Hey, Yoshi was in it, so I can talk about it, right? Anyway, what characters from Super Mario RPG would you like to see in later games? Maybe Boshi, perhaps? Or Geno or Mallow? Me, I think the Axem Rangers (sixth star battle at Barrel Volcano) had such charisma that they shouldn't have just been thrown away! If you'd like to see my adaption of this "charisma"...wait for "The Ns and Ends" sequel.  |

of course! BOSHI! needs a comeback! Why wasnt he in super smash bros Melle! Almopst all chracters were there! EXCEPT BOSHI! I was a popular chracter!  i want a little attention! |

Actually, most people don't even know about Boshi. The Yoshis area in SMRPG was completely optional and most people skipped right over it...all I remember was that you had to race Boshi with...cookies or something.

Hehe, I'm like teh yoshi, I'd like to see them all, including Boshi and maybe even Raz and Raini. The Axem Rangers were my favorite boss, especially since I liked power rangers when it came out, but they were too hard to beat alot of the time, especially with their mega zord thingy. Hehe, I wouldn't mind seeing Exor with a black eye, bandages, and stuff, especially if they made a SMRPG 2!

How many games has Boshi appeared in? I think I only have one! Its sad, nintendo should at least use a character more then once! On the topic, I'd like to see them all come back, too. I would really like to see Mallow back, but with better attack power, and Geno, or should I say !@#$, whoops, I mean !Double-scoop ice cream*()^%^. haha, I cracked up the first time he said his name like that, but thats off the topic abit. Um, I haven't seen that purple crock thief back either.(another name to add to the list of the missing) And if anyone knows this, who was the guy behind the house in RoseTown, was that the name of the town? I haven't played the game for awhile. I remember whoever it was would say things like "How did you find me back here", and I think he gave you a clue or something......Was he a goomba or koopa?  |

I know what you mean about the guy behind the building in Rose Town, and you're correct that's the name of the town. But I read somewhere that he was Luigi, even though you never actually saw him. I think it's still a mystery though. There's also another mystery guy behind the two story house with the kid that jumps on the bed in Mushroom Kingdom, the first town you ever enter.

I think that Boshi should've been the Yoshi clone in SSBM, instead of having one of those other clones like Pichu or Young link. If they make a Yoshi RPG, he should be in it and have a prominent role!

The reason you're unlikely to see most of the original characters from Mario RPG return is that they actually belong to Square Enix and not Nintendo.
If you watch the credits to Mario & Luigi, you'll see that Geno's tiny little cameo in the game (in the form of the original toy rather than the posessed puppet) still required Square-Enix's permission and they were given a copyright mention in the credits.
Fair bet Nintendo had to pay a royalty fee just for that cameo.
This is why during the N64 period, Nintendo were exceptionally protective of their characters and wouldn't let anyone near them.
With the new games developed by other companies using Nintendo characters, like StarFox Adventures or F-Zero GX you'll see very specific copyright information that all characters, story, music and sounds belong to Nintendo. That's also why Nintendo now own original Rare creations like Krystal or Diddy Kong.
So yeah, its pretty unlikely we'll ever see the likes of Boshi, Mallow etc ever again unfortunately.
As for SMRPG2, that's what Paper Mario was. It was called SMRPG2 for a very long time in development before being renamed into Mario Story in Japan and Paper Mario in the West.
