I'm getting a new computer near the start of august. It's my own so I'm hoping to get a good game for it, now I'm torn between 2:
World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XI
I'm not sure which to get, so I'm hoping to get some opinions from you guys on which I should buy. 'tis a hard decision, both great games.

I play World of Warcraft, and it has awesome graphics. It's somewhat lacking in the pro-con weapon detail, though.
But there's so many things to do when you reach the maximum level, it's hardly ever boring.
I've never played FFXI, so I can't help you there... sorry.

i had played WoW and i was a dwarf hunter (lvl 57). Then i got bored and gave it to sister, but i never got bored at Final fantasy 11, still playing it. I think you should get WoW first tho, its a great wexperience in your life!

Final Fantasy XI for the wiiiiiinnnnn. Double-scoop ice cream 'Tis quite unlike any other MMORPG I've ever played, entirely different in how the rest seem to just be endless grinding with little else in between.... God, I wouldn't know where to begin decribing it. The graphics are very excellent for a game of it's type, size, and hugeness, made when it was -- which I must say is sadly a turn off of WoW for me.
