I shall turn the journeys of SM64DS into a story!

Please come to the castle. I baked a cake for you.

That's what was in Mario's letter. He read it at home, where he was accompanied by Luigi and Wario. Luigi was fine, but a bit of a chicken. Wario was just plain annoying.
Mario: Hmm, looks interesting. But you two are coming!
Luigi and Wario: Buh?!!
Mario: I can't leave Luigi here 'cuz he'd wreck my trophy collection.
Luigi: Would not!! But that wouldn't be bad...Wait, what am I thinking?!
Mario: And Wario can't stay 'cuz he'd loot everything.
Wario: Would not!! Man, I wonder how much cash is here...Uh, I mean, mmmm, pie...
Mario: Look, do you two want high-quality cake or not?
Luigi and Wario: *drool* Yes!

And so, the three plumbers head over to Peach's Castle, where Yoshi was ever so patient on the roof top to give a present to Mario if he ever got up there. Actually, he fell asleep. Anyways, they went inside.
... ... ...
Later on, a Lakitu from a TV station noticed that they haven't come back out. He brings Yoshi down from the rooftop and wakes him up.
Yoshi: *yawn* What? Oh, you want the 99 lives, right?
Lakitu: Yoshi, that contest was over last year.
Yoshi: Huh?! OK, what is it?
Lakitu: The Mario Bros. and Wario haven't come out yet.
Yoshi: That's odd. Better check it out.
So Yoshi heads over to the castle, but the stubborn door was locked. Lakitu went back to Yoshi.
Lakitu: You won't believe this! There's a rabbit carrying a key in its mouth!
Yoshi: Where?
Lakitu: By the hedges.
Yoshi heads over there and sees a pesky little rabbit.
Rabbit: Uh-oh!! I'm in trouble!
The rabbit tried to run, but Yoshi was too agile for it and he scarfed the rabbit into his mouth.
Rabbit: Lemme out!! I was just kidding!!!!
Yoshi: Ginnie da key or I'll shallow you!
Rabbit: OK OK OK OK OK!!!!!!!
Yoshi spits out the rabbit. In return, he gets the key to the castle. So Yoshi heads back and unlocks the door, then heads in.

Yoshi went into Peach's Castle and heard a distinctively rude voice...
Voice: Nobody home! Now scram--and don't come back! Gwa ha ha hah!!!
Yoshi:
Yoshi went over to the Toad there, who seemed a bit transparent.
Toad: Hi Yoshi! Listen, Bowser kidnapped Peach (again) and used the castle's power source--the Power Stars--and created worlds in the paintings!
Yoshi: What about the plumbers?
Toad: They went to the Bob-omb painting, in that door with the blank star on it.
Yoshi decides to go to that painting. When he enters the painting like a portal, he winds up in a big meadow that became a battlefield.
Yoshi: What just happened?!

Bob-omb Buddy: Caution, Mr. Dinosaur Guy! The evil black Bob-ombs are battling us peace-loving Bob-omb Buddies!
Yoshi: Have you seen a plumber in a red cap?
Bob-omb Buddy: We went to face Big Bob-omb, the leader. *Yoshi runs that way*...But that area's fraught with danger. FRAUGHT, I TELL YA!!! Hey, where you goin'?!!
Yoshi runs that way. He sees a Goomba charge at him. He gulped the Goomba and laid it into an egg. Then he went down to collect Coins. He then went up on the meadowy plateau to bash more enemies and get Coins, plus 2 Red Coins. Then, he saw a big mass of Goombas. He threw the egg, taking their Coins and the mass Coins caused by the egg. Up ahead, Yoshi saw a Chain Chomp trying to get free.
Yoshi: Maybe I should help him...
So Yoshi went to the stake carefully and pounded into it three times. The Chain Chomp was free! To thank Yoshi, it busted a cage for Yoshi to get a Power Star. (Stars: 1) Yoshi continued up. He took out a bunch of Bob-ombs and stole their Coins. He then crawled up a steep path to avoid the path with rolling metal balls. As heclimbed, he got a Red Coin. He ventured upwards, until he came to an opening. He stood in it, and was warped to a hole above it. Yohi then hopped up to face Big Bob-omb.
Big Bob-omb: What the?! Dun tell me Mario had backup! And really--NON-mustached backup! Tsk tsk tsk...Oh well, I'll throw Bob-ombs at you for fun!
With that, Big Bob-omb lugged a Bob-omb at Yoshi. Yoshi gulped it and spat it at the Royal Lowness. He then did so with the other two he threw.THe Big Bob-omb was dethroned.
Big Bob-omb: Curses!...But I WILL be back!!!
He warped away, dropping a Power Star. (Stars: 2)

OOC: Yoshi is still in Bob-omb Battlefield.

So Yoshi decided to look for more Red Coins. He found one in a secret compartment under the bridge to the mountain. (RC: 5) He climbed up a steep hill to get another. Then he found 2 Red Coins near the Star Marker. After that, he heard the last one in up on the floating isle.
Bob-omb Buddy: Not to worry! You helped take out Big Bob-omb, so we'll help you! I'll open all the cannons for your use!
And with that, Yoshi could use the cannon the reach the Red Coin. Then, a Star popped out of the Star Marker. But Yoshi saw that if he could go through the 5 coin rings in the sky, he could get another one! So he did so. Took a while, too. But nonetheless, he got the 2 Power Stars. (Stars: 4)
Yoshi: Hey, who's that big Koopa Troopa?
Bob-omb Buddy: Oh, he's Koopa the Quick. He's looking for Mario.
Yoshi: Meh...
Yoshi then went on a hunt for Silver Stars. He found 'em on the tree, the Chain Chomp, the meadow across the bridge, near the Red-Coin-Star's spot, and in the inventory of a Goomba. He returned to the entrance to get a Power Star. (Stars: 5)
Bob-omb Buddy: Say, where'd you find your 100th Coin again?
Yoshi: In mid-air. Why?
Bob-omb Buddy: A Secret Star unlocks when you get 100 Coins!
Yoshi:
So Yoshi shot back up there to get the Star. (Stars: 6)
Bob-omb Buddy: Oh, listen--there's a red cap somewhere...
