Writer's Struggle

Here's to my lack of inspiration to write! (I don't want to impose anything, but maybe there should be a Poetry section in the future, I wouldn't want to flood the cafe with poem topics XD)

Here I am once more it seems,
Staring at the plain ceiling,
Looking for that spark, my creative dreams,
Yet nothing comes to me, harsh and saddening.

I think of all the good times,
Where my imagination flowed freely,
Writing as easily as making these rhymes,
It all just seems like a vague memory.

My thoughts keep rolling along,
Recalling the once thriving individual,
Now as helpless as a singer without a song,
Always coming short is quite dismal.

Time and time again I sigh,
Cannot seem to find the old self the author,
Yet I know it is somewhere nigh,
I dare not think it's vanished forever

Pondering if I'm too hard on the writer,
Failing so see my works like others perceive,
Maybe there is still hope about something better,
Hopefully stories and ideas I will start to weave.
