I'm not sure how true it is, but I saw it in a caption regarding LoZ: PH in EGM.
Here's their exact words--
"Zelda series Director Eiji Aonuma recently stated in an interview that he'd be down to do a remake of the SNES classic Link to the Past in 3D. OK, do it!"
If Mr. Aonuma said it, that's good enough for me. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm more anxious to see my favorite Zelda game of all time be made into full 3D than I am about Brawl. Whether it will be on the DS or the Wii, I'm not sure of. Personally I think since it's a port, it'll be on the DS. Who knows though with Nintendo? They sure are full of surprises~ Either way, I'll be happy.
I would have been more surprised if they hadn't been remaking FF III and IV in the same manner. Not too long ago, I was talking to a friend saying, "You know, I think it's totally possible for Nintendo to port ALttP in 3D since Final Fantasy III has and IV is on the way." And look what's happening? This kind of thing seems to happen to me a lot. It actually happened when I was talking with someone about how awesome it would be for another SSB to come out, and a week later, bam.
I can only hope they release it when I don't have school so I can devote as much time to it as possible. Oh well, I'm not complaining. Just thought I'd tell you guys because I love you so much. =P
...and because noone I know really cares for Nintendo games. =|
Freakin' losers.

Sorry to burst your bubble, Kara, but the last ever GCN game licensed by Nintendo was already made. Its name? Zelda: Twilight Princess.
Unless they make it like Twilight Princess, I doubt Nintendo will have that baby on the Wii. Maybe as a download from the Wii Shop Channel? Who knows. As delighted I am to hear that this is coming out in 3D, I'd rather see OOT or MM on my DS. Holy cow I wouldn't ever put down the thing if that was the case.

Yep. Dreaming sure is a possibility. I'd like to see more titles for the GCN myself (even though I already own a Wii.) Or, at least titles that are game cube controller compatible X,x.

I grew up with that, played it religiously in the day, and still do today with speedruns. If this ever sees the light of day, I will not see the light of day for a few consecutive days after I get it ;3

Have you played through twilight princess on the wii? I wouldn't draw any conclusions until you have. After a while of playing it, it will feel so incredibly natural and even relaxing. I was resting my arms on the side of my chair while playing, not even noticing that this wasn't previously possible with game controllers. Anyway, I'm can't help but be a little skeptical on this. Exactly where in this EGM did it say this? But if it is true, then I wonder if it will have any wifi capabilities. Hmm...
