They both suck equally right now. When more games come out, I'll buy one (most likely the DS though)

DS. I want a console that will work 100% of the time. Not 5% of the time straight out the box.
I sense this is in the wrong forum. *prods over to gaming*

DS, it has more games I want, and I actually think the touch screen is a good idea on it, unlike so many PSP fanboys..
PSP is a sexy machine, no doubt about that... but there aren't any games I want on it, and if I wanted a portable machine that could play games, display images, play movies, and play music, I'd buy myself an Alienware Laptop PC instead.

Definetely DS. I left my Camoflague DS on overnight, and the batteries didn't fail to impress me. I picked it up and finished my game in the morning.XD

It's an easy choice, really.
PSP -> 1 screen.
DS -> 2 screens.
Why would you bother with anything else?

I'm with DS. PSP is a nothing in my vision (although I luv Armored Core series... :3 ), and a very... um... how to say: "unstable" hardware, too. Like all Sony things... And don't forget that bottom screen is touch sensitive - that lets you to do things like this:

The PSP is actually not that bad, I know a few people who own a PSP and I have used one, I have found most of the PSP rumors are untrue. The battery life is longer than the 3 hours most people claim, the square button does not stick, and the disk will not pop out unless you try to break the PSP; There are quality problems with many out of the box though. So will I get one? Yes...if the price drops, because it is great, but not $280 great.

I'm having trouble parting with it just to get a DS, but after everything I've heard, it scares me that I might be wasting my time getting a psp when all I'll most likely use it for is it's mp3 player functions, and my N-Gage does me great for that. I dont give two hoots about the huge screen. It's the quality of the games thats pumped out for it, and if the games are crap, well, the console wont sell. $280? I thought it was going to be more than that. My N-Gage cost more than that brand new.

I dont care if this sounds tratoris, unless they make the greatest zelda game in the world I will say I like the psp b/c in my opinion the touch screen is a cool idea but I will break it easily and it gets all scratched to where you cant see it well, and the psp may have its flaws, but I still would pick the psp plus psp can play movies I think that is awesome b/c its smaller then a portable dvd player, and I dont have a tv in my room, or the living room the only dvd is my playstation and that is in cherrys room and I need somthing in mine to watch movies ^_^ advent children when it comes out

Those problems are in the Japanese modells, on average. www.gamesarefun.com/news.php?newsid=4010- - Heh, here is some hardware sales from Japan... between April 11 and 17... - PlayStation 2 - 30,572 - PlayStation Portable - 28,950 - Nintendo DS - 21,698- GameBoy Advance SP - 10,529 - GameCube - 3,376 - GameBoy Advance - 397 - Xbox - 315 ... and between April 18 and 24. (last week) - Nintendo DS - 96,191- PlayStation 2 - 33,080 - PlayStation Portable - 33,004 - GameBoy Advance SP - 10,820 - GameCube - 8,329 - GameBoy Advance - 422 - Xbox - 112 (Xbox still rocks in Japan, LOL XD)Wow, that's the first time when DS tripled its sales against PSP (and PS2). Interesting, what the heck happened? I think that's all because "Nintendogs"... a dog breeding game... (very creative title, btw) from The Magic Box, photoThat's the first game what I seen so far with four maximum scores in Famitsu (a Japanese gamer magazine), that means it will be a great game... =)
