Just curious to what everyone is after. I just am interested in all the stuff that the next generation could do. I know that the PS3 will probably be the better choice but I want to hear everyone elses opinions first on what their after. I think the reason everyone wants to get a Xbox 360 is because of Halo and while it is an okay game I don't think its worth getting Halo just for the price of 500 dollars. Personally I hope this topic reaches big and fully convinces people what they really want.

This is more suited to the General Gaming board.
Shazam! And there it goes.
In any case I'm holding out for the Revo, purely because that doesn't looks like its going to be rehashes of the current gen games with more anti-aliasing and motion blur...

I'm probably aiming for the revo cause I would like to see their new way of revolutionizing (does that word even exist? XD) the games and stuff, the 360 is good and the graphics are pretty nice, what I dislike is that they're making you pay to play some online games, and I really don't know what's up with the Playstation 3 coming into 2007

I think I'm basically out of the running for consoles these days, however if I had to choose I'd go with the revolution. So much more cheesy one-liner potential.
I'm not a big fan of the PS3. Even though it is going to have Armored Core... with the price set so high one might as well by a full fledged computer.

I'm not sure that many people who have seen the PS3 are keen on its new Banana Shock controller. As far as I know they're still in the process of changing it, at least.

Revo- I'm looking forward for this one. The controllor might been weird to handle. I heard rumors you have to pay for downloading games.
Xbox 360- I like to buy this one, good games, nice graphics. But few things that stop me from buying is that the price is a bit high for me. And you have to pay extra for online fee.
PS3- I know this is must-have choice, so this one is on my list. Thats all I have to say XD

PS3 is the one for me. I love the pics I've seen of it, really sleak and cool looking. The controller doesn't look bad at all, I think it'll be more comfortable than the old ones. It seems to be better then some weird remote control thingy. Don't get me wrong, the Revo is on my list, but I don't want it anywhere near as much as I want a PS3.

Out of the mainstream of curiosity, all three systems that are coming out of late seem to have their own quirks.
Systems such as the Revolution have beheld their myths of what is to arrive in the coming days. Their control and their system outlook is something new that hasn't really been opened up before. That and it's the Nintendo which means the system itself will work off the roots. Also giving one the ability to play the older games that surrounded the legacy of what this company once was. So, that gives even more to the gamers who remember what once was there. However, easily it seems that the majority of gamers who adored Nintendo's powerhouse have already gotten their hands on the, "Emulators" of the century. Yet, the Revolution will also be crossing new lines into the border of online play. Unlike the first Gamecube which allowed it, but in a must peculiar way. Revolution will try, or so seemed, to master this service higher than the Xbox has. But, one can imagine Nintendo not being one to dance within the online era, merely because they are more focused on gameplay rather than anything else.
The Playstation 3 is likely that misfit in the group. It's been talked about, but never really proven. With their new additions of technology they have a lot to give. Prices are always on the bounce, that and the games are said to be sold diffrently than the other systems. As long as it's taking them one has to wonder how this will all turn out in the end. But if pricing was your negative factor on the 360, then you're going to be out of luck for the PS3. It's smooth looking body and nice slim-fit controller really give off an atmosphere to its futuristic touch. Because of that, one can feel right at peace with it. It seems, that some of the release games aren't quite popular titles. Yet, when it comes to any release set of games for a system, there is one thing to always keep in mind. While a system might have its first set of games, they never amount to whats going to come in the future. Every company has their own presents set up and stored on their levels.
When it comes to the Xbox 360, it always boils down to someone crying about how expensive it is. Thus, they hate it because they can't get to it. Which is true, the Xbox 360 is expensive, but likely won't out do what your PS3 friend has in store. Focusing on Graphics, all three systems master these. It's hard to compare at this time because the other two have yet to be released. However, the Xbox 360 takes a hold with its online area. It's not totally based on the games, a lot of it also works in the field of their online criteria. Out of any of the consoles they are the only one that has it under control. From what's seen, none of the games make you pay to play online. And, even for the Revolution they will do that to from time to time. You can't have an online source unless you pay for the service. Of course though, if you're hoping to play an RPG online, it's going to cost you money. There is a diffrence there between FPS's and RPG's; each undergo their own steps of change. RPG's are constanly updated for your convience while FPS's sit in the dark and might get updated every so often.
All three systems have their own specialties and positive lights. Each is diffrent in its own way with its own genre of game. Some have called the Revolution with kiddy games as so with the Gamecube. However, both have never had kiddy games; they also expand into new areas. Likely with this big press of which game is master, Nintendo will try for something big as will the PS3. Strange enough, Halo 3 comes out the day of the PS3. One big folly of this whole fashion was the 360's greed of coming in first for sales. So, they pushed their services as fast as they could. In doing so, many probelms arised from the first versions. If not that, then the prices were high. Yet, such will be the same nearly for the others. You have to expect that in a next-gen console. They get closer to computers nearly each time, and you know how much those can wind up to take out of your pocket.

For me it's gotta be the Revo. I'll get a 360 in due course. Probably when it goes down in price. I'm not a fan of the playstation. Never have been. There's just something about it which is...what's the word....well i dunno. But Revo, 360

Heh. The Nintendo Wii. XD In fact that is a nice choice name. Who DOESN'T talk about it. I'll probably call it a Revo regardless. So my choice would be a Revo. Closely followed by the PS3. And as much as I don't want the 360 I have it anyway. >_< Oblivion sucks! > Also look at the date of the topic, Garuru. I can't tell if you bumped it or anything but try to stick to fairly new topics.
