Inhale, exhale, never forget to repeat
For only once may your body deciet
To give up, give in that one last breath
Leading to an unsuspecting death.
Stand beside you, never losing hope
For it is to early for you to just elope
As long as you roam this Earth free
I'll stand beside you for all eternity.
Inhale, exhale, never forget to repeat
To keep the sweet sound of your heartbeat
Fighting hard, just to continue on in life
How can one deal with such strife?
Just as the pendullum rocks back and forth
Left then right, left then right thenceforth
To the left, inhale. To the right, exhale
You try once more, but to no avail.
Inhale, exhale, never forget to repeat
But some have to give in to defeat
This is where I am now, at your side
Hoping as your last minutes go by.
Inhale, exhale, repeat...
For only once may your body deciet
To give up, give in that one last breath
Leading to an unsuspecting death.
Stand beside you, never losing hope
For it is to early for you to just elope
As long as you roam this Earth free
I'll stand beside you for all eternity.
Inhale, exhale, never forget to repeat
To keep the sweet sound of your heartbeat
Fighting hard, just to continue on in life
How can one deal with such strife?
Just as the pendullum rocks back and forth
Left then right, left then right thenceforth
To the left, inhale. To the right, exhale
You try once more, but to no avail.
Inhale, exhale, never forget to repeat
But some have to give in to defeat
This is where I am now, at your side

It's official... I spend to much time looking at clocks. Just an idea that popped into my head. I'm acually a bit proud of this...
Anyway, the story line is that a girl is by her brothers bedside in a hospital. By hunch she knows that he'll die, but she doesn't know when. She counts the times he inhales, and exhales, which turns out to flow with the beat of the clock above the door. The clock is old though, and starts to slow, as does that girl's brothers heartbeat and breathing pace. The clock is almost stopped and... the poem ends. :3 How it ends though is up to you. Does he just die... or does a nurse frantically comes in to change the batteries in the clock?... Okay, I killed the moment.
