Don't take the gamefaqs quote too seriously... 95% of those message boards are simply morons.
I'm sure its overall quite a fair bit easier but in that case, just play it in Very Hard and Super Hard. No ones forced to use the easier modes (well, apart from the unlocking aspect)
The fun is in the choice of tracks, and there's plenty of minigames. 28 stages. 17 of them are Mario remixes.
I'd say the game is overall an introduction to DDR, Mario enthusiasts and Koji Kondo fans.
And it is quite cheap given that it comes with a dancemat.
And no, there isn't an edit mode.

Ooo, that Super Mario Bros 3 bgm remix is superb :B But that doesn't change the fact, I hate dancing D: (Watch the emphasis) Especially on these small dancemats. Just... no xD Anyway, nothin' can beat Bust-a-Groove! I mean the first one. The second one is forgetable... (how developers can ruin a game franchise at the second episode when the first was a hyper-super masterpiece?)
By the way, I found some videos about that new Mario and Luigi game. (link, possible spoiler stuffs) Waa, I must get this game by Xmas :B Or by the winter holidays. I wanna play all daaay... ; ; Sad it hasn't got a release date for European regions (or just I haven't found it due to my lameness). And somehow I'm too afraid to ask my friend to send the Japanese version when he will be in the Far East... damn, it's an RPG after all. Even Japanese RPG players need to keep one of those digital dictionaries to translate kanji symbols... so I think I have no chance to beat a Jap RPG with my knowledge of Japanese language (= nothing). It seems I need to be happy with Advance Wars Dual Strike, Mario Kart DS and Animal Crossing Wild World  (already preordered, wowies - uuum, yeah, even if AWDS released a while ago, somehow it is not available here. It Is The System's Fault!) Plus, I need to get a WiFi router or one of those Nintendo WiFi USB Connectors, if I want to kick some ass online... oh, by the way, do any of you plan to get Animal Crossing or Mario Kart DS? [: |

Augh, japanese RPGs? I despise RPGs anyhow, and when I tried playing Pokemon Fire Red as a japanese rom, it made my brain ache...its like trying to navigate with wingdings. D: Oo! Oo! Pick me! PICK ME! I wish to obtain both Animal Crossing Wild World and Mario Kart DS with the online thing. Norby, we must build our own fortress! |

And I think I'll be going for the USB wifi connector since I don't have a wireless router. I just hope the usb adaptor itself is wireless. By which I mean a USB cable going to a wireless receiver so you don't plug anything into the DS itself. Should be good fun though. |

Just because I haven't find the release date... like in the case of Mario and Luigi 2. Bah, two "good game which has got no European release date yet" today. (GOD FORGOT ABOUT US) Wee, awesome D: I like that Boo Boogie track a lot... reminds me to Pulse Phaze from Ridge Racers OST, woo! (may simply that is the reason why I like it, ehh xD) I think you won't need to pollute your DS with any "wired" (garaspssf! Old technology!) thingies. Illustration below:  O-oo and before I forget: that Nintendo Wifi USB Connector looks the same as this. (Well, that's because both device created by the same company, I suppose) So yeah, I think the description of this "wireless keychain" (lol?) will be suitable for the Nintendo WiFi USB Connector (man, let's call it NWUC - or more like, " Nevuck" - from now on). It is really a portable thingy, I must say. Nice how many people get Mario Kart DS, by the way. I can't wait to show you who's the... REAL WINNAR D: |

I'd say there was little point buying a PS2 when the PS3 is coming out in the not too distant future.
MAy as well buy the new one, seeing as its backwards compatible with the old games anyway.
