I'm terribly sorry if a thread has been made of this before, but during some adventures lately I stumbled across a game known as Stepmania. Anyone who probally has played DDR knows deeply about it or may have heard it a bit before. So please forgive me if this is old news, and I don't mean to bother any of you with it. One reason I brought it up is because it has become really addicting and fun to play when time is passing by. The only issue is finding songs to play alongside with it.
Stepmania is a game based of DDR, and in fact is like Flash Flash Revolution. You can actually use music files from DDR on Stepmania, and if you have a step pad handy you can hook it into your computer to play with Stepmania. If you don't, luckily you can easily use your fingers instead which is just as fun to keep beat with. It's also free and online, and it can be played online. Thats something you'd have to look into and I've tried it but come to a dead end when your friend doesn't have the song you have. Yet, for anyone who loves the online multiverse life there is a system in it just for you.
It keeps attention very well, and even though songs can be hard to find the main site comes equipped with song downloads, themes, and everything else that can be used in the game as well as links to other songs as well.
I brought this up just out of curiosity, and I reccomend it to anyone who finds time passing away and would like something fun to do. It's really amusing and the music is uplifting. (If you do download songs, the Plaguemix series are not to great. Also the MaxX series are incredibly hard)
You can get a free copy at: www.stepmania.com/stepmania/mediawiki.php?title=Downloads
You can get songs at:
www.stepmania.com/stepmania/mediawiki.php?title=Download_Songs
If you download it and open it, go ahead to the first option and press enter. Make sure you have downloaded songs, once opening them they will install themselves onto the files for the game. Make sure you open them to do such. Once thats done you can play the game by as I said choosing the first option. Once this is done choose your difficulty. Go with Light first unless you are a pro at these things, which I know many of you are. Then choose your song files and then it will ask you to choose one seprately on its own and the game begins.
One Photo From it from the Plaguemix series... I bet a few of you may know the game basis behind this:
