Shadowfall

[Riffoshi]

The red yoshi was rustling on my back on i heard him say something that sounded like a <thank you> followed by a muffled jumble of words.
"Try not to speak,"
I said to him moving my cloak away from my face.
"You need to save your energy. Anyways we're getting close to the town I can feel it."
I looked back at the yoshi I was carrying and smiled, I then noticed something I didn't notice before, a piece of parchment in his waistband like the one I found.
<Hmmm...I wonder if that...>
I looked up at the wyvern which was looking down at me almost as if to speak to me. I was a bit uneasy about it because I figured that the only reason that it was along was because it didn’t want to see any harm come to its friend. I then looked back at the traveler on my back, trying to figure out if he was on the same quest as me…
Then in the distance I noticed something, it looked like a small building. As we continued more arose from the horizon.
<This must be the town>
We entered the town and I looked around I noticed a orange yoshi approaching a building that some light was coming from. I looked over at the wyvern who must’ve had the same idea as me, I nodded towards it and we both crouched down. I unsheathed my claws just incase he meant any harm because I then noticed that the yoshi was carrying dual revolvers and had its hands at the ready. I watched as it approached the building which I then noticed was the ‘INN’.
<Hmmm…>
I felt a slight rustling on my back as we hid in the darkness and one of the travelers weapons fell on the ground, I flinched looking back up at the orange yoshi.
<Whew he didn’t hear that…>
I slowly bent down to pick up the sword which was very heavy for it’s short size. I then reasheathed it in the traveler’s pack. By time I turned around to see the other yoshi he was inside. I didn’t know what dangers may be inside this place but I put all my trust on my senses and approached the inn. I then felt a little blood trickle down my arm.
<Oh god,…he’s bleeding again.>
I quickly moved towards the inn.
I entered very cautiously and looked around I looked over at a group of yoshi’s around a table. Frantically I rushed over.
“I need help if not he’s going to die!”…

[Banbanban]

Out of the corner of my eye I noticed a light coming from the empty patch of leaves in the trees. I had been traveling for a couple of days now and I was a little weary, but as ever I was alert. I crept close to the patch and noticed a small town below the ridge. One thin in particular that I noticed was that an orange figure had just ran into a small building, in which a small dim light had been escaping through the windows. The building looked rundown and old. I decided that it was none of my business when I saw out of the corner of my eye a large figure running down the slope towards the town. It look as if it was two figures, one carrying the other on its back. The thing that kept me from turning away though is the massive creature that was following the two. A wyvern. I was shocked to see a wyvern this close to any town. I was compelled to follow it, so I crept out of the trees and then dashed for the slope. as quietly as i could I followed the wyvern and its companions. The two figures went into the old building I saw earlier, almost instantly, followed by the wyvern. It was at this moment that I realized what the building really was. It was the inn that I was instructed to go to in my letter. As dark thoughts coursed through my mind, I unsheathed one of my daggers and drew my cloak tightly around myself. I stepped through the threshold and into the dim light. I swiftly hid behind a couple of barrels of grain next to the door and peered between them to see what was going on. I saw a group of yoshi’s in the corner. Including the orange yoshi and the black one that I saw carrying the other. The red and black yoshi on the ground was bleeding and looked to be unconscious….

[red.yoshi]

"no..." mumbled red. "i'm...fine..." he hoisted himself off the black yoshi onto the ground, trying to stand up. instead he fell over, and moaned. Lumiere growed, bearing her white teeth. red reached his hand into the air as a piece of paper fell from the ceiling. he caught it in his hand. *this is very risky...* he thought. he was in no condition to use magic, but it was death if he decided not to use it. red lifted himself up on his elbow, and he haunched over on one knee. *lumiere.* thought red. *lend me your strength.* lumiere closed her eyes, and stood still as stone. red choaked up a few words. the paper turned into a white flame, and he pressed it against where he had gotten hurt. he then feel over, paralized from head to toe. the magic was taking its toll. lumiere went over to red, and spread her wings over him. *its ok.* she thought to red. *the black yoshi will help you, she will know what to do.* *i feel so helpless.* replyed red in a disgusted tone. *Atleast, i think we are at our destination.* thought lumiere, trying to change the subject. even though she wanted to encourage red, she knew how he felt since they also exchanged emotions. red was helpless, but healed. he didn't like it, but it was better then death which would also harm lumiere.

[Teo]

"Finally, I think this is it!" It had taken Teo most of the day to find out where this extremely specific inn had been located. He had visited all the cities, found that half of them didn't have inns, took the other half's tourist pamphlets from a single hotel he passed, finally found one mentioning the 'rusty' corner of life. He re-read that article on his way, walking to the proper town. "The Rusty corner inn is the oldest inn, sealed off due to termites, moss, old age and threatening to break down at any minute. Fun." Teo proceeded to the inn, walking up the dusty path up to the front door.

"This could be a trap... wonder who'd want me though? I keep a low rep. Bah what the heck, I've got three lives." An eerie thought crept into Teo's mind. You do remember... how... you got those, right? Teo sighed at the distant memory, trying to forget, his good mood sighing down to that of seriousness and depression. He pushes the door and it slowly creeked open...

Shoot, I should have smelled the area first. Too late now. Teo looked past the door and saw a few figures. Two seemed like very tall chairs, one he couldn't recognize, another had large wings and a little fluttering chao. Teo could recognize that thing anywhere. "Uhm... am I late?" He called out.

[Banbanban]

From Behind the barrels i watched as the red and black yoshi pulled a piece of white paper out of the air and a bright light emmited from it. At That moment i looked down and saw a claw at my throat.I had not been paying attention to the others in the room, and the black yoshi had caught me.I Swore to myself for being so unaware as i stood up slowly.

"what do we have here?", i heard a female voice say behind me.
"I was told to come here...i got a letter with a location and i answered the summon....", i said surely.
I slowly pulled the letter from my belt and held it up.....

[Lord of the Dance]

I slowly held my hands into the air as the orange Yoshi demanded. Champ snuck around behind him. Then, everything caved in as several Yoshis bounded through the door, one injured and the other carrying him, and then a dragon following.
Then I heard a familiar voice asking if he was late.
<Hoy, Teo can see me!> Champ called over. He was stuck against the wall from the dragon, but he managed to squish out and rush to my side, becoming fully visible in a flash of light. I looked over at Blaze, but decided now was not the time to apologize for not following his rules.
I hurried over to the other side of the room to catch some breath, but I tripped over some sacks of grain in my haste and fell right on top of a black, clawed Yoshi that seemed to be threatening another.
"Ah!" I cried out as I came down on top of the Yoshi.

[Andreshi]

"This is either the worst trap I've ever seen, or this isn't a trap." I said as I lowered my weapons. "Most likely, it isn't." I looked around the room and asked the question that maybe everybody was thinking of. "Why are we here?And who sent those messages?"

[Riffoshi]

I felt the red yoshi start to fall off my back, and i move to try and catch him but he move his hand to jesture to let him fall. he moved to get to his feet then collapsed i moved to help him and he boosted himself up on his elbow then looked up at Lumiere and raised his arm in the air...I felt a shock up my spine and my eyes immediately shot owards barrels in the corner and i noticed a cloaked man peeking out from between them. I pulled my cloaked back over my face. I waited , not moving, until i saw him duck back behind them. I then looked over at the others whom all were focused on the red yoshi and his magic. I swiftly moved back against the wall and slid over in behind the man who was now also focused on the red yoshi's magic arts. i slowly unsleathed my claws so as not to make a sound and moved them in front of the cloaked human's throat...
"What do we have here?"
I asked. He started to say something but out of no where the green yoshi came fleeing towards me and i quickly sheathed my claws so as not to kill the intruder in case he to had a purpose here and jumped out of the way letting the green yoshi fall on the human. I stood up
"what should we do with this guy who was spying on us?"
I asked tilting my head towards the, what looked like almost unconscience but merely dazed human and yoshi on top of him...

[Banbanban]

I shoved the green yoshi off me and sat up to a sitting position.I caught my breath because the flying yoshi had knocked the wind out of me.I heard some raised voices from the other side of the room and the orange yoshi had put his weapons away, but was still shouting.

"Why are we here?And who sent those messages?", the orange yoshi bellowed at the room.The whole room went deadly quiet at that moment.The red yoshi lying on the ground had not gotten up yet from what i could see but his injuries had healed.

I stood up slowly and helped the green yoshi up.

[Yoshi4ever]

"I sent the letter's, most of you think you got them by mistake, but i'm willing to trust that the messengers choose their recievers well. You are here because, as some of you may know, there is a threat to Yoshi's Island. This threat comes from far away, but soon it will attack. I'm not sure why they are attacking, or how, but for some reason they want a threshold here. I need your help. So does Yoshi's Island."

[Banbanban]

"what threat would that be, that you would send for ME?" i asked quietly as preety much every eye in the room was on the only other human in the room than myself.This quest that he was starting could do so without the likes of me....

[Riffoshi]

After the dodge incedent another human in the room spoke and i fugured that he must've been the one who sent for me or... us, because he looked mildly like a merc(Sword an dagger). He then told us that he had sent for us and that the island was in danger. The intruding human that i had attacked then spoke up and said something that i didnt catch. At that point i saw a slight spot of bare skin where my claw had slit a small slice in his cloak and i noticed that on his chest beneath the cloak was green scales. I thought i saw him notice me looking and i looked away. At this time i actually took a closer look at the guests. I then spoke up.
"Umm yeah if were working together to do this uhh... which we are im guessing... we should at least know a little bit about each other don't you think?"
I directed my question at the merc looking human.
"My name's Pyro and im an elemental assassin, my weapon...My Claws whats your guys'?"

[red.yoshi]

lumiere looked up, and spoke through everyone's minds. *red.yoshi, here, is my companion. he is currently paralized, and his energy is slowly draining from the magic he has just used. he need's an elixer, we need help. red might never wake up from this 'sleep' without a certain type of medicine. red trusts you, and i trust you enough to direct my speach to your thoughts. do not abandon us." lumiere spoke this in a completely calm, but serious tone. she pulled one of red's daggers from it's sheath - the one that had stabbed him. she licked the blood off the dagger, and replaced it.

[Banbanban]

I thought to myself that such devotion from a wyvern to another being would mean a great bond between the two.

It was at that moment that i decided to help the wyvern heal his companion, and that would ultimately require that i join this quest.I decided that I would risk it.
The wyvern seemed to glare at me for a moment but i thought it was nothing....just the tricks of my mind because of the weariness....still...i couldn't help but wonder if the wyvern really knew the truth about me.......

[Lord of the Dance]

"Thank you, sir." I brushed off my arms, then the orange Yoshi demanded his question. And Blaze answered.
"Well, I'd be glad to help save Yoshi's Island. Sounds fun." I smiled. Champ gave a thumbs-up from where he was.
The black Yoshi-Pyro, she called herself- told a bit about herself. I decided to speak up.
"Call me Yoshee. And my Chao over there is Champ. We pretty much do whatever. My weapon is my mind." I winked, ruffling my mechanical wings a little.

[Teo]

Teo's giant head protruded from the door. "Alright, another quest! Ready as ever! As for weapons... I think I'm set!" Teo said, grinning cheesily at the table. "My name's Theodore, call me Teo if you please, it's a lot shorter." Teo looked around the room at the others, then paused for a good minute before thinking of other things. Whoops, I better get remembering... Red, Yoshee, that guy's name's Pyro, this guy's... ah! Forgot. Hey, what is he looking at... he's looking at Red's friend. Teo could tell something was going on between them. He wanted to know what though. All the books I read on dragons seem to say that dragons have some powers, I haven't found them. I wonder if... He emptied his mind, closed his eyes, and faced Red's friend, but heard nothing. Dangit, so much for probing on mental thoughts. Ah well. Hey, at least I got a physical edge. No one leaves this place till I get my head out! Haha... Teo listened to the rest of the conversation going on...

[Andreshi]

"So this is to save Yoshi's Island. I might as well introduce myself. My name's Andreshi, and I'm a bounty hunter. I usually don't like to work for free, but I guess I can make an exception, this time." I said as I thought to myself. Aw man, I guess I might as well take this for free, its not like there are any good bounties out there at the moment. "Oh, and sorry for aiming my weapons at you two earlier, its just that one can't be to be to careful. Of course I got one piece of advice" I said as I took out my two revolvers. "This are my weapons, Eternal Life and Eternal Death, and if you want to live, you might want to think twice before you get between them and their target." I then put my weapons back.

[Banbanban]

"I am Draco, I wield a pair of silver throwing knives with blessed properties that will respawn in my sheathes when i pull them out.....I specialize in stealth.....and that....that is all you need to know about me......" I spoke quietly, to everyone in the room. I noticed the black yoshi pyro staring at my chest again, but when i caught her glance she looked away.strange......

[Riffoshi]

Everyone introduced themselves except the humun who sent for us...
"And you..?"
I asked this question towards him. From what I could sense in these people in the room with me, I could tell that the cloaked one was, I thought to be, a half-breed human and dragon because of the scales I noticed on his chest, A morpher from the facial attributes, in the doorway, a green red and orange yoshi, the merc looking human, and there also was the chao...

[red.yoshi]

red was brought back to himself by the stranger yoshi. "thank you, sir." said red. "my weapons..." red pulled open his cloak to reveal his red skin with black stripes. his wound had be completely healed. all of red's weapons were there. he quickly aranged them into a safer position. "are here. thank you, pryo, for helping me here. i owe my life to you." red then faced the stranger. "why was i summoned here?"
