Hey all! Now that the Internet Channel trial is up and going, I thought I'd post here with it and let you all know! It seems to work great so far, and YC works fine!
To get it, just go to the Wii Ware section of the Wii Shop Channel; it's free!

Hmm... interesting. I've yet to get a Wii, but when I do, I might try the Internet Channel. I can't imagine it being real practical because my main computer is in the same room, but it'd be worth a test drive. It'd be cool if, say, there could be user-made sites tailored to the Wii, and have special user-made downloads only for Wii games and the like. It would seem as if Nintendo is creating all these channels with game functionality in mind. Who knows? Maybe something like this could actually happen.
By the way, how long did it take to type out that message?

That would honestly be quite cool if people could design things specifically for the Wii, or offer good downloadable content.. I'm not sure what the download functionality of the browser will be, as what's currently out is a beta, but we'll have to see what happens in March when the full version is out
As for the message, it took probably somewhere around 5 minutes.. Maybe a little less ^^'; It's slower than using a standard keyboard, but it's better than typing on the PSP; it's pretty easy when you get used to it, plus it offers both a full keyboard and a cellphone keypad as options, so you can use whichever makes more sense to you.. Not the best, but not bad either
