Yeah, after seeing that thread about how many messageboards people go to, I couldn't resist making a thread about how many hours people spend using their computers. Let's see how many geeks we have on this board (btw, count me as one). I can say that whenever I'm not at school, not sleeping, not at work, not eating, not taking a bath or using the restroom, and not driving... I'm always using my PC. Yus sir, there's no place like localhost for me. =D
However, I am always happy to go on a trip, for as long as it's a long one, i.e. at least a week long; But even then, I'll take my laptop with me (But I would certainly use it a lot less, being that I would be on an exciting trip and all...).
Please tell us about how many hours you use your compy every day =)

I'm on my computer 24/8. Yes, that's 8 days a week. If I'm not sleeping, doing homework, or friends not bothering me, I just sit here next to the computer. In fact, I can't even stand doing homework away from the computer, it's that bad XD, if not doing homework on the computer. I actually don't know how many hours I'm on a day. I can probably say 5-7 hours on average per school day, and the lord only knows how many on weekends XD. And whenever I'm away from home, even just at a friend's house, I get home computer sick easily . Yes, that's right. I become home computer sick BEFORE I get homesick. And you're probably wondering what I do for all those hours on the computer? Some of it is just chatting to friends, but the majority just goes simply listening to music. I can sit next to my computer for hours listening to my music, and that's about it, really. I never really play games or randomly surf the web, I just sit there listening to music, trying to put myself in a trance if possible. Heheh.

Oh boy, many, many hours, too much to count, viva el unemployedness! Basically, all my free time is at my computer, even when I end up watching TV or the sort, I check my computer screen. I usually end up at a time where near no one is online, so I take that time to read on the net (Romance of Three Kingdoms kept my up many nights and still does, just came back from reading chapter 105, heh) or writing, whether it be fanfic related, or just some poetic feeling I'm trying to express. I'm straying from the actual topic, so I'll stop ranting about that.
Long story short, free time = computer time.

Thanks to homeschooling, I am on the computer for most of my waking hours. That's about over ten hours a day... I have no friends to pester me, lost 'em all when transfering over to homeschool. Plus the ones I did have didn't seem to care enough to come over or call even after I was transfered, so I left it at that. On the computer, a good majority of my time is spent chatting to other people. And listening to my music... Provided that blasted beeping noise my computer keeps making after its been on a few hours doesn't happen. >.>;; I've managed to stay on the computer from 9 am in the morning, to 11 pm at night.

I'm on all day. Except when I'm at school or sleeping (sleeping- ewwwww). People don't like me IRL because I'm on the computer all the time. But I love going on message boards & talking to people- so I'm on all the time. *can't wait 'til summer break*

Straight 25 hours in a day, hola! XD Well, I turn of my comp when I arrive from school, and I shot it down with the bullett of justice when I go to the bed. So, usually: from 14:00 to midnight. "10 hours for why?" Mainly, the computer and internet are a way to make money for me XD When I not sit on my "work", I hang on the net... especially on forums. That form of communication is the best way to share knowledge, I think (: So I'm on message boards a lot... for an example, yesterday I did almost 100 posts on the boards of 576 Online, because there was a debate about the PSP's starter price in Europe... what - as usual - went into a "PSP vs. NDS" fanboy match. LOL (: (Mr. Mod says: I hate all flamers who ruin the entire thread with stupid off-topic comments... we call him simply "köcsögök", you can pair that word to the english word what begins with "b", and ends with "astards" XD erm...) Anyway, I like to search for interesting readings. Especially those, which contains interesting facts about videogames :Ä like the articles on n-sider.com... However, let me tell you a little suprising thing: I'm sure I can live without my computer! XD I like to ride on my bicycle, draw pointless pictures, and fold papercraft figures! (: (I did the Prince from Katamari Damacy yesterday... looks hot! XD) So rock on, nature is better than the glowing monitor!

rofl!
And yes, unemployment has it's advantages, hehe. Get up at 2pm, switch the Internet gateway on, go down have lunch, make a cup of tea, come back up (And hopefully, by this time, the Active Directory service has started fully) Log on, sign into AOhell, start up Valefor and remain on the seat for hours, until I want another cup of tea or dinner calls. I usually stay up til 4am talking to someone on Skype or messing about in poser.
Thats my normal activity. During the previous few weeks, I've been fitting garden decking and messing with laying limestone round a reletives house, so my net routine has been disturbed as of late.
So, a basic summary.
Usually, 2pm - 4am. Straight through. During that time, I will scan through no more than 20 websites unless looking for support or cheats for a game. I tend to stick around the Yoshi forums, and messing about in poser or bryce.

It varies greatly, depending on Weather, Lacrosse season and school.
Most of my time, now, is spent with my good 'ol obsolete CPU. I don't measure time that much, but it's around 5 hours.
Most of it is spent multitasking.

*glances at above posts*
Heheh, seems that I spend the least time on the compy on weekdays. XD I usually spend 4 hours (usually from 6pm to 10pm) online after school, mostly chatting and checking messages, and sometimes drawing at the same time, unless I have some school thing to go to. I spend some more time on the compy doing homework, if I have any. But on weekends, I'm online or drawing on the compy all day and night, if I'm able to.
I've become very dependent of the computer. XD Whenever we're going to a relative's house or on some trip, I always worry about whether or not the place has internet. "liek oh-em-gee do they have internet?!" And if they do, I spend most of the time on it, unless there are some other fun things to do there.

I'm on from 2pm-9pm every weekday, unless it's Wendsday, then it's 1pm-9pm. Weekends though, I'm on as long as I can!
