I don't think it has officially been announced, but I heard that game companies have set release dates for their games in October. Going by the assumption that the companies wouldn't start selling their games before the actual system is released, one could conclude that it will be out some time in October.

I heard around late November for the release. I'll get it at Christmas, and Yoshi better be awesome in SSBB

As far as I know, Yoshi isn't in SSBB. Neither are fox, or Falco. That just makes me angry.

Well it's suppouse to come out before thanksgiving. And about the characters in SSBB, the only characters that have been said that they won't be in the game are G&W, Ice Climbers, and... I forgot the other one, but this is only a rumor that could've been started by someone's bad translating.

Apparently, a drunken Nintendo represetative spilled the release date. This could be truth or lie, but seems feasible: they say October 10th for Japan, and October 20th for the rest of the world. wiirelease.ytmnd.com/Only sort of pseudo-evidence I have.

What you said there Graedius is likely more than true, the whole release date itself for the Wii seems to be focused on late fall/early winter. If anything they want to reach the consumer market to compete with the PS3 and the Xbox 360 for Christmas sells. It's going to be a wild season, especially since all of them are finally going to be on the playing field which is worth something. However, if anything you could likely expect the date to be connected with what last years Xbox 360 release was. Usually around those months parents are getting ready to go into guilt trips with their children and buy them these presents. With it's comfortably low price and fashionably snazzy outlook, it should be a hot seller; as well as the other system in and of themselves. For once the playing ground looks pretty fair, and it's sort of hard to really put everything in a perspective. It's sort of like when the last consoles came out; if you can recall the PS2 delievered way before any others, call in the Xbox 360. As well, when the Xbox was released people complained as well on it's price, call in the PS3. So it's sort of the same thing all over again, just with a diffrent set of attitude featured on the matter. It's like exchanging bodies and places, pretty much all the pawns are in the same place for the same game.
It's great as well because it feels as if the Wii is going to be coming with some nice starting games; take for example everything you guys keep constantly talking about. With those arrivals that definetly calls on some good mixtures. Hopefully, they'll remember to keep the idea of selling games with the consoles themselves. Pretty much this Christmas Market is going to be something large; all three of the "Big Guys" will be out and competing. That's the only bad thing about this whole wrap up. Sort of brings on that song, "Why can't we be friends?". Personally it doesn't matter if Samus could woop the Master Chiefs butt, in all actuality what matters is that people play the games and enjoy themselves. Smack talk on either end just ruins the whole amusment of getting to enjoy what you love. As well, one thing many will wish for is the fact that none of these consoles bust on them. Sure sure, every single system starts out with a few bugs; but it's something that you'd rather not see happen to yourself as you open them on Christmas day.
Every system seems to be offering wonderful gameplay and great atmosphere for its players. Since this is of course a Nintendo based Fan board for Yoshi, it's obvious enough as to what system the majority will own. However, in a full canvas of reality all of the consoles offer something diffrent. So the best to you in your long "little" wait for the appearing arrivals. One does hope that they don't delay or have any certain flaws here and there. As for what they have been "barking up", everything pretty much seems to connect and make a perfect sketch. Now, you can really only hope the "bark" is as good as the "bite".
