So I got a PS2 a fews ago after selling a bunch of old games I don't need.
I got Guitar Hero, Burnout Revenge, and Shadow of the Colossus so far. Problem is, I'm going to need to fill out my collection soon. So natch, not being in with the whole PS2 scene, I'm in need of some recommendations on what to buy next.
Don't mention We Love Katamari, Ico, MSG2/3, Gradius V, R-Type Final or Soul Calibur 3 because those are already on my get list.
Don't mention Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts either, because I'll ban you. OK, not really. I still don't want either of those.
I can play pretty much anything as long as it isn't an RPG full of floating numbers...

I know a few...but I don't know if you'll like them. If you want something of a higher rating...God of War and Resident Evil 4 are good. If you want something cartoon like...Ratchet and Clank and maybe Jak and Daxter Series.
That's mostly I know. I may have made the wrong choice since the only PS2 game I own is "Megaman X Collection."

One of the games in the Dynasty Warriors series (If you have someone playing with you), but only one, since all of them in the series are practically the same XD.

The 3 original Spyro games. Not the ones from after Insomniac gave the franchise to Universal Vivendi. PS1 titles, but still damn good in my humble opinion. The Ratchet and Clank series is pretty good too.
Not sure if you know already, but for PS1 titles, you need a PS1 memory card. PS1 games will not see a PS2 memory card, although, in the browser menus with no CD inserted, you can copy from PS1 card to PS2 card, and this is especially useful since 1Mb often isn't enough.

If you like racing games, I'd recommend Gran Turismo 4. That game is way better than any other racing game I've played in terms of realness. Other than racing games, I also highly recommend the Medal of Honor series. The newest one, European Assault, is pretty fun to play and is by no means easy (that is if you don't put it on the easy difficulty setting).

Preence Uf Payrsha! No, no, Prine Of Persia. The first one, pretty good, the second one, harder but much better, and the third...? I don't know yet, but it looks dayng good. XD Uh. Uh. Uh. LOLZ KINGDUM HARTZ. No, not really. XD Ratchet and Clank is very fun. I just like blowing the crap outta things. The Jak series, too--they just got better as they moved along. They took a big leap from the Precursor Legacy to Jak 2. XD

if you like burnout revenge then you're gonna love fall out 2!! you can crash your car and catapult your driver out the windscreen! i'd also recommend sos final escape; bacically you're a survivor of a big earth quake in a city on a man made island, and you gotta get off, it before it completely collapses into the ocean. BUT there's a twist....... O.O

if you like burnout revenge then you're gonna love fall out 2!! you can crash your car and catapult your driver out the windscreen! You mean "Flatout 2", right? XD My brother wants that for his Xbox. As for PS2 games... the ones that I have and love you've either already shunned or it's on your list, so I don't have much to recommend. I do agree with PFY, though. The PS1 Spyro games are pretty awesome. My favorites would have to be the original and the third one, "Year of the Dragon." And if you like Guitar Hero (XD), maybe you can get a DDR game or two. They're... sorta the same, except you use your feet instead of your fingers. And the music's way different.

If you like Megaman by any chance. Megaman Anniversary Collection is one to play, it's a little better if you play it on the PS2 than the GC, since the Jump and Shoot Buttons are mixed(A-Shoot, B-Jump). As I said I had above, Megaman X Collection is also a good one since it has Megaman X - Megaman X6, they're both tough to play. I still haven't beat X1, X2, TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! !, or X4 yet, lol.
I would also recommend Psyconauts, it's really good and fun, but I haven't played it yet.
