So, yeah, next game I'm buying for the DS is one of those. I know you can make tracks and everything in Diddy Kong Racing, but can you do all that in MK?

DKR's really a step down from its N64 predecessor, but there are some good features. Though having to unlock some upgrades just to win some boss challenges isn't really my cup of tea (starting out, the hovercraft is a pain to handle, for example). Don't get me wrong however, that game is still pretty fun XD
MKDS of course doesn't have a track editor or anything, but it has plenty of cool new tracks and some that bring back memories of other Mario Karts. I actually prefer Mario Kart DS myself, so if I were you, I'd choose that, but eh, whatever

Mario Kart all the way up. If you don't like it, just blame your parents.

I heard DKR DS has more than its share of stupid stuff, like the game was over DS-ized (mic blowing, anyone? So 2005), as well as hovercraft handling being just plain bad. They also trashed the Pirate Lagoon music. D:
On the other hand, Mario Kart's Wi-Fi is pretty unplayable unless you're a pro snaker.

Does anyone even use the Wi-Fi any more? I always end up getting disconnected because it couldn't find enough players, even worldwide.
I saw my cousin playing DKR DS, and I decided I much more preferred the regularity of Mario Kart DS, haha. The controls look... better, although I can't be sure because I haven't personally played Diddy Kong Racing DS. But... if it's anything like the N64 version, then I'd think it would be a terrible DS game as far as controls go. You just need a stick to perform all those fancy manuevers in DKR...

Thanks guys. I bought MKDS and I'm enjoying it so far. ^^ I spent at least an hour adding everyone, but it seems noone is ever on. Oh well' it's fun either way. Haven't been this satisfied with a game since the time I bought Tales of Symphonia.
