Hyundai Super Comboy (현대 슈퍼 컴보이). Does anybody here have any earthly idea what this is? It's really baffling me, and I can find only so much information on it.
Here are some commercials:
I find it very interesting and strange looking at the amount of royalties used in the first commercial. Watching Street Fighters dance with Tiny Toons and Mario characters? Not to mention that's probably the closest thing we'll ever get to Nintendo-approved Yoshi feet (seen as they're all singing together at the beginning, Yoshi is barefoot for some reason).
At any rate, the only thing I know about it is that it's essentially the same thing to the Super Nintendo (Hyundai Comboy 현대 컴보이 being the Korean equivalent to the original NES). It was distributed through Hyundai Electronics in order to bypass the boycott of Japanese imports in Korea. So apparently they did have their share of Nintendo back in the day, but the word "Nintendo" was virtually unheard of.
Now only if I can find some Super Comboy ROMs somewhere...

That first commercial was preeetty interesting. Seeing all those different characters come together and dance, pretty entertaining. =p
For the actual console, I dunno. I guess it's just a Korean version of the NES.

This is a hyundai. Right? They make cars not videogames. What a jolly good zing to say.

Who said they had to be limited to cars?
Look at other car companies such as Mitsubishi, they also make electronics like television sets and computer monitors under their core member Mitsubishi Electronics.

I've seen this somewhere before. It looks oddly familiar. My cousin bought a strange controller like that awhile back.
