Yeah yeah, i'm about the only person who can't draw a yoshi here. My last attempt improved, but i need some help. If anyone has any tips on drawing yoshi, please tell me them. I need to work on coloring and posture a lot. Also, what are the steps to drawing a yoshi (or not just a yoshi, anything in general). Do you draw it on paper first, and then scan it, and then color it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I do all mine completely by hand. I usually start with the nose and work of from there, but I'm not sure how everyone else does it. I pretty much keep redrawing the shape of the body in soft lines until I like what I see, and then trace it darker.

I do mine by hand too, as you can plainly see by looking at some of my art.I always start with the left or right eye, depending on which way he is facing. (Excuse the arrows, I can't draw good with a mouse) Next, I go to the nose, just like Yoshee, I use soft lines first so I can erase easier if I make a mistake.I then go to the mouth, and from the mouth I make a line going down, the neck.Aftear, I proceed with the back of the head, depending if he/she is wearing a shirt or not, after I make the neck short or long.I then make two lines of where the body, shirt is going to be. I then make the arms.I hate drawing hands, so i fosten put them in back of the body or make it a fist.Sometimes, I draw them open pretty well. But this is just me. Anyways, after making both arms, I continue with the body, and also depending if he is wearing a shirt, I either stop and put a line through the body(the shirts end), or continue with the body. After, I make the legs/pants/shorts/skirts.Easy part.If he/she is wearin something there, I,of coourse, put two pockets(unless the dressings are special), and a zipper. After I do that, I always stop at the shoes.Make a line connecting the legg(not in the middle of both leggs, in the middle of one legg), and continue making the shoes. Also, depending on who/what i'm drawing, I make wings, or special things of course. I hope this helps.^^

I draw all of my pics on paper first. Then I scan them onto my computer where I open the all mighty Paint Shop Pro 9 and summon the powerful Tablet to take care of all the rest. I outline all my stuff using the tablet and color the rest with it too. I'll try my best to describe the drawing procedure: 1. I always draw the nose first (It kinda sets up the picture). I simply draw a circle and somewhat distort it (toward where the cheek will be) to descend into the cheek. Don't forget the nostrils!!! 2. Next, I draw the cheek. This is a small circle that overlaps the other circle ( it overlaps at about the center of the small circle). This cheek circle I distort and elongate to make the mouth which just fades into the nose circle. 3. Next are the eyes. I like to draw my eyes VERY BIG. I start with the eye that is nearest to the point of view. It's just a fat oval that intersects both the cheek and the nose circles (It intersects the nose circle toward the center as is the same for the cheek circle). The farthest eye is just another fat oval that is almost exactly the same as the other one. The pupils, it just depends on where you want it to be looking. Got it? 4. A Simple step. The back of the eyes (I consider this optional b/c some people don't even do it). Just make a curvy line from the top of the nearest eye to the cheek. The spikes go on the back of this. Spike number varies. As for the body, I'm sorry, but I can't help you much there. I just draw what looks best to me. But to try... I usually draw a line extending down from the neck. It curves slightly out to make the tummy and then back in to connect to the nearest leg. The tail follows the curve of that line, after the leg, and curves back up and connects to the back. The back line connects to the rear of the neck. The legs are done similar to the way I do my eyes, so look back! Shoes are fairly easy, their mainly just ovals that connect to the leg and face a certain direction. I can't really describe my arm drawing procedure, sorry. Here's a reference for you to look at... i71.photobucket.com/albums/i132/Eddie425/Other%20Pics/PinkYoshi.jpg The only other things I specialize in drawing are furries and ships. I'm not very good with people. And one last tip to add... To help with expressions and poses, it helps quite a bit to look at yourself in a mirror.
