it except for 150cc and Mirror all-cup tours. It's practically impossible.

I finished the entire game within a week using just Koopa Troopa and Koopa Paratroopa. And yeah, I've beaten the secret ghosts and finished all the cups with max points. I even have a video of my thrashing the secret ghost on Rainbow Road. I can upload that if people want.
Its not that hard, especially if you powerslide on every corner. Maybe powerslide 2 or 3 times on every corner.

I usually power slide round every corner.. and sometimes on straights too, if I can manage. Whats anoying is when the CPUs throw everything they have at you

Its not that bad. Super Mario Kart was the worst game for cheating AI. They had unlimited items they could use as often as they wanted. Who can forget getting stuck behind Luigi as he fired off star after star.

Usually it doesn't bother me, but when its a close race and you're in 1st place, its not nice to get slapped with piles of red shells But yeah, the AI was rotten in Super Mario Kart. It was great how they always got feathers from nowhere, when otherwise they would have got hit by something.

That's right, they could jump over ANY item you didn't place yourself and they had an unlimited amount of their own specific item. It wasn't too bad for some characters like DK Jr who just dropped a banana, but Mario & Luigi were especially annoying with their unlimited stars.
MK: DD... I personally think items aren't that effective. Apart from the flying Bowser shells/Pegasus Shells which stop you dead, send you up in the air and make you lose your items, sapping tons of time. Red shells or banana's crash you out, but you keep most of your momentum and you can continue while only losing a second or two of time. It helps that in MK: DD its quite possible to avoid redshells just through skillful driving. You can outturn them basically and they will slingshot right past you. That was impossible in MK64.

blue homeing shells can be avoided.
yoshi kid-i've heard this before, and i have problem with the track, not the items. i knew that and thanks for spoling the game to some.
darkmark-great advice. thats the problem i have with the tracks.
did you know that all the special cup courses have a walls part.

Yea, its happened to me a few times, but i dunno how in the world it happens (probably luck).
What do you mean by that?
Yeah, its very possible, if you start to powerslide and you release the boost at the second its gonna hit you, you can avoid it with ease, but the trouble is, getting the timing right!
I find it annoying when they hit you while your on a bridge (such as DK Mountain), it annoys me so much, and how the hell can they just zip past you at the last straight on the course? Now that really annoys me!!!

LD, Mario Kart DD has been out for over a year now... and since its not a story driven game, these aren't really 'spoilers' anymore. Any 'die hard' fans who care about keeping secret characters a surprise probably finished the game a year ago. Don't be afraid to Powerslide on Rainbow Road. Its quite safe. x-plane.org/home/ukguybry/RainbowRoad.zipThis is an old video, I've since thrashed the time I set because of a bunch of mistakes on the last lap and missed powerslides. Reason being when I recored this, there was a one second delay between the controls and the game. Not an easy way to play something like MK I assure you. I've since figured out how to record without any impact on actual gameplay, so I can show off more.

I usually end up powersliding around that banked corkscrew thing, and most corners... although if I boost on there, I fly right off
