I've been neglecting everyone haven't I? D: *hugs* Okay. On to the topic.
Don't go looking at reviews and then tell me because I've been reading reviews all afternoon. Didn't really find anything to be very helpful but some things here and there. I need someone that has actually played FF.
I got some spare cash from babysitting, about $30, and I thought, "Hey, why not start buying FF games." So I read some reviews and asked a few friends which one(s) I should buy first(For GBA btw). I made this thing about what part of a game I like, and the parts I don't really need in a game. Depending on the prices, I may be able to buy more than one. x]
Couldn't care less 1---------------10 Fav part of a game
Graphics: 4/10 That's cause people get too worked up about it and buy crappy games with amazing graphics and then complain about it when they're bored with it. I love a game with descent graphics but the story and replay is what I like the most. So It doesn't matter to me if it has mediocre or professional graphics.
Music: 6.5/10 If it's catchy I listen to it. Even if it does repeat. It'd be better if it was various and long music. I don't mind repeating music too much as long as it's not at a place where you spend hours in. >_> It's not a must but I'd prefer the one with better music. =P
Gameplay: 8/10 I like it when I can do side quests and stuff and maybe if there are a lot of NPCs. NPCs make me smile. Usually. 8D And if there's a big selection of items. Especially a handful of rare ones. O: I read that you can "collect" a bunch of monsters in a bestiary when you kill them in FF I. Which ever game has more items and...you know...nice long gameplay. (Not too strenuous though.)
Interactivity: 8.5/10 I like it when NPCs have a good AI. Like every other one doesn't say the same things. Like in The Adventure of Link. (LOZ 2) All they said were:
"I'm much to busy to talk to a stranger."
"Hello!"
"Hello, young fellow."
And other stuff. Except for the special NPCs. So if that's the case then I won't like it all that much unless it has such a good storyline or gameplay value that I won't even need to use NPCs except for hints on where to go or to get items and potions and crap from.
Story: 9.5/10 If a game sucks in all other categories with the exception of gameplay, I'd buy it just for the story. I read that FF IV had one of the best plot twisting stories of all time and still does. But that was just one reviewer. Which ever one has the best Story.
Replayability: 10/10 Definitely love to go back and venture in places I miss for new items and monsters and just find new areas. If it doesn't have good gameplay or a descent story then there'd be no point.
(and yes it is in a specific order, ones that I least like in a game to most.)
You might be thinking, "If your going to collect them, then why not just start from 1 and go to XII. (If that's out yet)" For one, I don't get too big of an allowance. I'm getting a job asap though but I'm not entirely sure when. But until I save up enough allowance, I want to get the best game to keep me busy until then. Not to mention that I'm going to save up for a PS2, Wii, and PS3 (in that order). So ye, I'm going to try to get the complete franchise of FF games.
So far I just want to collect the GBA remakes. I'm not sure V and VI are out yet though. I saw their names on Game FAQs though.
Thankies. 8D
PS: This was fun to make and gave me something to do too. 8D
