November 19th, 2006 -- I waited in front of Wal-Mart since four in the morning along with a handful of others to get this blasted thing... being in a small farm town, it wasn't anything too extreme -- but no less, it was a fun experience. (With many friends!)

So now I finally got this silly thing... spent most of my day toying with it's neat functions and playing Zelda. This console surely has a lot of potential in it's near future...


So!

Anyone else who's proud of being a big loser and wants to show off just how much of a loser they are (like me Double-scoop ice cream) can use this thread to show off nonsensical pictures of themselves parading about with their new toy, or tell of early use experiences.

(I'm just proud of myself for getting something new the day it came out.)

No photos or anything, but I got my Wii! I waited for about 18 hours in line on Saturday in front of my local Best Buy,a nd the time leading up to it was really fun, but the management messed everything up in the last 20 minutes.. I got my Wii, but they ran out of nunchuks and classic controllers before I could get them, despite that I was fifth in line..

Last time I'm headed there to buy anything for a good while

At any rate, it's fun! The menus are very easy to navigate, the games play well, and the Virtual Console emulation works amazingly well =3 I think Mario 64 even runs better than it used to o.o

But yes, it was definitely worth the wait! It's also fun being able to send friends messages once you exchange friend codes ^^

All you guys from other countries, stay strong! You'll get your own soon

I waited in line for 9 hours at a small town Wal-Mart. When I arrived, I was number 8 with 20 consoles in stock. By 9 pm that night, I had dropped all the way to 4, some how. At 11:30 pm, only 16/20 consoles had been claimed. Makes me a little sad that I waited in line so long, but it was an interesting experience.

I was a little worried about the controller, but it all feels so natural now. I absolutely love it. As for the games, well I was only able to pick up TP for the time being, but that was enough. I am so addicted to this Zelda game, and being the wuff....TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! !;;

As for Wii sports, that game is quite entertaining as well. I had two friends over the other day, and we had a great time. In fact, I was just playing Wii sports for the past hour or so with another friend (we had a golf and bowling tournament XD). Everyone I have showed it to so far has loved it, and I think it was totally worth standing in line for 9 hours, and I can't wait to see what else comes for this amazing system.

Got mine on launch day, as well. I've been playing Twilight Princess like a freak since. Best Zelda title ever.

But you guys are all wussies! I waited EIGHTEEN HOURS for mine and it was HORRIBLE, but so totally worth it.
