I have. I got it earlier this month as a b-day pressie, and IMO It's really good since it's the first Pokemon game to have an RPG adventure in full 3D (instead of being completely all about constant battling like the Pokemon Stadium titles..). The game also lasts too (took me roughly 27 hours to beat the main story.. and it may take you over 10 hours replay value if you're wanting to catch all of the Shadow Pokemon). If anyone hasnt played this game but has enjoyed the GameBoy RPG games then I highly recommend it. =) For those who have it already.. please discuss your thoughts of the game here!

I got it, but I didn't like 100 things about it. 1) your main character only moves in a battle to throw a Pokéball. Don't you think he should at least show some action when he loses or when one of his Pokémnon gets wasted hard? 2) Yuki only appears in battle to tell you that there's a Shadow Pokémon. Then she totally disappears from existence. 3) Why can only she see them, anyways? 4) Why can you only catch Shadow Pokémon? If the trainers can't see them as Sahdow or not, stealing is stealing, regardless, so why not just go on a rampant theivery-fest? 5) Doesn't show battle animations for when YOU use items on your Pokémon. 6) Story mode is too bloody easy. You can beat everyone when you're 10 levels lower. Try that on the GameBoy game(s) and you'll be introduced into a world of pain and suffering. 7) Sometimes then Sahdow Pokémon that you CAN catch happens to be the one you DIDN't want to get... I.E. Later on, a person throws out a zangoose and a Miltank. Which one's shadow? The Miltank, of course. They almost always picked the suckiest Pokémon to be the Shadowed ones. (Other than the Quilava and Furret you can catch.) 8) There's no police force or law agencies anywhere? No one cares if you theif their Pokémon to crap? Even after you steal from them, a while later they'll fight you again anyways! Like, um, hello? 9) Why is MIROR B.'s name spelt WRONG, and why does he have this crappy spanish rap music when he's a blatant Disco lover? 10) Multiplayer sucks BADLY. SO MUCH MORE than in Pokémon stadiums 1 and 2. Why? You HAVE to use game data, first of all. Second of all, you have to use those annoying, tedious and stupid GBA ---> NGC game link cables if you DO have game data that's fair to fight with. (That wasn't a problem for me, but it still sucks anyways.) Thrid, you can't just pick random Pokémon from a pool of every Pokémon at level 50 or 100 or something. You can ONLY use Game data, and if you aren't using the NGc's data, you HAVE to use Ruby or Sapphire / Fire Red and Leaf Green data, as well as GBAs and Cables. Horribly stupid and crappy, compared to how it used to be abel to work. But NOOOOO, let's be big stupid Nintendo and put our stupid rip-off-of-an idea into play to make for 100% sure that the multiplayer portion of this game blows ass!

GAH! ITS WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! 1. only about 50 pkmn in total2. repetitive3. 8 hours was all it took to finish...shadow pokemon all got.4.Purifying pokemon:tedium definedi could go on with mor problems, but id probably take a whole page. what it SHOULD have is 1.a updated-looking version of a GB version, but a big adventure with lots of areas 2.all 387 pokemon (thats where it is now i think) 3. ruby and sapphire style battling there...finally let out my rage about it sorry to speak like that, its my opinion, and if anyone really likes the 3-d game i dont mind ;D omg, i actually agreed with grad on something!

I don't have this game, and now I'm wondering if I should even go out to buy it, or rent it. Two posts say its good, and two posts say it has too many things wrong with it......which is it? Should I even rent it?

i think it would be a little better if you could battle in like tall grass instead of wandering around the dessert.

1) your main character only moves in a battle to throw a Pokéball. Don't you think he should at least show some action when he loses or when one of his Pokémnon gets wasted hard?
I agree. But i'd rather see the sidekick there too.
2) Yuki only appears in battle to tell you that there's a Shadow Pokémon. Then she totally disappears from existence.
I know.
3) Why can only she see them, anyways?
I wanna know that, too!
4) Why can you only catch Shadow Pokémon? If the trainers can't see them as Sahdow or not, stealing is stealing, regardless, so why not just go on a rampant theivery-fest?
That would be fun. But if you do that, Pokemon would be more of a "go around and do whatever you want" game instead of an RPG.
5) Doesn't show battle animations for when YOU use items on your Pokémon.
Yeah! >=O
6) Story mode is too bloody easy. You can beat everyone when you're 10 levels lower. Try that on the GameBoy game(s) and you'll be introduced into a world of pain and suffering.
Acutally, I think the game differs on that. It was rather hard for me at some points.
(Other than the Quilava and Furret you can catch.)
YEAH! I hate Miltank. They must DIE.
8) There's no police force or law agencies anywhere? No one cares if you theif their Pokémon to crap? Even after you steal from them, a while later they'll fight you again anyways! Like, um, hello?
Of course there's police... o.o
9) Why is MIROR B.'s name spelt WRONG, and why does he have this crappy spanish rap music when he's a blatant Disco lover?
...XD I agree...
10) Multiplayer sucks BADLY. SO MUCH MORE than in Pokémon stadiums 1 and 2. Why? You HAVE to use game data, first of all. ...Now thats what I call a rant o.o
All I have to comment on is the fact that some of the attack graphics are just plain wrong. MAKE THE THUNDER YELLOW. BLUE MIGHT LOOK COOL, BUT YELLOW SUITS THUNDER. *rant*

I assume you can transfer Pokemon from Ruby/Sapphire/LeafGreen/FireRed.
Why not do that (Once the game is beaten)?
What's wrong with these rants about these "weak" Pokemon? Can't you try something DIFFERENT for a change? Instead of that level 100 Charizard that you had back then?

In PKMN Stadium 1 and 2, there was a pool of every Pokemon available, and they were all level 50 or 100 (I forget) and you could just pic kyour team out of that and fight Random AIs or other Human Players. Bt that functionality was removed for reasons beyond me. Maybe they didn't want people to play Multiplayer, hehe. Seriously, do you know how little people play things like that? You know Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles? I'm sure I'm among the few who's actually had the opportunity to enjoy thatgame 4-player. You all need GBAs and GBA link cables, as well as the ability to round u p4 decent people wh ocan spare time and have the interest in that game. It's difficult to do... see, that was their main point of the game, "OMG LOL U CNA PLAY 4 PLAYER OMG LOL LOL!!!!11!oneone" --- When in reality I'm sure 50%+ of people who got the game never played Multiplayer at all, and 90%+ never got to experience what the multplayer really has to offer, with 4-players, the big hype they put on. I like Ranting. Point is Nintendo was stupid when they made PKMN Colloseum's Multiplayer.

It was one of the greatest 4-player games ive ever plated, next to Zelda: Four Swords and Mario Kart: Double Dash. One of the people I was playing with kept on cursing at the screen whenever he died. The reactions on their faces are always hilarious to see...

I haven't had the chance to do 4 player, but even 3 player FF: CC is good fun.
As it happens, I've only bought one link up cable, and that was only $8. The other 2 came free with FF:CC and Poke Colloseum.
But yes, the concept of needing 4 gameboys is crazy and a lot of people miss out because of it. On the other hand I can promise you that Nintendo will have sold quite a few extra Gameboys because of this. A fair few heavy gamers will probably have a GBA and a GBA SP. I did. Though I didn't stop there, and picked up another GBA SP for cheap. And I'll admit, that was pretty much just for FF: CC and any future titles, like Four Swords.
But as I've always said, I'm a moron. Nintendo love me for it though. Having bought 4 Gamecubes (sold two of them on right away) and the 3 Gameboys.

I got that game, and it was pretty neat, but stupid potato-mind Misty clone Yuki got in the way when I walked around. Seriously, I wish I could abandon her in Miror B.'s cave! Heh, Miror B.'s funny, though. ;D Main reason I got it is to get more Pokedex files in my GBA games. Didn't have to bother to get Suicune in LeafGreen. I hate that "u can't find the runabout Legendary Wolf Thingy 'til it's seen, and how likely's THAT?!!" kinda thing, right?
