As I lay down to rest
And fall asleep
My thoughts turn to you
Oh the tears that I weep
What of this day
My thoughts build Towers
Thinking of you
At this lonely hour
How horrible I was
Something wicked I “appeared to be”
Although I’m really not
Its your thoughts, you see
My actions aren’t saviors
As I make mistakes
I’m just an innocent child
Which your heart, I presume, has already replaced
Now I lay
Writing this Note
In my mind you sail far away
With your true love on a beautiful boat
How foolish of me
To have done this to you
For you are my life
And I hoped love was true
If I could go back in time
And read you like a book
Would you take me in?
Would you have a different outlook?
The Gift I desire most
Is a smile on your face
For freedom is your deserved destiny
The perfect Love in my place
I wish I could see you
But one last time
To say “I’m sorry”
For what I did to you is much worse than a crime
I lay here and wonder, how happy you’d be, if I never entered your life, your life to be free….Loyal to you I will forever be…I love you, and I’m sorry. Are those my last words? Or am I drifting to sleep to never see the daybreak more, and never again hear the birds?
--- A heartbroken male writing to his female sweetheart, because, you know, no one could build up courage to tell them something like this to their face =P.
How Emo am I to be writing such a work D=. Comments? Critique?

Touching. You can just feel the emotion in that poem. That is an example of a A+ poem right there.
