How in the world do I kill that Iapyx thing? It always gives the character I'm controlling (in this case, Kratos) something more to worry about than First Aiding/using Life Bottle on my other party members because it loves to pin me to a very small area on the battlefield where it is easy for it to attack me. And I always run out of Life Bottles to revive my partners because it uses Air Thrust a lot, especially when I'm charging up a strong attack to deal some damage to it (Air Thrust or Thunder Blade). And I have always had all my partners die before it ever gets to get defeated. How do I beat this boss?

It's been a long time since I've played that game, but let me think: Block when he uses Feather Shot and React Feather. Set Kratos or Raine to heal the party, and use techniques such as Beast and Tempest. Genis's Eruption and Stalagmite spells are also very effective. And you might want to reserve one life bottle, because Sheena attacks you at the entrance to the temple.

Bring Lloyd, Kratos, Raine and Colette to this battle. Have Raine heal the others like a madwoman (Use the shortcuts in the c-stick to make her charge the spells one after the other) Also, try to use photon sometimes (if she already learned) It's useful to break the boss defense. With Lloyd, try to use tempest and sword rain techs to hit the enemy a lot and prevent it from charging the spell, and always use the defense after attacking. Make Collete always cast Angel Feathers, and for Kratos, set him At once > Frontlines in the strategy screen and let him do his job. Pay attention to the party's TP, don't hesitate to use those orange gels. Also, there's an useful ex-skill for Lloyd that let him link two level 1 skills. ( I don't remember the name right now) Try to use this. Equip all the wind-resistant itens you have. (buy some if you need.)
Strategies for Colette and Raine:
Collete: Just set her to Long-range magic. Raine: Heal > Do not pursue
If you want to bring Genis into this battle, switch Kratos for him, Set him as At once > Don't pursue and don't cast any wind based spell (the enemy is resistant to it) Hope it helps.
