I think this X vs. PS vs. Cube thing is getting old a bit, but anyway. Personally, I prefer GameCube (NOT because its own Mario army), but I also like a lot of games on PS2, and a few ones on Xbox. On GameCube, I totally fell in love with Metroid Prime, Legend of Zelda Wind Waker and killer7 (the last one is a multiplatform title, though), but I like Super Mario Sunshine and Smash Bros Melee as well. I'm looking forward to Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess now, I believe it will be a great game, and a great closing for a great console. In general, Nintendo makes the most enjoyable games in the whole industry and that makes Cube and other N consoles / handhelds so special, in my opinion. In the other hand, there is Sony's PlayStation 2, with a tonn -literally- of friggin good games, due to its 3rd party developer wagon self. MGS, Gran Turismo, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Armored Core, Rez, Kuri Kuri Mix, few dozen of J-Rpgs, etc, etc, etc. Now, I totally want to buy a slim PS2, which actually works, and isn't broken. ;P And there is an... Xbox, yeah, with winning SEGA titles and multiplatform ports. Oh, and Halo (which I don't really like, but seems other people in the world do... can't understand them ). Actually, the only games I like on the eggzboggz are Jet Set Radio Future and Outrun 2, and maybe Crazy Taxi 3, but I've never played it yet, so I can only guess its quality from the elder pieces of the franchise. Better luck next time, MS. D:

Gamecube all the way because..... 1: Pokemon games that are not for gameboy can be played on it. ^^ 2: It has great games that I believe is better than for any other system. 3: It's a cube ^^ *bricked*

I thinkt hese discussions are old and lame and make no sense anyway. It usually comes down to fanboys bickering back and forth about why their console is better, I happen to like all three, thank you, and have been wanting a PS2 for the longest time, seeing as it has so many sweeet sweeeeet RPGs...*drool* And XBox has some nice multiplayer games, I can't stand the single-player games on it (just me, I guess.)

All three systems have their personal quirks and kicks. They all have something original from the other, and something that is their own. Games on each differ as Gar also pointed out for the PS2 and such. Most of the PS2 games focus upon the factors of RPG's and I've seen so many Third Person Shooters on those systems as well. The Gamecube has been known for its platformers as well as others, and the Xbox is known for its FPS and other attempts at things. Each system has a variety of each genre, and some say that some consoles master theirs while others personally don't. I focus more on the publisher of the game rather than the console itself, it hasn't been until lately that these systems have come with Music, DVD, and Ripping qualities. Now that they can, you can look into the system aspect.
The PS2 has always been a household item or so it seems. So many of them are fluently owned and played as to the other systems. The games I favor on it or as well the multiplitude of RPG's, some are good and others are bad. Yet, they never seem to go wrong with the RPG's on that system. It has good trilogy games as well, and many of the sequels on the system go well. An issue may point out with the PS2 is the fact it releases quantity not quality which is true. There must be a full wall of PS2 games at one of your local game stores, yet when you search through the titles you likely won't know half of them and only recognize a quarter. Other than that, there haven't been few issues with the PS2 revolving around the notorious blue disk and the inability to read them. Yet, this system has many good qualities around its main genre of games and style.
The Gamecube itself was a system I always eyed yet never obtained. It's cube shape makes it easy to place, and its small games can sometimes be hassle or a grand thing to save space. Some weren't happy with the first release without DVD players for it. I am not sure if it has a DVD player now or not, I feel out of watching after awhile. It's platformers were well known, and have been for some time. Nintendo has always been a god at the games it makes. It's always been a leader in the corporation with the other old heads. It's nearly the senior of the pack, known for its classics. It also comes packed with Zelda, you can't go wrong with Zelda. It's controller has always been easy to use, yet they get smaller and smaller and now it seems more complicated. Yet in a place where big space is rare, small things come in handy. In some opinions the Gamecube had the best graphics out of all three systems, but its not the graphics that make the game. It's the gameplay, and Nintendo has never fallen short of that. They come out with a multiplitude of games that will keep you busy for who knows how long. Just look at ToS, it's those kind that keep you coming back for more.
The Xbox has always been kicked around, and really heavily by the other systems. Yet from personal play of it, it's a good system like the other two. It's certainly not better, but its equal. It has some great titles on it, and it can't work off classics. Many people bite at it for that... well they're new, so unfortuantly they can't work off older games that they don't own. Thus you get things like Halo and such, and those games can be quite fun. It is one of the systems with a successful online system that works like a charm. It's bulky outlook can be a downside for many, as well as its bulky controllers. Yet, in total the system is easily placed and the controller can be learned. Many say it hurts there hands, and this makes me wonder.... is the newer generations hands getting smaller, or have they become glued to the other systems controllers? It's not hard, it just takes some time and you can get it down.
I agree with Gar upon the matter of each system being easily liked the same. None of them are better than each other, they're all nearly the same. They have their genres, they have their good sides, they have their flaws. These discussions come over again and again, and as stated some battle always begins. (also keep in mind, it's a question asked in a nintendo characters fan based forum. Theres always going to be a multiple amount of opinions, but which would you think would win. If I placed this question in a Halo forum, who would you think would win?)
