book 1: the curse



Afternoon Apocalypse is a tale that starts after the fall of bowser and the shadow queen, a note is that each post is a chapter and this story will probably last until I can't think of anything else. The tale starts on a boat going to Toad Town from rouge port.....


1: Good Voyage so far!

"Wow,I finally can't believe all of us managed to enough money to get to the capital of the Mushroom Kingdom!" yelled a pink goomba in a miners hat and ponytail.

"Yeah I know,I will be able to actually have a match with Gonzales,I mean,Mario!" yelled the orange Yoshi the blue Mohawk and pants.

"Keep it down,can't you see were playing Canasta!" clamored a shadow like witch with a blue and white hat,"And all we're doing really is coincidently visiting Peach and Mario". Around the witch's table were two other witches,one with pink hair and a pink N white hate,the other had yellow hair and a Yellow and white hat. The other two players were a koopa and a squeak. The koopa had a blue jacket on and a band-aid on his nose,the squeak was white with her tail curved into the shape of a heart,she was also wearing a red mask.

"OK folks,we're entering the stormiest seas on the planet, The Zoness ocean, a toxic ocean that is the exact opposite of the Aquas ocean",shouted a bomb-omb who had a sailors hat,a white 'stach,and a helm¹ sticking out of his back,"Cortez,do you see any storms up ahead",he shouted to the skeleton pirate at the bow of the ship.

"No nasty weather,amigo",the pirate said,"Even my crew see a bueno voyage,No preocuparse Bobbery". Just then a cloud lady and a female koopa came up from the phantoms ship.

"Koopie Koo,Flurrie,had a nice nap?" asked the pink goomba.

"Indeed,dearie",said Flurrie half asleep. Koopie replied with a Yawn. All of a sudden the wind started to blow faster,the toad in the crows nest shouted from above.

" 'Ay cap'in Cortez,it seems the there is a storm hea'd for 's at a veloc'ty of about a hundr'ed miles per hour",he shouted.

One of the canasta players jumped and shouted,"whoo hoo,I win". The squeak just gave the fatso a look that said "since when do you talk".

The card players(except fatty,who was still dancing)picked up their cards and left for inside the ship.

"Hey Cortez,are you sure this boat is safe,that storm looks deadly",yelled the Yoshi.

Cortez replied with,"No es preocuparse,we'll be fine"

"Kalrashi,hurry we have to get into the ship!" yelled the pink goomba.

the two ran in side the cabin hoping that bobbery and Cortez would get them to safety.

2: capsize!

The storm was raging even harder now,every one was inside including the salamanders,creatures that were once embers,to avoid the rain. Thinking of only the worst the goomba cried out, "I hope those two can get us to safety".

"Don't worry. Cortez was always dead and I'm sure Bobbery can survive,he survived before right",consoled Kalrashi.

"Yeah,Goombella, we'll get out of this", the koopa said.

"Thanks you two",goombella said. Though most were panicking it seems the canasta players went back to their game only looking up to tell the worry crew to shut up.

A loud voice came from above, "Me hearties and amigos,this mal storm seems to have gotten worse,chain every cargo down",the voice paused,"We're entering so rough waters so hang on,Amigos. Up on deck things weren't going well,the waves were bigger then the ancient boat and the toxic sludge flying on board was no help to the helmsman and the captain. those down bellow(besides the canasta players) were trying to start a conversation with the embers after finishing their job.

"so how did you guys become this salamander things?" Kalrashi asked a nearby ember.

"When the Shadow queen was in power on of the rebels against her power were an army of embers,lava-bubbles,and phantom embers. We were the only rebel to do alot of damage to the queens reign,so she cursed us into a fire ball form. When you guys defeated her ,we resumed our original form. We embers are salamanders,the bubbles were dragons,and the P embers were plant like creatures,all flaming of course".

Goombella replied,"Interesting story,betcha no one will here that anywhere else".

another ember replied, "yep,'e ha' the best tale ou'ta most creatures on Kaoh¹".just then a snapping sound was heard and the group could no longer hear the commands on deck. One of the embers looked out side and saw the ship getting dragged twords a waterspout,it appeared to him that the crew on deck was already swallowed. When he went back down. the door ripped open and every one in the cabin got sucked through,into the unknown.

chapter 3: village of the shadows

"Where am I",asked Goombella waking up in a cabin,it was sunny out side. waking up Goombella noticed a girl that looked like Vivian,but she was wearing a green and lavender dress,and her hat was green with white instead. Goombella also noticed the girl's green eyes were visible and her hair was green.

"Your up",was the first thing the girl said exposing her fang.

"Who are you and where am I!",Goombella yelled,"And where are my friends!"

"My name is Lori. Your in Drakos,city of shadows and dragons. I don't know where your friends are but Connor found those two at my door",she replied. Goombella got up and looked at the couch and saw Kalrashi and Bobbery drinking some drink. When Goombella looked at Lori again she noticed Lori had the same cup as the other two. Goombella looked back at her friends.

"Bobbery,Kalrashi,you guys are alright!",she shouted almost tackling them.

"It would appear so",uttered Bobbery unenthusiastically

"Hey,Goombella,Since we are all here, don't you think the others arrived here as well",mentioned Kalrashi.

"Yeah,your right",Goombella turned to Lori," you wouldn't happen to have seen them".

"No,no but the mayor might have. She is my sister",said Lori. The four of them left the house they were in the middle of the path that led them to the main village area when Sal and his girlfriend,amber showed up.

" 'Ey 'oombella,me novia and me found 'bit 'bout where 'e are at,an' this world is too dangerous for your 'eadbonk attack so 'e found some weapons for ye",said Sal.

"The pick ax makes a decent sword like weapon so if you face hard-shelled enemies or elementals,you can hurt them without pain,and you Kalrashi can have this pole which is said to be the first item needed for the flametounge sword",explained Amber.

" 'Ould ye like to try 'em out",requested Sal. Goombella and Kalrashi said sure at the same time. After they said that Sal vanished and in his place stood two monsters,one was a two legged metal monster with a helmet on and the second one looked like robot spiny with spider-like legs. Sal's voice came from nowhere," 'Efeat this two,'oombella take the hard croker on,Kal' take the mecha spiny on,GO".

At once the two monsters pounced forward Goombella smacked the hard croker with here pick ax causing a bit of a crack in the helm' but that made the monster angrier. Kalrashi was having an easier time because he was eating the spiny then spitting him in the air,after that he chopped the monsters stomach open making greenish goo fall out,Kalrashi did this one more time then the creature fell apart,Amber and Lori clapped at this. Kalrashi turned his attention twords Goombella,who jumped in the air and came straight down.....

the haunted mansion had a new chapter and my art was noticed so I'll give you guys a new chapter....BUT,I if I have to do a chain of fic chapters with no one in between I'll stop until a reply comes. call it selfish but I get ignored alot .

chapter 5: The mayor and a mystery

Goombella came down hard on the monster and its helmet fell off. What grossed out everyone but Kalrashi was that Goombella's pick ax was jammed into the odious
beast's head and blue blood was trickling out. the monster then got vicious and charged at Goombella,but she swung the pick back at the spot where the crokers blood source was. The resulting hit sent the monster flying back wards leaving a little blue trail. When the beast stopped moving it turned black and then disintegrated into little stars which flew away. Every one was clapping at this point, even Bobbery which was odd until she saw Bobbery's white gloved hands which she thought was hidden well.

"It seems 'ike you've got'n used to 'em a'ready,eh",said Sal reappearing.

"well,we will go now since we've done our job here",uttered Amber.

"we'll be seeing ya"shouted Kalrashi waving at the couple. the four then headed into town noticing black ,paper-thin creatures floating about. Goombella,Bobbery,and Kalrashi knew better then to open their mouths to ask about them. In about a few minutes later,Lori found the mayors mansion and ran up to the guards.

"Open up,It's me Valerie's sister. I brought some people who need the mayor's assistance",Lori said walking up to the guards. The guards nodded and opened the door. The mansion was beautiful and alot of guards were walking about the shadowy corridors.

"Hoy,Lori",shouted a person from upstairs and looked up,the others did too. upstairs was another Vivian look-a-like. This girl,who the other three figured was the mayor,had a brown and white hat,a blue shirt on with black shorts on,and had long brown hair in a pony tail with tan eyes to match.

"What do you need,sis",asked Valerie.

"My friends here are wondering if you had seen their friends",she shouted up.

"well,come on up and will talk about it there. the office was just as elegant as the foyer,and just as dark.

"So what are your friends called and what do they look like", Valerie asked.

This time Bobbery spoke up" the first one is Koops,a koopa with a light blue jacket,Vivian,a shadow siren with a pink and white hat and pink hair...."

Valerie and Lori looked at them with shock. Lori spoke up," You know the shadow sirens,Vivian,Beldam,and Marilyn."

Valerie finished,"We've seen the three of them head twords the mountains.....twords Khold Star mountains.

The three looked back in shock.

no shes not going to be the bad guy, khold star mountain is the first area,and has some mysteries to it. I put the chapter up after church


chapter 5: khold star palace

It was 30 minutes into the freezing mountain when Goombella figured why the villagers called it khold star mountain. reveiling that the two were related to the sirens,Valerie and Lori came along with the three.

"I say this mountain reminds me of Fahr outpost",said bobbery whho didn't seem to mind things at all.

"I say your crazy old man",retorted Kalrashi.

"Guys were about the the tem....",was all Lori could say before two four legged monsters and a giant blue tree with red eyes jumped out,Gommbella imediatly went to tattle mode.

"the two wolf monsters are called cackles and the tree is frostrent",she mentioned their names but didn't finish to avoid the monsters blizzard spells.

Bobbery went first and used bom-bast on all three and cooked them but a bigger cackle showed up and was immune to the blast. "Blasted monster!",bobbery yelled at it. Valerie kept using her earth spells to send it flying and Lori manipulated the wind to send it crashing into a wall. Kalrashi took his pole and slashed it across the beasts chest and Goombella finished it with a slash from her ax. the monster died just like the croker and was gone at an instant.

"whoa,I never knew we were that strong", said Goombella,suprisingly.

"Life holds many secrets",was all Bobbery said. A few more minutes into the mountain and the groop found a giant ruin. They steped inside unaware of the strange things happening and the floating,face less mask floating....watching. In another room Kalrashi noticed some hieroglyphs and begain reading before the others.

"Hey check this out it says,"This is the forbidden temple and gate between the Himylayas of Earth and the Khold mountain range of the Mushroom Kingdom",Kalrashi continued reading,"those who enter this place lose their true form and become one of the other world. the cure is a plant found only in the Amazon on Earth and the Flower fields on earth,However beware the gaurdians",Thats all it says",finished Kalrashi.

"So you guys found this place huh",said a cranky voice. the group turned around and saw three people.

Bobbery however looked at the nearby mirror and shouted, "Great Scott".

sorry I'm late but YC was being weird. Codelyoko references are going to be used because I'm obsessed but don't think much will change....though expect two new characters this chapter and the plot reveled in chapter 12

chapter 6: the eye of destruction part one


When the group turned around they saw three witches. Kalrashi however recognized them as being the shadow sirens,just as another race. "What happened to you", Kalrashi looked at the mirror,"And us for that matter?"

"It's the curse of this place okay!" shouted an annoyed Beldam.

"Yeah it is",Marilyn said shockingly,"However we found out the curse is contagious awhile ago."

"We had brought along one of those cursed with us and another we found randomly here to help find the cure",said Vivian.

"Please step in ijit's",grumbled Beldam. At that moment two people walked in,one was a girl and wore pink pants and a pink shirt and had a braided blond ponytail, she looked to be around 16. The other was a boy who wore purple clothes and a pink under shirt, he had a purple spot on his blond hair.

"My name is Odd,"said the boy. what was unusual about the boy was that looked about like a cat.

"My name happens to be Bombette. I' also under the curse",said the girl.

"Okay okay,names are settled now lets get to Flower fields,Where ever that is", said Goombella impatiently.

"Well it's in....", but before Bombette could finish two lasers shot through the room barely missing the group.

"Well look who's here,it's the reception commity",said Odd.



every one turned around and saw two cubed like monsters with six legs and four "eyes". Odd took them out quickly but more came out of a room with the same eye that is on the monsters above it. The group hightailed it out of the ruin with Odd,Vivian,and Bobbery destroying the creatures as the ran,eventually they got out but fell down into a chasm.
