I guess I don't like laser's either...to move right, you need to veer the mouse right, pick it up, put it to your left, place it down, and make it veer right again...then it goes too far and you have to repeat or modify a step...ARGH! Annoying...small, but annoying...not anymore though that those touch pad mouses...

agreed. Laser-mouses is crap if it isn't double-lasers on em'. But the are way mush more expensive =[ so I continue with ma ol' mouse that I had before the latest 2 laser-mouses I buyed.

I'm afraid a lot of the complaints here arised from improper mouse configurations... Check your mouse's properties in windows control panel.
One problem (mouse not able to make a true diagonal line, only a zig-zag) is probably due to the mouse being configured to go faster than its dpi can allow (problem: mouse with low dpi). This means that the mouse moves a minimum of 2 pixels at a time in any direction, thus the zig-zag look of the diagonal lines it produces. My old 2001 HP laser mouse did this, although I could still draw (in fact all of the drawings I have made directly on my PC since 2001 have been made with this laser mouse, though I sometimes reduced the speed to 1 pixel at a time temporarily to make it easier to work with). My HP laser mouse has a dpi that is too low to be comfortably fast under 1024x768 resolution, so when I switched from 800x600 to 1024x768, I had to configure the mouse to move faster, and that's when the problem started.
That's just probably that the mouse is configured to go too fast/too slow.
Another thing that will cause problems to those drawing with a mouse (any mouse) is the "enhance pointer precision" option in the mouse settings. This makes it VERY hard to draw circles and other irregular shapes because it tends to draw straight lines when you move the mouse too slowly, even if you're not really going straight.

I don't have talent to draw in the computer, I tried, and yeah, I'm not too bad, but I prefer to draw in a paper the only problem is, THIS SCANNER ISN'T WORKING!! T.T

Well, now that I really think about it, laser mice, to me, are harder to control than normal trackball mice. My trackball mouse doesn't give me TOO many problems.
