That the topic says. Which Program to draw in the PC you use or prefer?! I have used the Corel Draw, but i tried now Adobe Photoshop. And i think Photoshop is more hard to make shadows, and it don't have the needed pencils or brushes.

I use Macromedia Fireworks myself...not that I draw much. XD I heard Photoshop is about the best you can get, but very hard to learn how to use.

I use Photoshop, hard to learn at first, but it's great to use once you get used to it!

The only programs I've ever used were MS Paint and Microsoft Greetings, I wish I had Photoshop though but I can manage with the programs I have now.

As a graphic designer I use both Adobe photoshop and illustrator. It depends of what I have to do..

MS Paint. Sometimes I'll use PhotoImpression, but it was made for editing photos, not art, so it's REALLY hard to use. And I don't think MS paint is that hard to use.

I have sold my soul to macromedia flash Double-scoop ice cream it's the perfect drawing program IMO with it's vectoring and SFX, I'm still learning new things with it ^^

Haven't been doing much drawing, but I tend to use Paint Shop Pro 8 for just about any graphic design. It's pretty similar to Photoshop, and it's something I was willing to actually buy for my own money (Photoshop is rather overpriced, and their home-use solution, Elements, is lacking in features). Some of Photoshop's features and tools, especially the interface, feel rather wonky after using Paint Shop Pro, however. I do wish Photoshop had realtime interpolation of images when zooming out. Plus, I'm a bit too comfortable with some of the ways that tools and filters are arranged. Somehow, I can't help but spot various flaws in Photoshop's design. Mainly, copy + paste options (I like having quick Paste as New Image, thanks), no filtering options on RGB16 (isn't that the whole point of that color mode?), and the whole thing about ImageReady and Photoshop (why not just merge the two into one program, if they're so similar?). Adding to that, horrible zoom controls (inverted scroll wheel, doesn't zoom in proper increments, doesn't always work with scroll wheel). Sure, these are all minor annoyances, but they prevent me from getting any work done. I may be forced to cope with them, however, if I decide to take any sort of course dealing with graphic design...
If I do get into using it for drawing though, I may need an alternative. I haven't really tried out Paint Shop Pro's drawing capabilities much (I've only been doing point-to-point vector shapes and pixel-art), but so far, it's not exactly comprehensive. I'm thinking I may use another program, side-by-side with Paint Shop, so that I can get both efficient drawing and editing, at the same time.

I (used to) use Macromedia Fireworks 8, but what I really need is a tablet. Then I could probably use anything and get it to turn out about five times better than what I can do with it now. I would still use Fireworks if I ever got around to inking stuff, haha. It's very tedious, going back and refilling in all the lines with the Pencil tool in Fireworks...

Photoshop, definately.
It's the one that just seems to be easiest and most effecient to do things with. I found it easy to work with and get used to, and it's very handy for the type of shading I want to do (which is mostly gradient, admittedly). I don't know -- PSP was always lacking in features for me, Corel Painter was simply more of for just using fancy brushes, and Fireworks was impossibly hard to get used to and lacking features. |D Flash and Illustrator are the programs I tend to use for linearting (Flash more of for a stylistic flair, Illustrator for a clean appearance) or Photoshop to do some godawful freehand linearting.
So yep.

I personally use Photoshop most of the time. I use it for everything. XD Photoshop's my savior for school projects. But it has those annoying bugs like resetting all my options randomly and crashing in the middle of a picture. ~_~ I've dabbled with OpenCanvas. (But I lost that activation code, so I can't use that anymore. >_>) It was a pretty cool program. But I'm too used to Photoshop. >_>;; Also, started out with MS paint. It is a pretty good basic program if you have the patience for it. I don't really. <_< I do have Macromedia Flash though. I don't really use it because I don't really know how to efficently yet... But it does do some smooth lineart.

Ok I forgot Fireworks. I think Fireworks is only to do animation, don't it? Well, i have my old Corel Draw 9. I am most used to this program, and it's more easy to work, because it have more pencil/brushes styles, and have the Pantone Colours! ;D.

I have three programs, Paint Shop Pro 9, Photoshop 7, and Open Canvas. Me? I use PSP 9 all the time. I just like it a lot more and after getting so used to it, I have no will to use Photoshop. The only thing that I really wish PSP could do is make cool looking freehand lineart, and that's where I like Photoshop more. But, on PSP, I just leave it to the pen tool and vectoring. That's fine with me. Heh, sometimes I feel like the only one out there who uses PSP over Photoshop. XD
OC? It's pretty cool. I just don't use it though. XD

I used OpenCanvas today, and it is a really good program for Mouse lineart. Yeh i don't have a tablet ( ), so i draw my arts in paper, and after i scan them, and color them in Photoshop. Making Contours in them in Photoshop is not so good, and OpenCanvas, excelent to do the work. ;D
