That's very... interesting. I'll have to see how this one comes out. I really hope they pick up new voice actors for this or something. If it has any really old characters in it I'm getting it no matter what, though. XD

I thought Sonic was about speeding through levels, not standing still and dealing point damage to static enemies. Sonic the Hedgehog and RPGs don't really combine in a relevant way. I've also pretty much lost faith in the Sonic universe ever since Sonic2K6 came out. So, yeah. I'll just wait until more information becomes available, and I see that it actually has some merit to it.

I dunno Blitzz, if they can give it a good story then it might be better than other recent games, especially if Bioware is making it ^^'; The only thing I'm wondering about is if it'll be more like other Western RPGs, like the ones that they've put out, however as it's Sonic I doubt that will be a problem, plus that's a more personal matter to me than something against Bioware
Anyway, here's to hoping

This way they get to add even more characters to the cluttered up cast and put in even more superpowers.
Maybe the fight they have will be so epic that in the end they make it so the story never happened!

I don't know, you have to keep in mind the developer. Bioware is pretty legendary for their RPGs, so who knows, the game itself could turn out well even though it isn't so true to what Sonic was made for.

I'm defending Bioware not Sonic.

A bit of a surprise coming from you, Blood. He's talking about the possibility that Bioware can turn even a steaming pile of cashcow like Sonic into gold. Bioware is the shiznit.

Bioware's been known for great RPGs, as has been said countless times already, plus a Sonic RPG may actually be executed fairly well. I was skeptical about Pokemon taking a twist and going Mystery Dungeon, same with Final Fantasy going Kart Racer (Chocobo Racing anyone?), but was pleasantly surprised with the results of both.
All we can do is see -- it may surprise us.

Even if they have some of the best people in the industry, I still have some sense of doubt about how well it will work out. Maybe I'm just so cheesed off at what became of the Sonic universe, though you never know...

But see, Blitzz, the games that have been doing the worst in the series, ironically, have been done by Sega's main team for Sonic.. Tho I think Shadow was done by, like, an offshoot USA team or something...
Regardless, if Sega gives Bioware enough freedom to actually do what they want with the game, then perhaps we'll have a good title on our hands, you know? I read an interview with at least one of the guys at Bioware and it sounded more like they were actually fans of the real Sonic, so perhaps they'll do something more in-tune with that, instead of the random stuff that Sega's been doing as of late
What really needs to happen is that they need to be true to "Sonic" as a whole instead of just as a brand, like Sega's been doing
As a bit of a change in question, I wonder what game mechanics they'll have in place? Will it be that whole turn-based-made-real-time stuff like they've done in the past, or will we have real-time, fast-paced battles where you can actually use speed to your advantage? What will the health systems be like? We'll have to see what happens

Sorry if I'm bumping this, but I HAD to reply.
Alright, I'm a Die-Hard Sonic Fan (trust me, I never say anything negative about Sonic since he's my top favorite series, unlike others. >:3), though, I do admit, I am a bit skeptical about the idea. I don't have no clue on who the heck is Bioware, except that they made Jade Empire, and since it's a XBox game, chances of me playing it is very slim (I don't like Mircosoft's XBox and XBox 360, so...yeah), but I heard it got some good scores. So, he has a good chance of a good game.
Well, Sonic is about Speed and Adventure, but maybe a RPG would be good. I mean, since Mario and go to Adventure, to Racing, to Golf, and other stuff, Sonic shouldn't have much of a problem in my opinion. It won't be until next year anyway, so this should be pretty good. To some, I bet it would make the Sonic series better, but like I said, I'm a Die-Hard Sonic Fan, so...I like all the games.
...Please don't kill me.
