Yeah, I did it. Sue me! D: Hey, level two came out of nowhere when level one was only at like a random 82 pages.
Anyway, on with the NEXT LEVEL OF JOURNAL...LING!
Today isn't so bad. I finally got my computer up and running, nearly everything restored. Once I get home from Fifth's house, I'll install my scanner and see what happens.
Also, another thing that kind of got me is the fact that I kind of forgot how to color in Photoshop... This worries me greatly.

It's 7:12 and I'm eating hashbrowns. Hooray.
Oh wait, I have to go to school in seven minutes. Not hooray. I predict that today will be really boring. But boring does mean new sketches... Then again, I already have a ton of unfinished sketches, too. >__>
EDIT at much later on: Cool, this computer doesn't block this forum. Spiffy. Now I can be slightly less bored in my Intro to Typin- I mean, Intro o Media class. The only irritating thing is that there are stickers over the keys, so I'm typing relatively blind.
I can feel my WPMs going up already. This class is also boring.

Yay, Level Three.
I start school again tomorrow. That is a good thing; I'm excited about this year. Not to mention that my band teacher is coming back after it was near evident that he'd be cut loose with the financial fiasco that's going on. He's quite the great teacher.
My only hope for this year is that I'm not stuck with Resource Room students who bog down the rate of learning in my classes.

My last day of freedom, school starts again tomorrow. Me and my friends are going to have a LAN party as our last act of fun before the school year starts. Now I just have to figure out how to conveniently transport a desktop PC!
Oh and yay for Level 3!

School seems to be going for the better. I'm happy for that. Also my B-day's coming soon.
Also, I'm getting a little sick to my stomach, due to the new topic in YA, I swear, it's getting on my nerves, they should just forget it. (Note: go to the "favorite quotes" to see what I said.)
I'm running into Artist Block, but I should have something by hopefully Friday to Sunday.

It seems that in our day and time; so many fail to understand the importance and emphasis that the past has given to our technology of today. We ignore the museums that we so long visit, we just sit there and seem to gape into the future. Our mouths lie open, drooling at the seams, wanting to be in some other area. Of late though, there was an interesting museum open in Indiana; known simply as the Indiana Medical Museum Of History. Yet, for itself, it is the only type of structure in the United States that is left. It was built in the heart of an Insane Asylum; it treated those that could not understand the world around them. For those days, this was an interesting idea to take on. Many autopsies and dissections took place within its walls, as well as attacks and deaths; yet the studies never stopped, and many interesting devices were introduced to aid their patients along. It's spectacular to see where Medical Science came from, and how far it's had to walk to get where it is today. It hasn't been a simple journey; things from racism, to sexist beliefs, all the way to religious morals have blocked it's doors. Letting it be nothing for quite a large amount of history. Yet through the past hundred or so years, it has made leaps; ignoring the prescence of the worries around it. Pawy has had this great love in the field of Viruses and Diseases, it's things like that; which really make it something to look into. That's a good taste to have, and it shows on that par; who knows what we would be without the knowledge we have gained in those areas. Especially today, and how we seem to walk upon these grasses.
Everyday as man evolves, so do his practices and techniques; each changes the way we work and thrive in the world around us. Few places remain to represent the fabric of the past; the Indiana Medical History Museum is no exception to this statement. This small brick building triumphantly stands today as a model to the medical practices of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. After being constructed in 1895, the tiny abode served as a laboratory for local students interested in Pathology. The structure was both run and managed by Doctor Walter Breutch; he would remain administrator until his retirement and closure of the facility. The medical center was also part of the Central State Hospital; an area enclosed in the studies of insanity and mental disorders. Unfortunately, the classes held within Central State would come to a complete halt in the year of 1956; most of which was blamed on the old techniques that had yet been updated since the buildings establishment. Even after the destruction of Central State itself, the School of Pathology still stood; a sign of hope to remember the roots of science. The Indiana Medical History Museum has been noted for being the only true unaltered structure of scientific study in the area of Pathology throughout America. With the efforts of Dr. Breutch, the building was able to maintain itself after the removal of the surrounding hospital. Every item of furniture and each piece of equipment inside of the building are originals; none of which have been removed or displaced, if only to reenact a similar setting to the days in which the school was run. Even the technology of the times still remains apparent as you walk through the museum’s hallways; old fashioned cameras and microscopes can be found throughout its rooms, each an article that once stood for the future. Taking a trip to the museum itself will open your eyes to how much medical science has changed in the last one-hundred years. A simple view of the exterior will show you the style of those days in Indiana, which seems to be placed in red brick and lined through limestone. This sight will not only teach you about the differences in technology over a period of time, but as well a change in education throughout the scientific department. Strict boundaries between men and women have been lessened, nearly as much as the hypotheses within the Pathological department. While at the museum, all visitors are taken on a personal tour covering every corner of the building from top to bottom. The first stop is usually the main classroom, which can be found in the back of the first floor. This room was used as a lecture hall to the many Indiana University students that attended the school. They could be taught anything from bacteriology, histology, and chemistry. Labs which were also held could include hand-on autopsies or mere observation; these were easily completed as the autopsy room was only a doorway away. The autopsy room itself was a small insulated area, incubated by large bricks; a very large difference from the wooden interior of the lecture hall. Autopsy’s were easily handled and dealt; usable bodies were usually obtained from a nearby freezer. If a body was donated to a dissection, the family of the former would be given a free funeral and service; this type of agreement was very rare, especially since most funerals were expensive and out of pocket. Near the opening of the building, any visitor can find themselves stumbling into the reception room. It was in this spot that Doctors would discuss their cases between themselves and with families; it could also serve as the usual waiting room. Numerous labs can be found and placed throughout the museum, each with their own individual field of study. One of the most important labs belonged in the name of Bacteriology; it was this area of science which at the time held the most ground. For in those days, it had only been a short time since Pasteur’s discovery involving viruses; this gave many Doctors the influence that even mental illnesses were caused by certain types of diseases. Due to this assumption, a large amount of experiments involved testing on living patients; however, any breakthroughs in the field of mental illness were not found at this location. Yet, they did imply the method of injecting their patients with a string of Malaria; it was in this that many believed lied a cure to Syphilis. Central State was able to keep a thirty percent accuracy rate on this theory, thus giving them the largest amount in the whole nation. Other labs inside of the building include Chemistry and Microscopically; both at the time were growing studies, and these advances are apparent in the rooms. The Chemistry lab itself shows many signs of interest, especially in the field of ones own blood sugar. It was in the year of 1919 that a new method of finding glucose levels was introduced; this process involved many hours and a large supply of patience. At times, it would even require the Doctor to take 2 milliliters of blood from their patients. When comparing that to today’s easy read-outs, it’s not too difficult to see how man has grown in knowledge. The importance of this exhibit in the name of the United States lies throughout its interior, exterior, and history. This building is the last of its kind, thus giving it a special tone, especially to America itself. In a time of large medical study, it allowed Colleges to send their students to one exact spot. Therefore ridding the problems of private education and laboratories, this gave many students one flow of advice to follow. For it’s time, it was given the highest technologies that it could; an influence on the eighteen-hundreds.

I've been going crazy with school lately. I'm getting hit with tests and quizes what feel like every day. I'm a little worried with what I might get on my World History test I took last Friday. He said the grade average was around an 82%. That worries me, I want to get a good start in that class.
As for my life other than school, I've been in a real art mood lately. I hate not being able to finish my pics over the corse of the week. The weekend is the only free time I have to spend time on that. Blegh!

I know Yonie, so far I already have, like 2 different book reports and 3 different things to reaserch, not to mention the piles of Math and ILA homework. It's like teachers don't know that 'some' people tend to have a life at home that has nothing to do with learning. D: Now I have school pretty much 7 days a week since we get tripple the homework on weekends. D: This makes Gem very sad...

Really? We're not supposed to have homework on weekends very often. *shot by Gem, I predict*
Oh noes, Level 3. Let me get a 1-Up mushroom for you D= Yay, I got the first second-page post.
I'm having mucho fun with Macromedia Fireworks so far. And I've only colored half a picture, heheh. But that half a picture is the most awesome half a picture I've ever colored. And don't get me started about my iPod, heheh. I haven't even had time to try out the other programs I got. I'm not going to complain about my computer any more until about Christmas, when I plan on getting a Wii or at least a Gamecube =D

Well... today's day was good up until the end...
My last class is PE. Fun, right? Well no, sophomores get to swim. I have no complaints there, it's all fun and games.
Class is totally weird. No one listens, and if it wasn't for the extremely respected scottish teacher, it would be chaos. She knows how to BARK!!
First day of swimming... I realize how much water isn't my element. Using those little boards and only moving with your feet, a mere lap cramped my muscles. Doing a lap with only your arms was worse... I don't know the right form on how to crawl. My legs and arms were shaking by the end. I have plenty of air left... but my muscles can't take it. I run 2 miles every day, skipping the occasional day, I thought this would be cake... I'm at the wee back of the class... and it bloody isn't fun. How do you excercise those swimming muscles... on land??
And WORSE... I forgot my towel. I was WET when I was changing. I had to use my shirt to dry myself off and my jacket to keep the shirt and suit from wetting stuff. There's also no changing room... it's advised to come there in your bathing suit. Forgot that too... a good time to use the restroom...
I was poofed enough to get a jamba juice, but I had no money, and my brother lent me money, but all he had was a 20. So now in total, I owe my brother $30 (this involves a pizza, admission to a pool, a drink, and the smoothie... but I kept the change from the smoothie).
Jamba Juice was worth it though... that's one good thing...

First day of school was a piece of cake. Most the morning was just in form rooms sorting out stuff, and we have an awesome form tutor (same as last year, puts on films in the morning and is really laid back most the time.) I'm, as always, sitting next to my mate Chad for form time. So s'all good.
First lesson was English, good ol' english, not bad first lesson, got some sheets cos no-one had their books cos it was a new timetable. Pretty easy. Then lunch, just normal lunch time goodness. Then ANOTHER form period and finally Latin, again, not too bad, I still remain the idiot in my class of 7, but s'alright, the teacher's pretty nice anyways.
I really should be getting ready for school about now, I need to be leaving in about 20 minutes, so I'll be fleeing now, torrah!
