Hi!
Welcome to Yoshi's Corner. A prime location for Yoshi fans of all ages, genders, grades and personalities to meet, talk, hang out, and most of all, have some good fun with other Yoshi fans. You don't even have to be a Yoshi fan to join, if you just need to have some friends to talk to.
First off, I'd like to welcome you on behalf of the entire community here at Yoshi's Corner. It's always great to see new faces, and yours is definately no exception! I'd like to direct your attention for a moment to The Board Rules. They're not hard to follow, but you need to make sure you know them. The Staff Members here are easygoing and very open to requests for help, as are many of the regular members, heck, if you have a problem with understanding the rules, or with a board code, or simply working out your signature, I've no problem with helping! Just drop me a Private Message.
You may see members with special titles, for example, mine is "God Yoshi". Don't worry about that. That's a simple measure of how long someone has been here and how many posts they have, when it comes down to it, we're all the same, on the same level, here to enjoy ourselves, right? That doesn't mean don't post, but don't stress yourself to either, go at your own pace.
Now, let's look at the sections you have to choose from, it's a large list, I know, but we'll work through it together.
Yoshi Cafe: This one's simple, and is where you can talk about almost anything! Don't feel nervous!
Bulletin Board: This is where the staff members will post changes to the board, or polls regarding changes to the board! Keep an eye on it if a new topic comes into existance here. Also, the Rules are here if you ever need to find them again.
Meet the Staff: This is where you can go to read about the friendly staff members that exist here on Yoshi's Corner! From mods to Admins. Feel free to ask them questions, the Bump Rule does not apply here.
New People: This is where you should go right after reading this, if you haven't already, and introduce yourself to us! Your introduction can be a simple 'hi', or some things about yourself to help us get to know you better, and greet you accordingly! Don't be nervous, give it a shot!
Other Art: This is the Other Art section. You post any art here you wish, as long as it doesn't break the rules.
Art Requests: Go here if you want to find people to draw for, or people to draw something for you!
General Writing: Poetry, short stories, anything that is not a fanfic goes here.
Other Fan Fics: This is where all your non-Yoshi-related Fanfiction can go!
Phew, let's take a break for a moment, that was a long section, I know, but we've only two more to get through! Come on now, you can do it. ^.=.^
This is the Fan Stuff section, pretty much anything Yoshi Related will find a home in a board here!
Yoshi Art: Have a picture of Yoshi that you're dying to show to the world? Go for it! As long as the picture is related to Yoshi, it belongs here!
Fan Fics: This is where Fan Fiction involving Yoshi goes.
Yoshi Fan Journal: Something happening in your life? Let your fellow Yoshi's Corner members know, and post about it here!
Forum Games: THis is where any kind of silly games go, to keep from cluttering the Cafe up! Please note, that your post count won't go up if you post in here! But be sure to have fun anyway, that's what this forum is for!
General Multimedia: Got a cool new CD you want to talk about? Saw the newest movie? Want to chat about your favorite TV show? Here you go!
Role Playing: Ah, one of my favorites, the Role Playing board! Ever want to pretend you're a hero? Just a normal Yoshi? An evil villian trying to destroy the world? Or just about anything, come here for it! Please note though, this section has extra rules that you won't get in trouble for breaking, but it makes it more fun if you DO follow them! Trust me.
Almost done, just three more to go!
Questions: Need a cheat code for that new Mario game? Stuck in that pesky RPG? Ask your questions here!
General Gaming Stuff: Go here to talk about video games, their characters, or new games and systems that might be coming out!
