I realized something. Have you noticed Nintendo's games have been getting smaller and smaller? Well Ive lost my DS for the THIRD time. But anyway, have you noticed the smaller disks for gamecube instead of normal ones like PS2? I lost at least 2-3 of those. And then the game boy advance, then the sp which you fold up and it becomes smaller therefore easier to lose. And NOW they came out with the game boy micro. I didn't think it could get any smaller but boy was i wrong. I'm seriously gonna complain to them about inserting some sort of pager device thing in the games so you can find it. I wonder if anyone else agrees? I'm not the only one losing these games. ALOT of people are. And Nintendo is wondering why they aren't getting more business than they thought they would.

Sounds to me just like you have to take better care of things. The GCN games for example should either be in the console, or in their full size boxes. If you leave them lying around all over the place, then you increase the chances of them getting lost.
I've never lost a GCN, GBA or DS game so it sounds more like carelessness than anything else. Its just a matter of keeping them safe.

I've never had a problem losing games really, for the most part all my games are always in cases or in the actual console. Its just the instructions that always seem to disappear...
As far as I know the GBA has been the most popular handheld pretty much since it was released, short of the original GB. MAkes sense to me to milk as much cash as possible out of it while they still can, until the time its made obsolete by the next GBA.
Nintendo fan as I am, its more down to Sony and Microsoft releasing consoles that people want to buy. Whatever people say the PS2 is by far more popular. Of course a lot of people still hold the idea that Nintendo is a "kiddy" company, which doesn't help when you're trying to attract customers...

First, Nintendo actually makes their systems for the Japanese market. And in Japan, it really counts how big a videogame console is. That's one of the tonn of reasons why Xbox isn't, and why Xbox360 will be not successful in that country (besides its totally forgetable game lineup for Japanese gamers. Master Chief-san? Oh my...). OMG WTF DINNNING TABLE?You also can count the whole size changing thing as the effect of technical improvements. Second, like Bry said, it really depends on how a person can take care of his or her stuff as well. I haven't lost any of my DS, GBA, or GCN games... believe me, I have got a 'few' of these things And the DS is rather "too big" than "too small", in my opinion. GameBoy Micro is the one what you really can call a handheld console, actually. Small n sexay D:

lol.
Its also a bit of a gadget thing. As well as other reasons.
The GCN discs were smaller for 3 reasons. 1) Shorter loading times, one of the great things about the GCN 2) Nintendo believed about 1.5gb was more than enough space. 3) It made the discs harder to copy. Nintendo have actually made as much profit as Sony out of the GCN because PS2 games are pirated like crazy. Gamecube has managed to avoid almost all of that.
Anyway, the gadget thing. Nintendo are trying to appeal to older gamers, you just have to look at the DS styling and logo to see that. It wants to tap into the 18-30 market of gadget freaks who will buy almost anything technical that looks cool and for that kind of thing, small is god. Just like mobile phones and stuff. The smaller it is with the more flashing lights, the cooler it is.

Actually these stuff are supposed to be taken care of, I actually take care of these too well *sees his DS covered in soft cloth* What? anyways Nintendo always keeps getting smaller versions of their consoles, in fact it wouldn't suprise me that they're actually would make a new smaller more compact version of the DS.

Hahah, I'll admit -- ever since the GameBoy Color, I've kept all my handhelds in these luxuriously large and soft black socks, even within an official carrying-case. I was always so horribly anal about the screens, hehe... I was mightilly happy with the advent of the SP and DS's, closable screens.
At least nowthat I have a DS, I'll feel okay in using my GameBoy Advance for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.

I just wish that Nintendo would bring back the cartridge cases that used to come with the old GB games :\ Boxes inevitably get lost, and these DS cases are too big to be practical to carry around, really. I've taken to keeping games in an old Tic-Tac box

You knowwhat would probably work well? Y'know those little listerine breath strips? You could probably use one of those cases to hold a DS game in. TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! ! Just buy a whole bunch!

I'm afraid its already much worse, though more because of Panasonic. For those who don't know, Panasonic make the GCN discs and developed the SD card. Nintendo chose to use a special version of the SD card for the Nintendo DS that was physically slightly different to stop people copying games onto SD cards. Since then Panasonic have developed the mini-SD card and now, the micro-SD card This picture is to scale. The SD card on the left is the same size as a DS game.
