It was a mellow sun set. The clouds were magnificent shades of red, yellow, and orange. The sun dripped softly behind the horizon, letting shadows fall where they might.
I was laying prone on a smooth flat rock, looking down onto a valley. Little camp fires twinkled like stars. In slowly and silently unsheathed my silver sword and crept down to the nearest camp.
Shadows played tricks on my eyes as i watched three creatures sitting at the fire. Anouther was standing over to the left. There skin was hardened gray and their eyes red.
I snuck up to the first and quickly slit his throat, then I turned to the dazzling camp fire. I drew two knives and tossed them simultaneously at the throats of two of them. I quickly lept and brought my blade apon the others head.
I flinched when i heard the crack and he fell to the ground. Anouther raced out of the tent. I quickly parried his blows then knicked him on the side. He slowed a bit, but showed no other openings. I knew my time was tickening, if we got into a long fight someone might hear us from anouther camp.
I paired anouther of his cuts, and whirled back at him with all my speed before he could parry. I did a fancy fencing move, slicing his wrist, sidestepping, maneuvering around his blade...the blade pricked his throat and he was out in a few seconds. I sheather my blade breathing heavy, sitting down to rest, searching the camp. I found what i needed and departed. I reached out and some white birds came drifting down. I tied notes to all their legs and set them on their way.
The notes were written in black ink and said:
Come to the deserted inn, come alone and prepared.
on each the was a map showing where the inn was. I watched the birds drift into black specks, then made for the inn.

I was on my way home from the last bounty I cashed in. All of a sudden, a bird comes into view. I noticed it was carrying a note, I quickly grabed it and opened the note. I read the the note. "All right! This might be interresting!" I took out my two revolvers and headed towards the inn.
"Oh yeah, almost forgot." I wrote a message to my sister saying that, it might take a while longer before I return home. I put the letter in the bird's leg. "Ok little bird, I need you to take this to my sis. Just go that way until you see the Sphinx." I sent the bird on its way, all the while, I was thinking to myself that this might take longer than what I said in the letter. Now, I was on my way to the deserted inn.

("black ink" Heh, it comes in black anyways . I almost forgot about this RP!) *Yaaaaawwwwn...* Teo got up and let out an over-exerted yawn, stretching to his fullest, licking his lips as he saw the sun starting to rise. He proceeded to muttering to himself, as there was no one around to catch him in the act. "Ah... I'm not usually up this early, but maybe if I'm fast enough, I'll catch the sunrise..." and on that note, he proceeded bare-foot through the forest, climbing the hill that would inevitably end in a cliff, as he knew very well. He got to the top and viewed the sun, not bright enough to blind him, but brilliant enough to impress a very serious critic. "Would you look at that... B-E-A-U-tiful... I bet it gets even better than this..." The wind kicked up, pushing against the yoshi as he spread his arms as the very edge of the cliff, the wind pushing him back above the crimson waves. The wind died, and Teo leaned forth much too much to recover. He jumped into the wind... As he was falling, he seemed to fade and grow, two wings sprouting, his skin shining more brilliantly against the sun than before as scales erupted, prickling every point in his skin. His limbs lengthened, and his tail came last, lengthening to over twenty feet, half his body length. His wings spread and he glided over the waves, over the rocks that would have impalled anyone else, slowly rising to the point where he could see the whole island. Ah, yoshi's island... he said looking back on it from above. It's so living... Teo went over an air current and hung there, viewing the land below as it slowly woke up to the slowly rising sun. Teo turned back to the sun, watching... mind absent of thoughts, watching it rise as he slowly flapped his wings without thought...

red was laying in a lazy field. the grass was about 3 feet high. a stalk was being chewed apon in red's mouth. he sat cross legged with his hands behind his head and his legs crossed. his numerous spell tags lay next to him. lumiere was out hunting. the sun started to get too high in the sky, and it made red squint. he got up, and staggered. he called lumiere, she was out hunting. red did a strange motion of his hand, and the spell tags that once lay on the ground a few seconds ago disappeared. red starting trotting to the forest where lumiere was busy hunting.

"C'mon, we'll get it this time, Champ!" I exclaimed, tying on my wing device. It looked somewhat like a hang-glider, but it had moveable wings that I was attempting to attack to my back. <Don't hurt yourself, Yoshee...> Champ said, helping me tie the knot around my waist. "You'll help, right?" I laughed, grey-blue eyes twinkling. <Of course.>
We headed out to a cliff, and I grabbed two of the levers in front of me and began flapping, sprinting for the edge of the cliff. "Yargh!" I shouted, throwing myself over the edge and flapping madly. I almost plowing into a small bird, but luckily, I pulled up just in time. Champ floated over to the bird, and it gave him something, then hurried off, obviously not pleased with my behavior. Champ flew over to me and held it in front of my face. "Inn, eh? Okay!" I almost forgot to flap my wings until I started dropping. "Woah!" <I'll come along.> Champ offered. "Of course." I winked, and started flapping my way over to the only deserted Inn on the island. Champ disappeared in a cloud of stars, but I knew he was right next to me the whole way.

I felt the wind whip my long dark ebony black hair. I was riding away from the rising sun. The beautiful clouds where a million shades palyed out into a deep montage. Soon I directed Celegil towards the inn. His hoofs lightly tapped the earth as he ran through a blast of wind. Soon we were at the inn and i dismuonted the silver hourse and hid him in the stables. The inn was abandoned, but still, it was in decent shape. I knocked of the boards on the door then went in. I lit the place with a few lamps then sat down.

Ah...nothing better than a nice flight... Teo thought to himself, descending towards the island at an angle of which to land on the beach which was also in front of the sunrise. He flapped his wings, gaining speed as he went down in a curve at a very fast rate. Despite the speed, he let out a lazy yawn, almost ignoring the fact he was going straight down. *Yaaa- HMP!!* alas, in the middle of his yawn, something caught in his throat and he fell straight into the water, coughing and hacking. He madly pedaled in the water until he urged a fire ball up which cleared his throat, spewing out a small bird, which he caught. The bird was the source of his near-choking accident, and it was obviously dead now. Although to its leg, was attached a message. Teo could not read it in the water, so he slowly pedaled to shore, his wings heavy with water and his body floating slightly to prevent his weight from drowning him.
As Teo got to land, he reverted back to a yoshi, and slowly grasped the burnt bird and message...
"come to the deserted inn... Oh that's specific. Must have been a code sent to someone... maybe a secret message..." but no matter which way he turned the paper, its message remained. He let out a slow stream of fire from a partial-transformation under the message, but no invisible ink appeared. Teo gave up and decided to check out every inn he could find in the vicinity and hopping they were deserted...

red reached the forest, and lumiere awaited him with a piece of paper in her mouth. "lumiere! glad to see you. whats with the paper?" lumiere hadnt told red about this. *i found it on the ground next to my prey.* she said to him. lumiere let red take the note. it was covered in droplets of blood. "what exactly was your prey?" asked red as he unfolded the paper. *Saber-tooth tiger* lumiere replyed, stretching. red observed the letter. *what does it say?* asked lumiere. "going to some inn, and be prepaired?" red half ignored lumiere's question. "we must go, i have nothing though. i should learn how to make my own weapons. even though spell tags supplyed me before, who knows if when i call apon them, they wont come?" red mounted lumiere, and set course for a lake.
red unmounted lumiere once he arrived. it was bright out. red silently stepped over the mossy ground to the water. his eyes turned blue, along with his stripes. he touched the water. it started to freeze. the sun went behind a cloud, and so did daylight. the area around the lake became lighted by red's glowing. after a coupple of minutes, red pulled his finger from the water. it was clear, and pure. he scooped out tiny pebbles of clear. after he retrieved from the lake a fair pile, his stripes returned to the color of black, as did his eyes. the cloud also moved away allowing sunlight. what red pulled out now glittered in the sunlight. the fingertips on red's hands now glowed a light orange. he held his hands over the pebbles, and they re-arranged themselves into a very thin longsword which, with greater speed, could be carried with two hands. red once again dug his hand under the water and into wet silt and pulled out a perfectly cut sapphire. he placed this at the hilt of his fine art. he ran his fingers over the blade, smothing and sharpening. the sword remained a liquid and a solid at the same time. the whole process took about an hour, but in the end, red was rewarded with a sleek blade which wouldnt scratch. the hilt was gold with a medium sized sapphire. the blade was tinted light blue. the longsword weighted little as it was thin, but strong. red slung it to his back. he clothed himself in a black robe, and covered his head except for his eyes. the blade gleamed against the cloth. "altho i may loose this beauty, i will still have you, lumiere. she flicked her tail. red mounted her. "off to the inn." he said grimly. *and...where would that be?" red pulled the note from his cloak, as he noticed a fine map drawn at the bottem. he scruthnized it. "north." he said as he tucked it back in. lumiere took flight, black rippling after her.

My arms were getting tired, but still I persisted towards the Inn nearest to my location. It was fairly deserted, if I remembered correctly. Champ's invisible self supported me a little as I began sinking to the ground. "It's okay; let go. I'll be landing soon anyways." I told him. I came in headfirst for a landing in front of the kicked-down door. Someone had just been here, and still may be there. "If this is a trap... we'll spring it." I muttered with a grin. My makeshift wings weren't coming off anytime soon, but they could fold a little. I managed to squeeze through the door and came up to a figure sitting at the lobby's center table. Some lanterns were lit, but they provided only shadowy light, which gave off an eery glow. "Hello? Am I interrupting something?" I whispered. I felt like I shouldn't disturb the quiet in this place. Champ crept behind me, but only I could see him. He wouldn't do anything unless I asked him to, anyways.

red spotted a small town first. "...we should get some more equipment here first." he said. the town wasn't a yoshi town, but a human one. these were very uncommon, and red was surprised. red spotted a closeby forest, and asked lumiere to take him there. she did so, and landed silently and gracefully. red would bear his sword, but would not take off his cloak. "wait here, ill be back by nightfall. go and hunt if you need to, just don't expose yourself to these humans." lumiere nodded, and trampled through the forest to find a clearing. red set out in the opposite direct twords the town.
the town was filled with people, streets full of beggers, merchants, and children running wildly. red kept his cloak drawn over him so he wouldnt be noticed - and he wasnt. he quickly made his way to the blacksmith. in red's broken english, he tryed to explain as best he could to the smith that he needed a short, but well sword, a few daggers, and a medium buckler. the smith told red too come back in a few hours, and red nodded. red then trotted over to the town carpender. he brought a bow in trade for his foreign gold yoshi coins. red got off easy here since the carpender hadn't ever seen this type of currency, and thought it was actual gold. red brought the best bow the carpender offered, along with a quiver which he could unstring the bow and carry it in along with arrows. the bow was thin, and not of human make, but he didn't ask the carpender where he had gotten it. red then got some food for a dinner, picked up his finished weapons from the blacksmith, and headed twords lumiere attatching all of his supplys to himself. red ran with a quick pace of fear that someone may have noticed him.
red approached the forest, and took off his equipment and supplys. he made camp, and called lumiere. "we will leave tomarrow." said red as he took a bite out of a fruit that was one he hadn't tasted. it was sour and sweet at the same time. *that was no ordinary town..* thought red as he settled to bed.

Sry im late.... my comp was broke.... so i had to use a school comp.... this is the first time ive ever written something like this so could someone let me know if i did it right.... well i tried.
***
I was standing on the top of a hill standing with my head back and eyes closed facing towards the most extraordinary red orange to yellow horizon with shadows of trees and other rock faces along the horizon... i was thinking to myself <What am I to do....> I fell back onto the lush green grass and opened my eyes and laid my head on my arms and thought...<why me..why did this happen to me>
*An explosion of fire flashed in her memory of her village burning then the memory of a young yoshi's crying face "SISTER!!!"*
<Brother....>
*Snap*
I heard a sound come from behind me and my eyes quickly jolted to my rear left. I then felt a static shock up my back, it was the elements i control telling me there was something here that means me harm... I saw a shadow duck in behind the giant oak behind me. Not letting on that I'd seen him I unsheathed my claws. The shadow peeked out again from behind the tree expecting to still see me lying on the ground but didnt see me...
"YYYAAAAA!!!!!"
I jumped from the tree above the character and planted my right claw in his shoulder pinning him to the ground.
"Who sent you?"
He did nothing but mearly smirk up at me. I held my left claw to his throat.
"I'll ask one more time who sent you...."
He once again smirked but this time he said something.
"So you've improved i didn't even see you....coming...."
He then became silent. I hadn't noticed but the wound i had created with my right claw had been a lethal blow becase one of my claws strayed and caught him in one of his major blood vessels and he had been bleeding severely from the neck.
<Damn it!>
I removed my claw and noticed a peice of parchment on his waistband. I sheathed my claws and removed the parchment unfurling it to read:
Come to the deserted inn, come alone and prepared.
This was written in black ink and looked as if a person of upper class had written it...
<Hmmm...a deserted inn...>
I thought to myself that there was a town not too far from here and it had been a deserted town for some time now i then thought to heed this meesage and jumped to my feet moved my had to my chest and vowed that i would avenge my family then ran towards the end of the cliff jumped landed at the bottom and set off eastward towards this...deserted inn....

ooc: its pretty good for a first time.
red awoke before lumiere. he examined his new weapons more closely. the short sword was actually heavier then his longsowrd. it wasn't as short as a dagger, but no longer then red's elbow to his shoulder. the blade was made of a strong alloy of metals that red could not distinguish. the blade's color was a deep green. red still admired his longsword which was about the size of himself - and still light enough to hold in one hand - but this strange short weapon would only be used in moments which he couldn't possibly draw his long weapon. the medium buckler was made of leather and a very strange wood. red was a little disapointed as he picked it up, and noticed how light it was. "this wont last..." he said as he fascined it to the sword. what red didn't realize was that the shield, dispite its make, was quite strong and flexible. red then looked at the daggers. 10 of them layed infront of red. he could use them for throwing, or, if he didnt want all the balk, just carry one of them. the blades were silver. each one had a ruby stud on the hilt. valuable. "i got off real easy here." thought red. the food was gone as red and lumiere had eaten it the night before. it was delicious. red silently drew his cloak over his body. he didn't feel to good, and left camp.
red thought that he would take a better look at the town since it was still earily. most people would be in bed, asleep and the few that walked by wouldn't notice him. as red approached the town, he saw that it was burned. red looked shocked! the houses were a heap of coal. red didn't recall smoke last night, nor did he recall fire. he went over, and prodded an arrow head into one of the burnt buildings. it almost disinigrated. "theres no heat here." said red aloud. "what was this? i was just here last night..." red's weapons were still intact as the night before. he remembered where the carpender and the blacksmith where. both burnt. everything, burnt. red didn't like it at all. he ran back to camp, and awoke lumiere. she didn't feel too good either. "we must leave." urged red. "the town is burnt." red then feel to his knees, and vomited. it was acid, eating away at the dirt. "this...isnt...right..." said red feeling weak. "lumiere..." red summoned the strengh to mount his wyvern, then he fainted.

(sorry guys, finding time to write in RPs is getting harder to find during the week)
I glanced at the yoshi preceeding into the room. " No, a bit early though. "
I motioned for her to sit down. The mellow lights flickered and wavered like serpents toungues and the room had a bit of a dark sunset appeal.
I looked at her curiously, she had a strange pair of wings.
"Whats you name? Of course, if you are uneasy about sharing it I understand,as so am I."

red opened his eyes. he blinked. he was still in a forest, and still felt pretty sick. he sat up with alot of trubble. all of his weapons, his belt, and his cloak lay next to him. he was near a stream, and was quite thirsty. the water was cool and clear, so he took a drink. he then felt good enough to finally gain full conciousness. he was surrounded by plants, many of them. plants of various colors, bushes, trees. he could also faintly see sunlight from up above, about a few hundred feet. "wow." said red aloud, but he choked on his words and started coughing. he spat out blood, he was injured on the inside. "the food..." red thought. "it wasn't safe to eat..." he couldn't stay like this for much longer, he would soon die. he had trubble breathing. the food must of took a great deal to his lungs. he stood up, shivering, altho the day was very warm. he tryed calling lumiere. no answer. red was dieing. he summoned the power of the spell tags, which floated around him. he selected one with very sharp long claws on it. red started sprouting claws from his knucles. the grew to be a foot long, and heavy. the bones and joints in his hand turned as hard as stone to support the new weapons. red sliced down a small tree, or a large root, he couldn't tell. it just so happened to be a root which could possibly heal him. he made a fire, and without realizing it, started to gather berrys. he picked from the ground a large leaf, and filled it with water from the stream. he then crushed the berrys into the water. he hobbled back over to the fire, and drank the substance. it was soothing down his sore throat, and the fumes of the fire brought a spice that he inhaled deeply. it soon put red to sleep, drugging him with lovely memories of his past, and also of what may be his future.
the next time red awoke, it was night. the fire was still going, and red felt alot stronger. he had taken the perfect elixer of his sickness. he belted on all of his belongings, damped the fire, and ran calling for lumiere with his thoughts. this turned out to be hopeless, but he still kept running until he tripped, and fell out of the forest, and onto a dirt rode. one of the daggers left a wound in the side of his left arm. his brain rang, he couldn't stop himself from falling...and tasting blood. evil figures danced around his head along with the ringing. the wound was large, and deep. he starting losing blood, and fast. he was soon sitting in a pool of it. red felt weak, and fainted, making the blood splash as he hit the ground.

I accepted the figure's invitation to sit down. "Names these days..." I sighed. "You can call me Yoshee. With two E's instead of an I, you know?" The figure was looking at me curiously. "What? Oh, the wings. Can't seem to get them to be big enough to actually fly more than glide..." I tried to turn around in my seat to see if they would catch on anything. Seeing that they were firmly folded together, I slid back around in my chair. So the guy knows the secret with names... I thought. "Well, if you don't want to share your name either, what can I call you?" Champ kept near the doorway. He didn't want to stir up any dust clouds, but he wanted to see if I would need assistance. <This guy doesn't look like he would set a trap...> He told me. I couldn't respond, however.

<Night> A postman is riding a horse slowly through the woods on a small path, warily."these dark woods give me the creeps", he says quietly to himself. At that moment he enters a clearing with a tree in the middle."Is this the right place?", the postman asks himself.Slowly he gets off his mount and walks toward the tree.He takes a letter out of his pocket, and reads the address.Just then a dagger flys out of nowhere and catches the letter and pins it to the tree. The postman stumbles back out of fear.He then gets up and runs to his horse, as a second dagger flys out and embeds itself in the ground in front of the steed. The spooked horse turns and bolts off into the trees. The postman turns around and bumps into a cloaked figure who grabs him by the collar."who sent you?', the dark figure says in a raspy voice."p-p-postman delivering a l-l-letter to one m-mr. D-Draco!", stutters the postman. The dark figure pulls back his cloak and fingers the knife at his side."leave now your job here is done!"says the dark figure with an unwavering stare.not wanting to chance the anger of the shadowy figure by staying, the postman turns and runs back down the path. The cloaked figure turns an walks toward the letter pinned to the tree.He takes it down and reads the address. He stares at it for minute, then looks up to the full moon in the sky."Why would they have need of me.......", he says quietly to himself. *P.S. i am a little late cause i just signed up *

On the way to this deserted inn I noticed a shadowed figure laying near the edge of a forest to the right me. I cautiously crept in to take a closer look unsheathing my claws for the chance to protect myself if the time arised and this had been a trap... on a closer look at the shadow I noticed that it was a red and black striped yoshi bleeding heavily from the right arm. <Oh my god...!> If I didn’t help fast he was going to die. I searched through my bag for herbs of any sort that I could use to slow the bleeding but my search was unsuccessful. Then I though....maybe I could burn the wound shut.... "Hope you don’t mind....Oh Great God of Fire please heed my call... Give me the power to heal this man's fatal wound!" My hands then warmed to red hot. I slowly pressed them on his wound and i heard a hiss of the blood boiling then hardening to for a temporary scab. "I've got to get you to a town to help you!" ".....Nooo....." I flinched. "Hm?" "....Lumiere....must find....Lumiere...." "Lumiere?" I thought this must be his companion because of the way he speaks of it. Then all of a sudden a shock goes up my spine but before I could turn around I was hit by what felt like a leathery wing. This blow sent me flying a couple feet up the road, and before I could retaliate the beast lunged at me again this time threatening me with its claws. Then as a final strike because I knew I’d probably die I dodged to the left and swung around sliced at the towering dragon, but it failed to do a thing, I then puled a mid strike somersault flipping back to dodge the beast’s tail swipe then landing in a battle ready pose. I stood there looking up at the huge beast then I noticed a saddle on its back and immediately assumed that it might be Lumiere and it was protecting its master. The wyvern reared back ready to attack the I heard a small voice behind me “…Lumiere?...” The wyvern stopped in mid attack and walked over to the red yoshi and nudged him with it nose “…What happened?...” The red yoshi tried to stand but failed and fell to the ground I ran forward but the protective dragon stopped me. “Please…let me help him if not he’s going to die!” The dragon reluctantly moved it’s wing back. I rushed over to him. The scab wasn’t holding well it was still bleeding mildly it must have been from where he stood up. “We’ve got to get him to the nearest town…” I said this to the wyvern hoping it would understand. It nodded. “…there I can get the right herbs to heal his wounds properly.” It nodded and bent down so as I could mount it. I picked up the red yoshi in piggyback and boarded the wyvern. We then set off towards the town. Halfway there the red yoshi awoke enough to talk. “Are you okay?” I asked him……

red grunted, and looked down at his side. "healed..." he said aloud. "thank you, who are you?" red also noticed lumiere. he then felt hurt all over his body, and his brain throbbed. it was hard for him to stay concsious "lumiere, what happened? where were you?" he asked with his mind. "i didn't feel good, i'm sorry i left you." red was glad. "i couldn't contact you eariler, you were knocked out. i then noticed you right before the dagger stabbed you, and i hurried twords you." "and who is she?" asked red, tilting his head slightly to the female carrying him. "i don't know, i found her next to you, and thought she was doing harm." red understood. red still had all of his weapons, and they clinked together everytime the stranger took a step. he wanted to walk, even though he felt weak.

I came to where the map led me to. Quick to notice that a light was coming from a deserted inn, I assumed that it might be a trap. "If they think they can catch me off guard, then they're sadly wrong." I said to myself as I approached the door. Picking up my revolvers, I forcefully kick the door, and yelled "If this is a trap, put your hands up!"
