Why does everybody spell Pokémon as Pokemon. Doesn't anyone know Alt+130!!!!!!! ?

There are several reasons, one of them is similar to why people type "U" instead of "you," "4" instead of "four" and "XDDDDDDD" instead of "I can't read." It's faster.
Another reason is that the é in pokEmon has a marking that looks like an accent aigou, which is French. Now, many people understand that the French generally aren't the toughest people on the planet, and they hardly want to have weak statements.
The most common reason is that people just don't care enough to change it. To most people, Pokemon means the same thing as Pokémon, which also happens to mean the same thing as PokEmon and pocket creature-Mauser.

Chill out, oh almighty mega-fan-of-the-pocket-monsters. I used to be a really hardcore Pokemon fan(even worse than CJ, if you believe it), but geeze, this just bordering on 'I have no life' territory. It's like if I freaked out at people for calling MegaMan Megaman, it's a danged accent character, get over it. Most people are too lazy to freak out and type out four keys just for one stinking accent mark. So, in short. Do it your own way, but don't force it on others, or ah'll hafeta' get up in yo' grill, y'hear?

i do it simply because i have no time to punch in the é and that the normal e is just faster.

I type it Poke'mon, most of the time. XD I have no idea how to switch the little accents and everything.

Alt+0233 does the same thing. I always write it with an accent (but then again, how many times have I spelled Pokémon in the past year? 3 at most...)

Doesn't seem to work for me XD. Anyway, people are trying to type fast and are too lazy most of the time to put it there anyways. Besides, it looks the same, and you know what they're talking about.

yoshee, it only works if you have a numpad. you have to hold down alt, type those numbers on the numpad one at a time, then release alt and you should have an é.

Wow, man. Not many people know about the numpad and alt thing. I just learned about it a few months ago. ^^; But still. Lots of people love to type fast and don't care to put the é in pokémon. -shrug-
